I can't wait til GT5 comes out - apparently it's Christmas '09 or a mid 2010 for release...If Sony are smart the would push for a chirstmas release to maximise sales I liked Forza 2 mainly due to the amount of cars and brands and customisation (AE86 with a Supra Engine)...but I found the tracks to be repative and boring Forza 2 only had 12 tracks (not including all the variations - which would make it 47) The GT Series had very nice car selection and while it did have more tracks (40 odd at GT4) and variety of races...although some of the tracks are really boring...people have their favorite tracks that they can race lap after lap with any bordom GRID on PC is very very good....it runs really really smooth and IMO better then its console counterparts. but I would say that 95% of the time the PC version would be better than its console counterpart mainly due to the technology that the PC has (I say 95% because there are some games on PC that are really really crap to play that are also on consoles)

I should have gone window shopping in the forum first...silly me budget - he hasn't give me an exact price (I hate when people don't give me one)...I'm guessing he wants a machine for the internet, and with a bit of gaming

Nope, it wasn't in my car - it was in my mums car - left a bottle of water in there....came out about after work and no more water - lid was on and there was no wet patch on the seat...weird huh

When you left a cold bottle of water in the car and come out in the afternoon only to see an empty bottle

Let's hope they said sorry?

The biggest thing with Forumla D (American D1) is that some teams are full factory (like Team Mopar for example) or factory backed (Rhys Millen Racing) and they have massive sponsorships not only for the cars but for the entire championship (Air Force, Castrol, Tomei, Tyre manufacters etc.)..and they have a round of D1GP out in the states. That's where IMHO Drift Australia fell down as they had Toyo Tyres has their main sponsor but I don't beleive they had anyone else hence why they have gone to a 1 race championship this year. Yes I know that DA is in its infancy and finding sponsors is difficult but hopefully they can a major sponsor but also alot of small sponsors Foxtel need to do a deal with SPEED Channel in the US to get their channel out here. Fox Sports show like the american AMA Superbike and motocross series...but they do the Formula D championship (which is on Fuel TV I know but they are behind a bit) and they have alot of european racing. It would be really great to have a dedicated 24hr Racing channel

I'd say FMIC and ECU...you would definitely notice power gains and fuel savings and with suspension...they will always be there but given the current exchange rate...it's murder to get a set from Japan I've gotta save up the pennies for a Nistune ECU board so then i can finally install my turbo (HKS GT2535) and get the ECU done and tune it up

the JJR stealth series intercooler is a wise choice...I don't beleive there is any tight bends (the only bend I can see is from the cooler itself (thus making it a turnflow) and shouldn't be any lag. but as jake said if you do get a pod filter, you just be defected as you can only have one intake mod BUT if you want to be sneaky about it get a cold airbox assembly like the they on Just Jap have for sale so then you have a pod but it's also sealed so all you're getting is cool air running into it
-
Well at least it's nice you've got your car back! I ahve to agree with mitchy...i doubt the intercooler is holding it up (i'm no great expert)

Gday Again, Still Chasing Issues With My Wgnc34
BigDirtyJase replied to lilcrash's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
that was exactly the same issue I have with my stealth cooler that the bolt holes don't match up (I got the top bolt hole to match but the bottom ones are slightly off)...I've just gotta make some time to make up a piece of steel that bolts to the two bottom mounts and then use one of the remaining L brackets I have to bolt it up to the middle (the center vertical bar where the horn and top mount of the cooler is)...and also fix my miss (new plugs) and investigate what sounds like an almighty air leak -
People don't like Louis Hamilton because he's brash and arrogant..but he's young and will mature as he gets older (although I can remember a couple of former world champions who were arrogant when they started their F1 Career).... the jury is still out on the 2009 cars...just got to get use to them. With no more Honda, Super Aguri and potentially Toyota in 2010...Forumla 1 is going to be a small place... According to reports the Mexican who is reported to buy the Honda F1 team has denied he's interested in buying the team and also Ross Brawn has debunked it as well....in another interview that Ross Brawn did, he said that he was in talks with Ferrari for engine supply. Ferrari confirm that they can supply engines to whoever buys the Honda F1 team...they just have to ask Also rumor has that Button may go to Torro Rosso but I also read that Bernie Ecclestone thinks that Jenson Button should sit out the 2009 season and wait for a seat in one of the top teams than race for an uncompetitive team....gee's sometimes Bernie should shut up

firstly urgh4...I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing your around P-Plater age. With that being said and assumed, you should not buy and own a R34 GT-R for the following reasons (IMO) 1. First you not allowed to drive it whilst on your P's. Putting up P plates on a GT-R, coppers will have a field day with you...and you are on new P plate rules. it's 3 demerit points and a maximum of $1100 fine. 2. You'll pay a hefty sum of money for insurance (let's say your 18 - it would cost 3.5k - 4k to get full comp insurance for a 18-21 year old...you would be a fool get to get thrid party)..in compaision i'm 27 and it would cost me 1.5k for full comp. 3. Service and running costs are higher than any normal car. 4. Driving a A4 1.8t for a couple of hours two years ago doesn't compare to a GT-R. As what most people have said here...although a GT-R is a awesome car to own and drive....it's not really recommended as a first car. It's very hard now with the new P plate rules as there is many cars you can't drive. Still with something reliable and fairly cheap, get some experience on the road and then once you are off your P's then get the GT-R

