I passed an old pulstart of the ET variety a month back up near Gladstone, it was a poor sad looking little car.. the owner had dressed it up in youtube links and mypage links. there was writing all over it. as i passed it, i noticed one of the links took nearly the whole width of the rear hatch.. so i was left thinking, who is gonna follow this stupid car for long enough to write down all the guff so they can go home and plug it into their puta..? But I have to admit, it gave me a 15min session of laughin! I wonder what would happen if he owned a bus?

Who really gives a crap about silvia's anyhow? speaking of them.. If I owned one, I would put another engine in it! Just to piss ALL those SR freaks off! something like.. umm.. probably a toyota engine! Of all the car brands that i have seen modified by their owners, the old silvia has to be the most modified, but buy far the poorest! Really big turbo's that don't make boost until 5500.. or later, those stupid little BOV's that don't flow air (they just make a horrid noise) and exhausts that sound like a bumble bee has farted in a storm water drain.. and then there is the suspension! When you are finished playing with your toys.. come play with the big boys!

I got an old input shaft out of my old broken VL box. Cost nothin! its the best tool EVER! Its allways 100% perfect.

WRONG! the car i'm talking about was about 8 years ago! Blue 253 holden, quadrajet, 2.5 inch exhaust and a half cage, and it was all engineered approved. had (if i can remeber right..)a toyota 4 speed behind it! It went very well.. but he just couldn't bring himself to owning a poo coloured datto! I remember it well because he hit me up for a loan to help buy it.. I was all for it. I never said i was talking about the same car..

Just make sure all the fluids are full and not over full, wind the boost DOWN, raise the rear tyre pressure about 5psi higher than u usually have it (but not above what the tyre says!). the higher pressure will help the car flick around easier, down side is that there is a little less grip! Take lots of water, a chair and remove all other crap from car have fun!

yea.. seen that before! had a really stupid cam in it. it was so lumppy the thing wouldn't idle anything under 1100 rpm! but funny as heck when my mate test drove it.. the looks from people at the lights as it 'lumped' its stupid butt off! He never bought it! But he really thought about it! no, the prize still goes to the Kia.. any better offers? Do i need to add a cash bonus?

There is what I beleive to be a genuine impul 4 door R33 in Gympie. But i know its not ur brothers. My mate bought it about 2.5 years ago. It has been sold a few times.. but i think it is still in town. It has a 400R front bar.. same colour and 17's.. Please don't mistake the 2 cars. Hope you find the scum that did this! I will be on the look out! I do heaps of KM's in a week!

Well, I got my apexi out of a smash! $550 with map that wasn't too far from where it needed to be But the Hand controller didn't make it... Had to buy one.. So I waited for another smash! And yep, got it for $150 delivered in its box with the manual! But its not the end of the world if you miss out.. plenty of other ECU brands will happily take your $$$. Or just pull a stunt like i did! Keep an eye out in the QLD Events section for stuff to do with other SAU people.. cruises, drags, skid pans, shopping.. check it out

If the Merc that i was talking about looked half as clean as this schweeet looking beemer, then i probably wouldn't have started this thread! Perfectly exicuted mods.. brilliant finish! I want it! As for the 3SGTE, I beleive it was (dogdy) rules which inspired the boys to go for the 2L transplant. Doing this helped them in many area's like car balance and thermal control and also allowed them to do some other things which were not permitted with the mighty 2J. I have also heard that those rules have since been changed, but I cant say for sure that it is true! But, SR20 into R34 does not meet such scrutiny.. maybe only from us! Perhaps he should have gone for the Q45 or similar..

U cant complain to much about an SR20 in an R34. don't forget that the R33 was also released (beyond any sense that i can make of) with an RB20e and auto. Now for those of u reading this that don't know what the is, let me explain.. Remember the humble old VL and R31 skylines.. they were made with the RB30e, well, the RB20e (NOT RB20DET) looked exactly the same.. dizzy, 2 valves per cylinder & single cam! Top Secret also did a stunt like that R34.. remember their racing Supra with (If i remember correctly) a 3SGTE! Thats a 2L! I'm not saying its a good idea.. but I've seen worse! Years ago i saw a 2L combi motor in the inboard position on a boat! Last year my bother in law had an ex-taxi up on his hoist which he asked me to return for him. It was painted in 2 tone, blue over charcoal. the colours were bad enough, but the paint had texture.. it was hammertone paint!

Well, my mate had the straight jacket patrol from the government on his door this week doin an audit of his work. I was gonna have lunch there and catch up.. but the retentive, paper tickers were killing him. So, we had lunch anyhow, and they joined into our conversation about car mods.. they asked if we were poofins? huh I asked? yea poofins..! apparantly that means hoons! So a new topic started.. we come up with these names (ones i can remember) Hoon rev head petrol head gear head speed freak boost bandit boost junky adrinalin junky drifta power skidder spanner head spanner spinner bevan hoodlem boot buffer scarfer sadly I have been called all these names.. dunno where half of them come from or really mean. anybody else been called names?

