  1. can somebody please PM me the workshop name!
  2. The pineapples are a bush that pre-loads the cradel bush that supports the diff sub frame. By preloading the subframe in different ways, it is possable to change the characteristics of how the bush reacts to the torque that is applied to it by the diff. so, it is possable to preload the sub-frame 3 different ways. 1. maximium grip (which is what i use) 2. minimum grip (for drifting) 3. all round performance. best of all, if you wish, u can remove the bushes and leave the car standard! They don't take long to fit and you do not alter/change anything else. just put them in, and away u go. You can swap them around to 'tune' the rear end for track or drift days! They do make a difference.. they do not have a profound effect like going from a street tyre to a slick, but it is a noticable difference. cheers
  3. This mite help you poor buggers out! My best mate had the same problem for weeks in his VL turbo with the 044. After MANY hours of hair pullin I found the problem. On his VL, he had to remove a fitting from the intake of the pump to fit a different barbed fitting to fit his fuel line. In the bosch fittting is a one way valve! When you turn you car off, the fuel slowly looses pressure and drains back into the tank. Makes sence! Now, My tuner said that he has a few drama's with the standard one way valve with high fuel flow applications and guys have removed them to get more flow. Then this problem arrose. sometimes they do leak pressure as well! That help?
  4. where do u live..? i've got 3! I've got another 2 that are chevy balancers off an old races engine that have been moded to fit RB30.. if its on the north side, i'm down that way regularly and could probably drop it off! pm me..
  5. long shot, I'm in queensland, i'll trade u! I have a 3inch with a centre hot dog and a rear cannon with a silencer in it.. pm me if ur interested! We could probably sort something out.. i know u said its sold, but if that falls through pm me.
  6. well, all i have left is a set of 4 pineapples. as per foto! these are very good for helping to get MORE grip! They are easy to install (about 3/4 hour) u can do it urself with just a few tools.. and you don't need another wheel alignment! $65! plus post.. $5 any takers..?
  7. blow off valve into the exhaust is not a new concept.. If u look waaaaaaay back, back into the dark ages, the humble mini (in race version) had the oil breather hose conected into an elbow on the exhaust. I wont go into the reasons, but it WORKED. I have seen a maximuim effort street car with this mod done.. but i've only seen one! His idea was completly different to that of the EPA I have NEVER heard of it being done for a road worthy! From what I can uderstand of the EPA law, the Blow Off Valve MUST be vented back into the intake tract (like standard) so that any/all oil fumes or vapours can be burnt by the engine during the combustion process. Just put the standard BOV back on! that'll shut them up on that.. Exhaust..? I think that is a state thing! I'm sure somebody would sell u one in the 'for sale' section! REAL CHEAP! that help?
  8. ok, can somebody PM me with the car yard. I know a guy who is very high up in Main Roads in the traffic inspection area. I'll see if i can get hold of him for u Amy. (he is VERY busey man) I used his services about 4 years ago and got a workshop shut down for dodgy roadworthies... and they still to this day have not paid for the repairs! (thats another story!) AFTER you get ur sweeet ride back, do all import drivers a favour and ring ACA and today tonite.. even a very large news paper! let everbody know about these jerks. I think I saw ur car in the area that u found it.. i was checking out the rear apron on it! Nice car! I travel from Brizzy to Hearvey Bay weekly for workl. I see lots of nice imports.. I remember things that nice! Well, at least you found it! GPS tracking for your car hey? Aaron

  10. I saw a sunflower yellow series 2 stagea in a workshop today! It was gettting new tyres.. and man it needed them! It was an awsome example of the nissan, it was in full glory with a pollished FMIC and was well polished paint! Its nice to see a family wagon with an owner who cares for it.. Very nice!
  11. On March 10, 3intheback and I held our frist skid pan day for the year.. We had a great day with a wide range of vehicles turning up. I am glad to say that most of the vehicles were of the turbo powered variety. Two of the cars were from the forum and they both performed very well. Our next skid day will be held on May 18. All the details are the same as the last skid day, but here they are again anyway.. Cost is $100, for 8 hours. You get FREE BBQ lunch and FREE drinks all day for you and your wife or mate. You also get Free tuition from a qualified instructor. Tuition is built into the day as part of the day and is open to everybody, however one on one tuition is available to anybody who asks.. We run these days to have heaps of fun and learn some cool tricks while we are there. The day is open to everybody who can drive, and we do prefer cars with boost and an LSD.. The skid pan is wet with water only(as per RoadCraft rules) so sliding around on it does not have an adverse effect on your tyres or drive train. This is a prepaid event, so book early. This is also a closed event. which means we lock the main gates. The gates are opened for any customers wishing to get fuel, food or any other reason! Feel free to ask any questions.. If you are interested, PM me and I will send you details or just add to the thread! Cheers. Aaron

I bought them in bulk and I have 2 complete kits left.. The camber kit is designed to give a range of 1.5 degrees of camber adjustment, because it is adjustable, it is possable to dial in whatever is required! This will help solve the 'scrubbing' of the inside of the back tyres. The whole kit is made by super-pro, which means they ae Australian made! This whole kit includes pineapples and full camber kit (8 bushes) for $280. $10 freight Australia wide. You can PM me..or You can email me on [email protected]
  19. My freind had an experience with the haltec. i thought it was my freinds car, but 2 ECU's died in under 4 weeks. After 3 months, Haltec fixed the problem. However, they did fix it! What ever you buy, just check out their after sales service. Make sure u read ALL the fine print in the warrentee, and that all your aftermarket parts are supported by the ECU u wish to buy! ECU options are something else to consider. Cold start, how godd the closed loop control is, traction tontrol, dual maps for Nos .. all that kind of stuff.. does that help?
  20. At least if they are coloured, they are not the stock stuff!
  21. R33 front rotors are 296mm for the GTS-T!
  22. Compound of tyre is very important! like nismoid said! tyre side wall will aid grip. don't forget about the evils of weight! then the rolling diameter! choices!
  23. its always nice to see girls who are not scared of mixing it up with the boys! I had always wondered what i 'thingy' was.. I really like the way u put that! I'm keen to see more of your in-depth opinions on such things and thingies! Good work!
  24. I saw a VL turbo on the dyno about 4 years ago, stock setup with a 2.5inch exhaust. The owner was sure that the device made more power. After heaps of us bugging him about it, he put it on the dyno. The deal was this: if it made more power WITH the device fitted, we all chipped in and bought him some beer and paid for the dyno session, it he lost power, he paid. After just over 2 hours on the dyno, well, we got the beer! I'm no beer drinker, but it was interesting to see the power difference! In 5th gear at 110km/h, the device lost 2hp! we did a few runs, but the average was 2hp. the operator ramped it up, then down. The dyno operator made a comment that the fuel numbers were changing, only slightly, but changing just the same! The VL owner was chutching at straws and asked about an outright power pull. We all agreed, we figured we had nothing to loose! the humble old VL made a duplicate shaped power curve, but it was all to the right. it lost peak power by 7-9 hp. The arugment was settled.. but the owner of the VL stated that he MAY not have the Hi-clone in the corect place.. bla bla bla.. I have yet to see ANY car MAKE power with this device! I wish i got a print out of that day. But rest easy, save your $$ for a real mod! any conflicting evidence?
  25. 1 passenger is permitted in the front seat! So Ska, no hitch-hikers ok! Our first skid day is now full! But I'm sure i could squeeze one more in if they are keen! The more Nissans, the better.. Stagea's, skylines.. man I'd even take a Silvia! Feel free to tell your mates about it! After our first day, we are having 3 more! so if the date didn't fit, maybe you can come to the next one! Cheers..
