  1. On you tube there is a dyno run of some USA guys playing with a small 4cyl car, honda in think. They did a power run and got a graph, then did another run with a leaf blower jammed into it! It made more power! I would buy a leaf blower before that stupid thing! go the tuba idea.. that is one big mean mother ram tube!
  2. I'm looking for the thread on RB25 standard bottom end max rev limit. I know that it is in here somewhere, i just cant find it..! Cheers
  3. aaarrgghh ha ha ha ha.. i thought that after a few people got stung with this stupid thing that they would KILL whoever sold it to them.. there by removing everybody off the planet who thought they might make a quick buck out of some poor sucker who thinks it is gonna do some sort of voodoo on their engine.. My poor little engine moves about 5000L of air a min at max revs.. dunno if the puta fan is really gonna help.. did u happen to notice the freakishly small wires! To move large amounts of air in a very short period of time, you will need LOTS of electricity, and i do mean lots. Ever noticed the size of the wire on a big 16inch thermo.. and they still wont come close to the amount of air needed. My electrical engineer mate said you are gonna need cables bigger than jumper leads to make real power and a very strong electic motor. the power needed is massive.. but he said even after you do that, ur battery will be flat in like 4min! So, that is a very basic reason why it wont work! if you had like, a 1.3L engine that didn't rev past 3000 rpm, then at cruise it MAY help fuel ecconomy... but that is still a VERY big ask of a cheap bit of junk.. Will some one buy one and find out how bad it really is! cos i'm not gonna!
  4. So every body understands what we are on about.. The ethos of our skid day is this... Grab your street car.. grab some fuel and your mate, go to the skid pan and scatch an ich.. Drive your car as it is.. learn how it acts and reacts on a slippery wet surface. Have some fun... Talk to some of the other drivers, have some more fun. Get some tuition. Learn what your car is asking of you.. have some more fun scratching that ich, skid around and play a bit more, if the need arises, grab a free soft drink. Now you are starting to get an idea of what is happening, Get some more tuition.. Learn some new skills, then, hone your new skills, put new skills into practice. Grab a snag off the BBQ and eat a burger. just for a difference, do a a bit more skidding. try not to smile so hard that it hurts! After about 3 skid days like this.. you will catch onto what we are on about! Cheers. Aaron
  5. As Tim said, The rules are explained very clearly first thing in the morning. I have no option but to enforce the roadcraft rules. We try and make it fair for everybody, but if you don't play by the rules... That was the first car in 6 skid days that somebody was asked to leave! I feel sorry for him, but rules are there for a good reason, the rules are not even hard to comply with! That was the only small downer of the whole day. I explain the rules VERY clearly so i don't have to boot people out. I would rather everybody have fun and play nice.. He got his slap on the wrist.. he can come back. Aaron

  19. If the guys that have been skidding, want to be a lot better for the next skid day.. Then attending on July 28 will get your skill level up higher, quicker! Then when you go to the SAU day, you will be better than the rest of them! lol! Has Anna bolted her prize into the boot yet? She did VERY well! Make sure u rotate it every 6 months! Otherwise they don't work when u need them! Did you guys like the car wash? I was thinking of asking them back again. I would like to mention a few others that improved during the day.. but.. hmm.. well it was all of you! I would also like to point out, the cars with softer suspension were quicker than the rock hard versions. The GTR's had 4wd, but they were REALLY working to keep up! Aaron
  20. The QLD SAU guys had a great day when they came on their day. RevHead and I are already working out a date for another SAU day. When a date has been set, I will post it up, and like before, RevHead will be taking control of the bookings. I'm sure some will be glad to brag about how well they went! LOL. I am proud to say that both 3intheback and I agree that the SAU guys were very easy to work with, and very well behaved. It's a pleasure to have any SAU members attend our skid days. Even members that have attended on our regular days have been great! Bring on the next skid day! woohoo! Aaron