may i ask how...other than mapping the handbrake to the gear shifter

That's A Nice Looking Volvo Mate.......
BigDirtyJase replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
yeah I get that as well...a girl at my work calls my car a herse -
i'm looking at the point of what changes could you make to make it more it's own car not just a GT-R Wagon...make it more Stagea so it's own car. One thing I can see...I don't know about the tailgate window...it's fairly small...and keeping the GT-R rear end just doesn't suit a wagon but yeah the photoshop job is pretty good
-
That's the funnist...Microsoft killed and buried the Xbox 1 like a bad habit but devlopers keep producing games for the PS2 and yet they still sell (not like they use to) but just goes to show how good a machine is that people are still buying games for it even though it's outdated technology and it's glory days are well past them

oh boy, I which I did have a camera. nobody had their phone and my camera was flat...it would have been my new computer wallpaper if i took the photo -
I would have to agree with you Daniel...Richard Burns Rally is a great rally game...very realistic...(if only there was more mods for it). Game was very underated due to the sheer difficulty (which reminds me I should reinstall it for a blast down memory lane) It's just a shame that the Logitech MOMO Racing wheel or the G25 have a handbrake
-
hey guys I was looking around the net and stumbled on this photoshopped pic While yes I know it's a photoshopped pic of the R35 GTR...Could you imagine a Stagea with R35 GTR Running gears looking like an R35 or make some changes (as in remove the stovetop tail lights)? Although calling it a Stagea 380RS doesn't have a nice ring to it One can only dream

the Taxi one is very unquie although we call my mates skyline a taxi because it's in yellow. My car is partially debaged (no stagea badge on the back and no stagea logos on the side windows...so all I have is the nissan badge and the RS-FOUR sticker badge at the back and the Stagea logo on the grill) I've had two volvo momements (i would say three as my brothers and some of my mates will tell me its a volvo as a running joke) 1st volvo moment was I was at shopping centre near my place...had alot of school kids look at my car and saying must be an old man that owns these crappy volvo's (as if an old man is going to have a stereo, boost controller and gauges installed) until I came out and unlocked the doors. one of them asked me "why did you buy a crappy volvo for" my response "did you look at the badge at the back mate". The kiddes looked at the back and gone "oh...ok" proceed to start the car and said "does a volvo sound like this" - one of smarter kiddes (who knows what they are) goes "nah sounds like a skyline"...all the other kiddes are going wow. 2nd volvo moment i was parking in QV underground car park with mates as we going for some chinese food. Just happen to park next to an Volvo 850C...when i jumped out on my right was a Volvo V70 and next to him was a M35 Stagea. After I we finished eating and ready to leave...I've seen the owner of the 850C checking my car out and said to me "did you spend alot of cash to modify your Volvo?" I chuckled and told him it's a Nissan and was surprised...as i was chatting to him the owner of the M35 came and look and was surprised that and S2 and a M35 Stagea are parked next to two Volvos the people mistake them for. -
I'll find it very hard that Sony will pull the pin on the Playstation team. maybe downsize it. well from what I read the production cost of the PS3 has come down quite alot since launch day from $800 odd to $400 odd mainly due to the chip set going down to 65nm process (upgrade from the 90nm process) and lower chip manufacting cost and they (sony) beleive that break even point will be this year. Sony really needs to do a small price drop but given the current finacial climate that may not happen anytime soon. Wouldn't it put a smile on Microsoft face that they can beat Sony...but i don't beleive it will happen

For me, PC Racing games always gave that extra sense of realism Gran Turismo did not have car damage mainly due to pressure from car companies not wanting to show their cars deform (yes I know Forza has damage but it's not super realistic), Polyphony want to try do it in GT5 we'll wait and see. Damage wise Race Driver GRID has it as if you slam the walll at 200 you are done (pending you don't use the flashback feature) My Fav racing games (in no particular order) 1. Grand Prix Legends - so realistic (wild cars, no aero, h-gate gear boxes, raidal tyres that would last for forever, til this day I still can't finish a race (a great challenge is to complete a flying lap of the Nurburgring or Spa-Francorchamps in any of the 1967 GP cars)..It is still rated at one of the most realistic and most difficult games ever 2. rFactor - the amount of mods and extras is just awsome - iamhe77 - I have tried racing 2008 F1 Car on the LeMans Bugatti track and you think its nice and easy untill you need to brake at the end of the Mulsanne Straight into the Mulsanne Corner now that's scary (imagine full throttle going 375-380k/m on a 5km straight then braking hard to take a corner at 120 k/m 3. Live For Speed 4. Gran Turismo 4 & 5 (when it comes) - For the console generation - although it's a "simulator" and for some people the closet they will ever get to driving say an Aston Martin DB9 or R34 GT-R Nur, it's still good. I'm still to this day having head to head battles with couple of friends of mine on GT4 (my friend in his full kitted R32 GTS-T vs me in a fully kitted Stagea 260RS around Trial Mountain) 5. Forza 2 - High on customisation options (engine swaps are always fun) - does get boring at times due to lack of tracks 6. NASCAR Racing 2003 Season - The last ever to be may be Payprus/Sierra has the GPL Physics and gaming engine. really fun 7. GTR 2/GTR Evolution - High on mods and really good to play
-
nice, very nice. I like the black and white photo wish I had a 260RS (one can only dream)
