  1. Fark me you are a ricer monkey. This is all about track work baby. weight saving and more rubber under the front is where its at. I also pulled all the extra chasis braces from the gtr donor car and am fitting them to the gtst as well.

  3. For those contemplating the idea it can be as simple as unbolting the gtst front and bolting on the gtr parts. After speaking to a few guys i thought i would be in for more of a chore than it turned out to be. From what I can see the secret lies in model parity. My gtst is a series 1 and so was the donor gtr. All I need to complete the task now is a gtr front bar. Parts required. Bonnet Bonnet hinges Guards Guard risers reo front bar headlights. (optional) Bonnet latch and upright. Sideskirts are a squeeze but can be made fit without too much drama. For all intnets and purposes the only difference between GTST and GTR headlights (providing they are both series 1) is a spacer on the mounting bolts protruding from the back of the headlight. Order of assembly. Fit the guard risers first. Dont tighten them down. Fit the guards. (again just nip them for adjustment later) Fit the new upright and bonnet latch assembly. The difference is about 25 mil in height to accomodate the extra lift created by the guard risers Fit the bonnet. Adjust all panels so they mate together. (guards, bonnet) Tighten up all panel bolts. Reattatch sideskirts. fit front reo. Fit headlights. Fit front bar. Doneski! Looks a million bucks too. I was a bit worried that the phat fron may look out of place but my rear guards have been Lipped and pulled about 15 mil so it actually looks quite neat. This conversion was from a series 1 to a series 1. I Also helped a mate fit series 3 gtr headlights to his series 1 gtst and it was a butcher shop to get them to fit. If you match series to series It will take away a lot of the pain. Will post some pics tomoz.

  8. The difference between the gtst and the gtr should give you a clue as to what design of wheel would look better. Because the gtst does not have the "phatness" of the gtr, Wheels with big dish go a long way to enhancing the appeal of the gtst from a looks perspective. The gtr can get away with far less dish by virtue of its already phat look. Wheels like meisters and starcorp impulse transform the skinny arsed gtst in to a car with way more street presence.
  9. I did chortle.
  10. Waddabout them Knights aye paul.
  11. To say a 33 isnt much newer can be misleading. They can be as little as a year or 2 newer or up to 7/8 years newer and that is a friggin lot. How anyone can say the 32 has a better interior than the 33 is beyond me. The 32 looks very dated from the interior perspective. You can mod the hell out of the 32 and make it bomb proof but that wont fix the age and condition of the rest of the car. Nuts and bolts rusted on is but one of the issues I have seen in the few 32's I,ve had anything to do with along with all the other bits that time and thrashing take their toll on like bent seams and crushed chassis rails etc. Finding one that hasnt had a hammerring is no easy task and getting harder as the price drops and allows them to fall in to the hands of those with enough folding to buy one but not enough to maintain it to the standard that a car of this calibre deserves. Performance wise the 33 does have improvements over the 32. I just pulled all the extra chassis braces from a 33 gtr to fit to my gtst, the 32 has none of this. They are only little things on their own but collectively add up to a better performing car all round. Looks are a personal thing. You like the 32 shape then good for you, Likewise the 33 or 34. My preference is the timeless classic coupe shape of the 33. The 32 is unique in the looks department but wont age as well IMO as the 33.
  12. As a skyline owner I make it my business to find said "beautiful section of twisty road" even if I am just popping down to the corner for milk. Falcadore owners go out of their way to avoid those embarrrassing "beautiful sections of twisty road"
