  1. Is that for a 260RS or the M35 TJ?
  2. EPA Notices
  3. Well if you are not going the way of full performance mods (ie. turbo, injectors etc.) then a M35 would be good. M35 with rims, nicely lowered, nice exhaust and a decent stereo system is nice a 260RS is a pleasure to drive (driven one - love to own one) but from what it sounds like you don't need a car like that...sure you get alot of people turning heads in a 260RS but an M35 you will as well...there are not many M35's around melbourne IMO (neither are S1's or S2's for that matter) It really sounds like you want a cruiser car with a bit of power in reserve
  4. I was hunting around for suspension/shock stuff - since the price of the aussie dollar is crap i can't get coilovers...I was looking at a bilstein catalogue online and found this: Stagea (WGNC34) Kombi/Station Wagon 4WD - 03.97- FRONT: BE5-2590 REAR: BE5-2589 I was wondering if that is correct - maybe SK or others can confirm..
  5. I've got a RS4V and I love it (obviously i would love to get an RS4S but at the time I brought mine they were still going for about 22-24k) If you are looking for some style and class...get the M35 - if you can get Autech Axis Edition then even better (but hard to find) but if you looking for performance then get a C34. Autos are everywhere but if you can find a manual one (RS4S) then go for it...260RS is very nice but they are quite a hit on the ol' hip pocket. It all comes down to how much you want to spend
  6. Well I had to learn the hard way.....a couple of years ago I got fined twice for throwing ciggy butts out my car window when I was driving. Now I just use the ashtray to butt out my ciggys now...still ash out of the window....
  7. Nah not yet...want to borrow it from my mate Yeah it's the same crew that made GTR/Race 07/GTR Evolution games. This is their first try at console racing. I wanna see how "easy" it is to drive with a control pad and how in depth the tuning options are
  8. are you replacing the globes in the middle section of your climate control or the lights that light up the controls. because the control lights are very small and I don't know if the lights you are getting from DSE will fit in there. They will fit in the centre light holders (the climate control display). just get some coloured condoms to go over them if you want to keep that silvery type colour...or else they go orange I'm just pissed off now that 3 out of the 4 control lights are blown...and now i've got to replace them...and i've lost the blue covers from them aswell
  9. The C34 is from the same importer I brought mine from last year (I know this because the guy has use the same photo of the sunroofs. wow I can't beleive how much of a price drop it's been in a year - i paid 18k for mine but with 18" BBS Rims) The M35 is really nice but it's up to you if you want to save the extra to get the M35. Ben (the guy who is selling the C34) is a really good bloke to deal with
  10. I would recommend a Stagea. the Legnum while its a very nice looking car and goes well...parts are very hard to find. With the Stagea, some parts you can get from skylines. I'm the height as you and the head room is alright in the Stagea.. the main question is how much money do you want to spend??
  11. Isn't the R33 GTR gearbox only on the 260RS?? My guess the RS4S would use something like the R33 GTS4 gearbox...but then again I'm only assuming here
  12. Saw a black R34 4 Door parked out in Haig St. South Melbourne this morning near my work had a SAU Sticker on the side window...looked very clean
  13. Having been a former commonwhore driver...tyres are cheapish...depending on where you get them from (for me they would last a while as treated the commonwhore as a cruiser car) a typical p-plater commo driver would have the following options added on - fully sick stereo system with at least two subs in the boot with no sound deadner...volume no lower than 20 - lowered springs that are so low that it requires a rear camber kit but owner will never get it done because it looks so good! or chopped springs - 3 inch exhaust with a 3.5 - 4 inch cannon - at least 18" rims (mainly from the Holden range) - Snap-On throw-over car seat (passenger seat optional) - Monster Tacho with shift light (mind you the car is completely stock and my possibly drive an auto) - racing pedals - shift knob To Add on to Tango's typical day...I'll add on the typical night 19:30 start car and do burn out reversing out of driveway 20:00 pick up friends...do a burnout out the front of friends house 21:00 do burnout/dougnuts in macca's carpack to impress girls in a civic/lancer/mirage 22:00 - 00:00 drive with mates in car...yelling at chicks driving next to them...drag race evey car off the lights...burnout at every set of traffic lights 1:30 - pulled over by cops - unroadworthy sticker applied and/or car impounded for hoon laws lol stupidest incident i have seen - I was driving home at was a set of lights, I was in my car (stagea)...a AU XR6 Rolls up...fully muzzified (rims, lowered on its nuts, monster tacho, and car load of people)...he wanted to run me but i couldn't be bothered. So the lights turn green...he spins the wheels and starts to fishtale everywhere...little did he know that 3 cars behind him was a unmarked VE SS cop car...pulls him up and has the car impounded. stupidest incident i have done - This was going back a few years ago when i was driving the commonwhore. Was coming home from a cafe and was driving back to Kelior Downs...turned down Sunshine Ave. after you get off the Calder and you have the big roundabout where Maccas is...I noticed that the sprinkers have been on and has wet the road...I said to my mate "it's going to be greasy better take it easy" for people who don't know this roundabout it goes downhill a bit - around the roundabout and then uphill out...So I went through the roundabout at about 25k and as I gave at little bit more gas to go around..the back end slid out...I've ended up sliding for about half way around the round about and then corrected and faced the right way...went back around the roundabout and got to my mates place...my other friend who saw me slide though I was going to drift the roundabout
  14. The problem I have with LFS is that there is hardly any (if not any) third party mods. Although it is a great sim racing game..i does get boring after a while.
