Well the time has come, only about 2 months after fitting the new clutch, ive some how worn my tyres out to an almost un-driveable state:confused: .. which isnt good for going around corners at 'interesting' speeds.
At the moment.. I have a set of 'near bald' 255s on the ass end, and some pretty cruddy 235s on the front.. so ive opted to go a whole new package that will hopefully help me in all round performance, handling, and durability, not to mention a set of tyres that have a decent mileage.
But where do I start? well I went down to the local beaurepaires and he showed me two sets of tyres he rekons are the shiznt.. see below.
Dunlop Formula FM901
And
Goodyear Revspec
Now im not really that big on tyres, and dont know too much, but it did seem that bearepaires only really stocked dunlops, so of course they'll be biased, as thats where theyd make the most $$.
What I need to know.. is what is a good tyre setup for an r33? I have been told 235s on the front and 255s on the rear is an excellent combination, it just needs the rubber to match the power...
So.. can anyone help?.. im looking to buy in the next week.
