Yep, if you got the parts then you didn't have to pay customs tax. Customs look at the value on the box, what ever that value may be, doesn't mean the item is worth that......

Completely agreed. For the extra $100 or so dollars ($510 from Slide or nengun), splitfires have been tried by thousands and you know they can make the power and last. The JJR ones may be just as good or even better, however until they have been tested, i know what i would go for.

Pretty much the speed signal from the gearbox goes to the dash, then it goes from the dash to the ECU (wire #53) then goes to the hicas computer in your boot. So if your dash reads 0kmh, the problem is obviously lying between the gearbox and the dash. You said the speedo works after giving the car heaps, so maybe there is a lose wire behind the dash and when u hit a corner hard the wire is getting connected back up or something and working again. Anyway id be looking at the speed signal from the gearbox to the dash. Hope that helps mate.

Told ya Pretty much the reason it does this is because if it has been cut and it accidently earthed out or touched another wire or something it would stopped getting a signal. When u disconnect the battery it resets the ECU and the wire gets the signal again Same thing happened to me while wiring in a SAFC, accidently cut through the speed signal wire and it stopped the speed signal and because HICAS needs a speed signal to operate it malfunctions aswell. Ahhh the joys of wiring....

Ok hope this solves it for ya, i had a similar problem. If you still have the speed signal wire connected to the Power FC (wire #53) then it should work for you, just disconnect the battery and connect it back up again after a few mins (you can open a door or pump the brakes a few times to get rid of any power still going through the car). This should do a full reset and hopefully your Power FC should display speed again. Does your HICAS light come on after a few mins of driving?

Im having a similar problem at the moment mate. My car has a HKS GT-RS on it and the hks actuator is set on its stock boost which is ment to be around 12-14psi. Mine hit 22psi and was still climbing on the dyno today at 5500rpm, then the guys backed off. So i think my actuator must be hitting the split dump pipe aswell. However i thought it might creep up a little bit, but to 22+ psi?!?!?!?! Mine isn't a just jap dump, but is very similar. Let me know how you go, ill have to play around with my actuator this week sometime and check the dump pipe.

I know for the supras theres a mob that makes glass lenses for them. You can unseal the standard ones with a heat gun or oven or something, then replace the lens with a glass one and never worry about fading. Any one made like a replacement glass lens for the skyline head lights instead of plastic??

You can buy seat covers made for side airbags and they are precisely that, a hole cut in the side of the seat cover to allow the air bag to be deployed.

Hmm very interesting, an alternative to splitfires. I noticed that its series 1 R33 only, wont be any available for the series 2?

So it definetely works on the series II?? No problem with the different ignitor between series I and series II??
