  1. hmmm rumours were rife on the day, i was told nitrous was in use too... glad to hear it wasnt.
  2. lol, EMU's are tedious fullstop, i spend alot of time fixing up screwed EMU tunes... you should be able just to input the injector size correction and fine tune the latency from there.
  3. Factory sensors with fully programmable background noise, works real well did 3 hours solid on it (testing etc) and it works better than just about anything ive used.
  4. interesting, what PFC i can generally get equivanlent results ie owner cant pick diff.
  5. Crown is getting ready for soda blast... no striping down other than lights and bumpers.... sweet.

  7. yup but the G1 (not ss1 sorry) made 20 psi @ 3000rpm something but made negligible more power and torque down there compare to the new turbo on less boost... no point having response if the power and torque cant really be felt, after driving both i would take the latest incarnation over the preceding turbos it fells MUCH stronger rowing through the gears and will take a thrashing without the inherent heat issues caused by too much exhaust pressure which is prevalent on the smaller versions. If you got some one to drive both who was after 250rwkw or 260rwkw i can guarantee everyone would choose the later based on its drive-ability.
  8. yeah this second turbo is great i was not a fan of the ss1 as it was too responsive and rolled off way to much, this has the perfect balance and is doing it with easy, no trickery in the housing re boost control etc... exhaust manifold pressure was nice and low.... THIS WOULD BE MY CHOICE as a bolt on for rb25... it literally is making 260 as easy as pie.... would be a nice 22psi turbo for E85 on a stocker 300+ with killer response.

  10. depends on the haltech, the turbo 350z i just finished had fully functional closed loop knock control.... better than PFC or a factory remap.

I have a few spare female GTR ecu connectors you could have $20 + postage or pickup just wire it into the autronic and plug it in.... its how i do all my wire ins..... allows the cars loom to remain intact so it can be returned to std in minutes. Dont want this to look like im hocking parts, just a suggestion. Keep the SMC its a great ecu, different but great.
  18. run in is simple, load it up, let it cool load it up, let it cool then tune flat out..... done it that way for years no failures... very often the farthest it drives is from engine hoist to dyno.

  23. are you making over 400rwk? factory fuel rail is pretty darn good. That said (as we find the limit of side feed injectors quickly on ethanol) the new company i develop for has a rail program i hope to implement with the short style bosch ID injectors in about 2months to fit r33 and S14 S15..
