  1. what sorta condition is the LSD in?
  2. okay, another question: is it still lean higher in the revs?
  3. honestly mate, from the way you've described that (running lean, idling badly etc) it sounds like you have an air leak somewhere... you've checked all your intercooler clamps etc? checked that a vacuum line hasn't been left off by mistake or something?
  4. as for if your standard pump/injectors would be adequate, it depends what sort of condition they are in... the pumps are getting to that stage in their life where they are going to start dying... also, have you checked your coilpacks?
  5. sounds interesting! i'll say i'm interested, however, i won't put my name down just yet to say i'm coming or not... depends what i'm working at that point in time.
  6. Col - check out these couple of different sites i found just then about front facing plenums: http://www.skylinesdownunder.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=50962 R.I.P.S Website: http://www.ripsltd.co.nz/performance/ Plazmaman Website: http://www.plazmaman.com.au/
  7. did you do any back-to-back testing? i.e. a run before the manifold was installed, and then again afterwards? would be interesting to see what (if any) difference it makes... also, where do i find information on this R.I.P.S. manifold i keep hearing about both here and on SDU? is it worth buying (i.e. are there any power gains) or is it more just the convenience of having the throttle body at the front of the manifold? reason i ask is there's been results that show that with some manifolds, you will actually go backwards in power/response/flow...
  8. Hrm, just finished it in about 8 hours of playing... wasn't really that impressed to be honest... i mean, it had some cool features and gameplay etc... the graphics were a fairly big let-down though, and it was VERY system-hungry.... (for little returns) anyone else played it? what'd u think? Edit: if you get the bonus edition, watch the little clips that are also on the CD... one of them is pretty freaky (shows the shrinks interviewing Alma) and the other one had me in stitches for about 20 minutes! LOL
  9. don't know... never tried to be honest
  10. agreed, just use some cheap paint... make sure you spray it in very very fine coats, so that it doesn't clog between the fins, and still allows airflow through and isn't too thick
  11. parked next to a Silver '33 GTR at Chermside Shopping Centre just before
  12. there was a thread about this very scenario the other day on another forum... PerformanceForums i believe... have a look around there in the 'general' section i think it was. might have to go back around 5 or 6 pages tho?
  13. spotted yesterday about 4pm on Coronation Drive - Fanta Orange R33 with black bonnet, with blonde chick driving... waved at her but was snobbed That's okay... you can make it up to me by taking me out for a drink. also spotted around 12:30 last night on gympie road at intersection of Rode road, a black R32 GTS-t, who i gave a beep to
  14. can you buy 1-way LSD's? (i.e. no locking on decel)? reason i ask, is i am looking to use my car for track days, and my stock diff is pretty rooted (single wheels constantly) reason i asked about the single way, is having the diff locking slightly on decel (i.e. 1.5 way diff) would push you wider in a corner, than say a diff that just locks under acceleration.... would it not? does this sound right to anyone else, or would a 1.5 way be better for the track? if so, please explain why
  15. motul 300v chrono is the stuff you're after, from what i've read on the motul site
  16. *shrug* you can believe whatever you want mate, but personally, i'm with SK on this one... its sheer physics... and basic (i.e. year 9 level) physics at that.
  17. people get sexual favours for winning races??!?!?! i'm getting jibbed! note: i do not condone street racing in any way shape or form
  18. wow, that looks really good! might have to make something like that for my '32
  19. hrm, i would have loved to come to this, but am working
  20. waiting to see what finished product looks like!
  21. Thanks for that.. sorry to be a pain with all the questions, but does the sandwich plate for the relocator have any bungs in it for sensors (i.e. oil temp and oil pressure sensors)? i'm just trying to cover all the little things that people seem to want to know about, judging by previous threads
  22. that'd be GTRGeoff, but as Matt said, he's stopped making them for a while
  23. a) i don't usually get targetted/defected as i don't drive like a f**ken knob and draw attention to myself, or whinge about the cops defecting me b) because it's soooooooooo dangerous
  24. matt, PM me... i can put you onto the guy that made mine if you want? i had a custom one made for me by the place i use for my suspension... it cost a little bit more than the $180 delivered ones that you see around... however, that is for a reason... i had one of those $180 delivered ones... it snapped within about 3 months of it being installed (brand new) i have it sitting here still, can get pictures of it if you want to see the build quality of them... they are absolute pieces of crap! i cannot see how they are legally allowed to sell such a low quality component, especially for something as important as a steering rack replacement?!?!