I recently saw a rover V8 in a HJ ute! WHAT THE! When i asked the wacko about it.. he just said 'cos its different' I told him about the majic V8 motors from jap land! He was gobb smacked! I think the rover is on the way out as we speak! He was muttering about his mates cousin has a 1U something Toyota thing.. When i told him what that was.. he acted like he was an ADHD kid in a lolly factory! I dread goin back there in a few weeks! lol Yesterday on the way to work, I saw a Kia Carnival with spot lights that would make a Kenworth proud.. it also had Mack mud flaps and 3 CB arials. chrome hub caps and what looked like a fake carbon fibre rear wing type device on the roof. Man that made me laugh! Dopey bugger didn't know what 'look' he was after! Lucky he had NSW plates! lol

can u fit a bent 8 into an s2000? Now that would be cool.. and the little bugger would actually go, instead of making heaps of noise! lol. then add boost! I saw a proto-type V8 (i think was a ducatti)a few years back. It was 1000cc, varable intake manifold the works.. reved to 11000rpm or higher.. I always thought that would transplant into a suzuki mity boy really well! Thats different!

I love good new concepts.. I was just questioning the sanity of somebody who grabs a late model merc and cuts it up. My point was simply that some mods go hand in hand.. like a WRX motor in a combi.. both have boxer engines.. similar sizes, just that the WRX motor is much more refined and is actually reliable.. the rotor is just a weird choice.. but still a much better choice than the stock junker! so take that approach, y cut up a new merc? sure pimp the fat VIP ride out. bling the butt off it. 20" rims, black tint is cool.. but, I fail to see how fat VIP cars with a massive shiny FMIC is progress!! Totally trashed the whole look. couldn't he fit a water/air cooler in it? So if you wonna pay big bucks for a merc and cut it up to fit the FMIC.. go for it. U better hope that somebody else thinks its a cool idea when u try and sell it! That isn't progress. Progress would be fitting the water/air cooler, or a side mount supercharger. a total stealth look, nobody would know you have messed with the car.. Keep the super lux VIP image.. just u added some horsepower. otherwise it just looks like a lame boy-racer attacked it.

might be tough.. but that still doesn't make it right....! or at all sane! hmm.. grab ya flower loving uncles old dak dak of yester-year that is dieing not so gracefully in the back yard.. repaint it and.. I got an idea.. I'll stuff the 13B turbo engine outta my older brothers RX7 that he wrote off last year, into the old dak dak. now thats a great idea...? WHAT THE? you all gone mad? Did none of you read the book about sane mods for cars? You might as well stuff a 351 clevland into a VL c'dore! ohh a got a better one.. how about a Jag V12 into a datto 1200 ute! Then add a 671 B&M supercharger and just for giggles a 250hp snot of NOS! yea.. that MAY go hard.. but still does not make it a sane idea.. But you sure are right about one thing.. it sure is a different idea! WRX motor I have seen.. and it makes sence to me.. but not a 13B turbo. whatever floats you boat I guess!

and i always thought we were too lazy too do up the bolts.. appears they we too lazy to even put the bolts in! Man that makes we feel really good about some of the silly stuff i've pulled over the years!

yea it had boost but not the snarl of a 20B! had to be a 13B! didn't think the old dak dak coger would cope with the massive HP increase! as for the other odd bods.. driven a saab 9000i, wasn't a power house.. did go allright though.. but its a SAAB! My mate had a Big Block chev in a Volvo.. never, ever got pulled up in it! But man, we never got the chicks either! lol i totally get the hole VIP ride idea.. considered it myself.. but a newer merc with a blinged up FMIC is just a bit too much! you know what i'm saying.. BMW, Alfa or even a renault.. with FMIC would 'almost' look cool. its like putting a GT3540R on an ET pulstart.. sometings are just not ment to be.. yea!

I have seen a few for sale in the USA on the net.. hunt around.. u might get lucky! if you see 2 of them. buy em! lol! So, now u live in Qld, you need to know a few things.. 1: We talk a bit different here.. the slang may be hard for you to grasp sometimes! lol 2: We are, generally speaking a bunch of lazy bums! 3: y do it today? there is always tomoz! 4: hmmm.. too lazy to continue! umm, what part of Qld do you live in anyhow?

Like the title says..! I saw what i think was a 450sl Merc.. (or what ever the heck they are) dark grey, lowered, HUGE rims, black tint (like spray paint lol), and a MASSIVE FMIC! what the? the front mount was just toooooo much I think! Later Mercs and performance arnt really things that go together. I also saw a Saab 9000i convertable with a similar mods.. The main mod that stood out was the FMIC! I heard a what i swear was a 13b turbo in a combi yesterday! that made me look about 15 times before my poor little brain could put it all together! Have we run out of VL's and Sylvia's? Have you other guys seen this type of trend to mod unusual or totally odd cars with bits that shouldn't fit? I really like a different kinda car, don't get me wrong.. but a Saab?
