  1. ok im pretty sure it has to be the blitz atmo bov which is causing the boost drop. cause when i ran it at calder on high boost (16.5psi) boost went down to 4 psi and i ran a 14.3 @93 mph turned it down to 14.5-15 psi and i ran a 13.30 @112mph, with average gear changes
  2. went to calder tonight and had problems with the boost falling off resulting in a 14.3 @ 93 mph. 2nd run i turned the boost down to 14.5 psi down from 16.5 and ran a 13.3 @ 112mph, 60ft was 2.31. and my gear changes were slower than normal. need to get the car fixed so i can turn the boost back up and give it another shot
  3. ive taken the fmic out completely and inspected the piping and tanks. they are perfect

  5. mines not doing what urs is doing though. mine will only drop boost at high rpm when the cars real hot. its holds it for a while after it reaches fullboost then just falls off
  6. i am running a blitz atmo bov also.
  7. ive done everything and soon as the car gets hot after a couple of runs its still doing it. i done rev210's intake pipe mod also, so i dont know what to do. only thing i can think of is not enough preload on the actuator. its set to half a hole at the moment. another theory. if i have faulty plugs and when the car gets real hot would it cause less combustion thus the major boost drop?
  8. im happy with the current turbo. its not at its maximum potential the turbo is comfy where it is now. no point in overboosting it. thus the head n cam combo
  9. i am going to do valve springs too i think. idealy i wouldnt like to take the head out. just want something to slot in. but if i have to do it properly il do it the other way
  10. hey guys after opinions on what cam specs i should run in my r33 gtst, im after something thats not a dead giveaway at idle. so lumpy isnt my thing. soon as i find out what specs im after i will buy the cams and give them to vic ( EAS) to put in. he done an awesome tune on my current setup which saw 252 rwk on 11.7/1 a/f ratio , now its time for a whole new league just after some opinions on what to use. After all i need someone who's good at what they do cause its time to open the engine up.
  11. today i further inspected the problem and still couldnt find the prob. so far i have done a boost leak test. changed boost controllers took off front bar inspected cooler and silicon piping changed all boost line hoses from actuator. only thing i can think of is maybe the intake pipe is sucking closed. cause it only does it when u hit the throttle hard on down gear, or at top end as i change hard into 4th. and sometimes 3rd

  15. off the lights the gtst dosent stand a chance though ^^^ i dont wheelspin on a rolling run but u cant automatically assume the gtst isnt as good on the run. just dont understand... i have 630nm torque at the fly, and aren't the gtst's much lighter than a 33 gtr?

  17. im having the same problem. done a pressure test and it was perfect. mine does it in 3rd sometimes and 4th, my boost drops down to 5 psi tho
  18. this is an intresting question. i curently have 250rwk in my 33 gtst and i think would do quite well against a gtr with same power on a rolling run. off the lights the gtst dosent stand a chance though
  19. ok looks like clear skys this friday. dont know whether to run full slicks or street tyres. will the exedy clutches hold up with hard launches on slicks? am i prone to break something with slicks cause ive never raced with them before? thoughts
  20. ok fixed the hose problem but it still drops off boost sometimes. it only does it when its been thrashed after about 6 times or so. spoke to my tuner and he thinks it could be my hdi boost controller solenoid getting way too hot. or an actuator issue? thoughts and experiences if anyones had a ebc prob or actuator prob?

  22. just get new gaskets, plenum, manifold ect. run whatever boost u like. as long as she dosent knock or ping ull b right
  23. found it. split hose/ breather on the intake pipe. the one that crosses over the cam cover. done a boost leak test
  24. car has been running perfect for 2 weeks with nothing changed up until now
