aaarrrgghh ha haha.. silly buggers.. try this. I 'stole' my wifes spare nappy bucket! they have lids that seal REALLY good! Add the water and soap of your preference.. Then drive into the car wash.. hose the car and sponge away. We were aked to leave once.. so my mate and I used a car park on the road outside of the car wash. Then drove back in to hose it off! simple!

Well, I'm due for a new helmet.. so, this is what i'm gonna do.. 1:I'm goin to be really anal and take a small set of digital scales! that will sort out the weight part of the battle for me.. 2: then I'm gonna annoy the daylights out of the staff and try on EVERY helmet in the whole store! 3: I'm NOT gonna read a single price tag or brand until I have a top 3 helmets sitting on the bench that fit the best. 4: Be happy that i just bought the the best helmet i could find! 5: Take steps to look after new helmet: like buying a bag.. (coz I'm sure it will end up sending me broke!) 6: Take steps to reduce the chance of me needing that new helmet. Did i forget anything?

ok already.. stop with the PM's about the switch on the oil line.. its an oil pressure switch for a safe guard to make sure there is always oil there! I had an oil line burst once.. it fried my old turbo and the engine bled itself dry! Cost me a new engine and turbo! it beeps it head off if there is less than 7 psi pressure.. like if u stall it! satisfied?

Skid Pan Dates: Gympie: Starts 15 March 2008
psi replied to psi's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
All the Gympie crew's days are now booked out solid. there is only SAU spots available. -
not yet. My freind and i only did a street tune on it. I am planning to get a better tune at Christmas time, it will probably end up just a fine tune. it does actually go quite hard. my mates 290hp vl couldn't keep up.. If i sell it before then, it will get a tune before i hand it over. Most GTR's on the time trial on the skid days i run struggle to keep its pace.. that help?

Maybe a 1JZ-GTE in a toyota wagon! It WILL be jap.. and it WILL have boost! Cody, u want my toy?

R33 series 1, M-spec. It has a top mount Garrett GT3040R turbo 45mm Turbonetics external Race gate Apexi pod filter speed & boost limiter removed Fmic heavy duty clutch & lighten flywheel Apexi FC 17's-255's on the back momo steering wheel timer guages upgraded brake pads with cross drilled rotors modified intake manifold adjustable castor bushes adjustable rear camber bushes pineapples Factory sun roof big stickers! 4 inch exhaust from the turbo to the cat, 3 inch cat back. the cannon has a silencer as well. remote lock, immobiliser Remote oil filter for the turbo.. (thats a LONG story!) Fire exstinguisher Battery isolater switch I have onwed the car for 6 years. It has been fun, but my wife is very keen to extend our family, so i am looking to get a wagon for her. Yes, i will be buying another imported turbo'ed car, but sadly the R33 just will not be big enough.. I have spent lots of time sorting the car out, it handles very well, has lots of grip and is a fairly well rounded car. I have not managed to put it down the quater mile or onto a circuit.. but i want to! It has only ever been really driven on the skid pan.. those who have been to a skid day with me will telll you how i treat it.. Other than that, it is a true daily driver. I really do drive it to work EVERYDAY, cos i'm lazy and refuse to walk! $16 000 here is the car in action early last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=327VTZhDojo

Thanks for the pics Ska!

I will post up a full list of all skid days for next year as soon as i can get a copy off of Grant! Then everybody will see who is in or out! I'm changing the scoring on the time trial and shoot out. It will be interesting to see it in action. Time trial: 1st 25 points 2nd 20 points 3rd 17 4th 15 5th 13 6th 10 7th 8 9th 4 10th 2 11th place or more gets 1 point DNF 0 points. Crash -2 points! for the shoot out: 1st 11 points 2nd 7 3rd 5 4th 3 everybody else gets 1 point. It is possible for 1 driver to be the fastest in both time trials and win the shoot out and win the max available 61 points. Each time trial event will be allocated points. So, if u win the first time trial u will get 25 points, then u get 6th in the second round u will get another 10 points. Then if u come 3rd in the shoot out u will get another 5 points. That makes u a total of 40 points. There is a prize for the highest points score of the day! Your points will be acrewed over the year and the winner will get the piston trophy at the end of the year! The trophy Lars (Nissan-R33) just won! Consistantcy will be the key.. Keep it smooth and tidy. Speed is fine, but accuaricy is final. Like it?

I cant get the pics to load, so I'm getting Ska to do it!

I wrote this on another thread i started about skid days.. READ IT! The ethos of our skid day is this... Grab your street car.. grab some fuel and your mate, go to the skid pan and scatch an itch.. Drive your car as it is.. learn how it acts and reacts on a slippery wet surface. Have some fun... Talk to some of the other drivers, have some more fun. Get some tuition. Learn what your car is asking of you.. have some more fun scratching that itch, skid around and play a bit more, if you feel the need, grab a free soft drink. Now you are starting to get an idea of what is happening, Get some more tuition.. Learn some new skills, then... hone your new skills, put new skills into practice. Grab a snag off the BBQ and eat a burger. just for a difference, do a a bit itch scratching try not to smile so hard that it hurts! After about 3 skid days like this.. you will catch onto what we are on about!
-
ha ha ha.. u supply a skid pan, i'll do the rest.. wink wink.. nudge nudge! ok! skid track, circut.. man i don't care.. i'll make something work!