  15. Hmm..22" monitors were a choice for me when I went to looking for my PC I ended up getting a ASUS VW222U. It's max res is only 1680x1050 (thus making a 16:10 screen layout) but the colours are excellent. You get a little bit of light leakage at the top and bottom of the screen...it's only seen in black screens. The BenQ screen is very nice - onboard HDMI port full 1080p res - As I mentioned earlier, I got this for my friends PC, the only thing I have to do is adjust the settings to make it full screen at 1080p (currently there is a big black border around) - Peter how did you get it at full screen (i didn't have any time to adjust the settings)
  16. I got my mates PC built over the weekend (yes I spent Valentine's Day building the PC) here is what I got Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 (2.33GHz/45nm/1333FSB/4MB L2) ASUS P5QL-E MB 2GB Corsair 8500C5D Twinx (DDR2 1066MHz) 500GB WD SATAII Powercolor 1GB HD4670 Logitech Cordless Desktop 1500 Rechargeable Keyboard + Mouse Pioneer DVR-216D SATA DVD-RW Drive LG GCG-H20L Super Multi Drive (Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Combo Drive) 22” BenQ E2200HD LCD Coolermaster Elite 333 Case Coolermaster Extreme 600W PSU All up was $1660 (inc. Logitech X530 speakers, Epsom TX200 Printer and HDMI Cable)...Machine is running very nice and slightly overclocked (2.8GHz)...The Blu-Ray Drive is nice and the picture quality from the BenQ screen in 1080p is crisp. I just gotta go back and change some of the screen settings at it was 3am and had work. The one thing that was very surpising is that the video card has no aux power connecters...which reminds me of AGP card days
  17. I was reading that looters are around the fire areas stealing stuff...as if these people don't need any more heartache....just plain old heartless
  18. They (Capcom) were saying at the time that they don't want to put new characters out via DLC as it will upset the balance and give people an unfair advantage (some people may not be able to download the new characters and capcom wants everybody to have them) But in terms of other DLC content for SF 4...who knows I'm playing Burnout Paradise: The Ulitmate Box on PC - very nice and fast
  19. Well since I don't own a skyline...I can only go what my friends have said (since they have skylines) Why did have you have to spend all that money on the car for? The ride is too hard It's too fast Everybody thinks your muzza and wants to race at every traffic light What did you have to this or that for blah blah blah But I think the best comment was my friends girlfriend said to him "you've spend 13k on mods on your car and all you got was 303kw at the wheels, that's crap" my friends response - he pulled over and basically said "get the f**k out" and left her in a cloud of tyre smoke...lol
  20. Well at this stage my friend hasn't gotten back to me on what he wants to do or spend?? I have made some changes to the custom setup such as cutting back on the speakers and improving on others (from a Q8200 to a Q9550, from a Foxconn case to a Coolermaster Centurion V case)..it's just a wait and see well i can always give him this setup: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 (3.00GHz/45nm/1333FSB/12MB L2) ASUS P5Q3 Deluxe/WiFi @n Systemboard Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600C9DHX 4x WD VelociRaptor 300GB SATA2 Drives 2x Sapphire 1GB HD4870 Pioneer DVR-216D SATA DVD-RW Drive LG GGW-H20L Super Multi Drive (CD/DVD Reader & Burner. Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Reader/Burner) Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution Keyboard + Mouse 24” ASUS VW246H Monitor Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro Coolermaster HAF932 Case Coolermaster RealPower Modular 1000w PSU Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Speakers But with a price tag of about 6.5k - I don't think he'll go for it
  21. The only reason I go for ASUS motherboards is that I had gigabyte boards before and built for mates and about 80% of them have failed within 2 years. My last 2 PC's had ASUS boards and never failed me I'm going to go for 2 500GB drives for my friends setup...for what he needs - 2 500gbs are sufficient
  22. Welcome to the family. Looks very nice in the pics - is it the standard interior or the prime edition interior (leather seats and "woodgrain") could help noticing the Datsun in the garage
  23. Welcome to the Stagea family Aaron - another Stagea in Melbourne. I think I have to agree with most of the guys here that it's difficult to find aftermarket body kits and other little stuff...IMO it would because Stagea's are that well known here in Australia (despite us owning one) and its eaiser for aftermaket bits for a skyline to be here as every man, woman and child and their dog has one...sounds like i'm ranting sorry guys. I'm down for a stagea cruise. I would love to meet up with other Stagea owners (and to answer my own question on how may M35 owners are there in Melbourne) From the picture Aaron, it will come up very nice - is that a dayz front bar?? Black Stageas look very nice (along with pearl white and bayside blue ones IMO)...I remember I kept looking at the black Stagea at last years Auto Salon (other than it was a Stagea, it also had a SAU sticker)
  24. All the prices are just parts - I'll build the machine for him
  25. IMHO, I think PC building can be like a modifed skyline where the budget can go out the window...if that was the case then you would have a PC like PC Powerplay's The Beast...Really quick, really beautiful...but did you have to get two 30" LCD Screens and the Optimus Maximus keyboard?? I'll show my firend what his options are (one machine is $1500 another is $1600 - different CPU is the difference and then my custom build) and see what the budget is...I've asked him already for a budget and didn't give me a straight answer so I told him that if he didn't give me a solid budget to work with then i'll quote him for 4-5k machine...hehehe
