  1. I have driven them all other than the S14. Assuming we are talking about handling on a basic street setup not a full blown track car. From them I think the best overall handling from a street perspective is the S15 aswell. While possibly the S13 might actually handle better on a track from being a bit lighter, I find that the S15 feels more solid/less clunky/smoother and gives a better overall feal which is important on a stret driven car. The steering also seems to feel a bit quicker than in the Skylines (not sure, might not be but feels like it). However the best handling overall Nissan I have driven is a 370Z. Now just gotta get some one to give me the keys to a R35 EDIT: Also since it is kind of part of the family and should be mentioned. The 300ZX was the worst handling Nissan import I have driven. The steering is horrible in it and requires huge amounts of lock to turn.
  2. Wow awesome build thread man! Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
  3. One quick thing I will always mention in threads like this as inexperience can somtimes cloud the truth. Are you sure the car is actually pinging and you are not simply mistaking it with missfiring? Might not be the case and you actually do know what a missfire and detonation sound like. However many times I have come across people that hear a missfire and call it detonation.
  4. Definetely agree on the gold rims being dirty on a white car makes the whole car look dirty point lol. Sometimes I just quickly hose off my wheels prior to going somewhere
  5. Yeah aftermarket seats really change the look of the car. I absolutely hated the look of the stock grandpa spec GTST seats however took me 4 years to change them lol.
  6. Hahaha it's ok Marc I thought the same thing when I looked at the pics and then realised he was talking about the HICAS light.
  7. I'm not even asking about the group buy any more, I just want one for myself and wanted some payment details lol but they won't reply.
  8. My god that thing has turned out amazing Ben. You should be extrememly proud.
  9. Legally, not that I'm aware.
  10. GROUP BUY CANCELLED Sorry guys. After a lot of thought I have decided to cancel this group buy. Reason being, I am over doing them due to suppliers screwing us around. The Hel oil cooler group buy is the last straw and I've had enough. Also given to the fact that there is a probability of these gear knobs not fitting properly if they put the wrong size hole into them I just don't want to take the risk and screw every one around. Once again sorry but I hope people can understand after reading through the Hel oil cooler group buy and the V Spec II pedal group buy.
  11. You can use the standard seatbelt.
  12. Ok i'll let them know to send yours aswell.
  13. Hasn't replied to me since my last email. Absolutely hopeless.
  14. Will either meet you there Rob or meet up a bit later. Depends on what time I head out.
  15. Yep it blows my mind aswell. Anyway I am still waiting to hear back from Speedflow to see what they say and also to hear back from Hel to see what would be the best way to go about this whole thing if we get the fittings directly through Speedflow. Also finding out if the red/blue fittings are actually allready attached to the braided lines since in the photos of the kits, they are seperate. This would make it a bit easier since we wouldn't have to remove them.
  16. Thanks for that man. Appreciate it.
  17. As close as possible to look like the foglight lense I think is what every one would prefer.
  18. Yep the wiring would need to be conected once the gear knob is fitted. Simple bullet connections on the end of the wires would work to connect/disconnect it prior to fitting/removing the gear knob. You would just lift up that centre dash panel first.
  19. Good idea. Will hit them up with that one. Thanks for your patience guys. I've decided this is going to be the last group buy I do, just not worth these headaches anymore. Between this and the GTR pedal drama i've had enough.
  20. Yeah definetely not 230rwkw.
  21. You going to rock up this time
  22. PM replied Paul. I'll get them to send yours out (and any one else that doesn't care about the red/blue fittings). I'll email speedflow today about the fittings to see what the go is. Maybe they can send them all out to every one or something. http://www.speedflow.com.au/hoseends.html We need 2 x 101-08 and 2x 103-08 each in black.
  23. Got an email back last night after seeing what we could do to speed things up. The fittings they use are actually manufactured by Speedflow in Australia for them. I have the part numbers for the fittings. So maybe I should email Speedflow and see if we can buy the fittings ourselves or something and Hel will pick up the bill?
  24. I'm not going to lie, fittings are an absolute bitch to put onto braided lines. Let alone trying to remove old ones. Especially 4 of them. My black fittings that I have used throughout my engine bay were through VPW so yes we should be able to get them locally. It is just going to be such a pain in the ass to organise it properly and I don't want any one being out of pocket due to this f**k up. The first ever group buy I did with Hel was an absolute f**k around however since then I have done plenty of orders for brake and clutch lines and there have been no problems. So this is the first time since. Not saying it makes it right though, i'm still very annoyed about it. I thought about this a lot tonight and I guess here are the options I came up with (Feel free to suggest others). 1. Obviously a refund can be given to any one that would like one. That's a given but I will still mention it. 2. Wait until the black fittings come (Am about to email him to discuss if there is any possible way for them to speed things up. I mean 4-6 weeks is quite a bloody long time). 3. Send out the oil cooler kit with the red and blue fittings and see how much of a refund they can give to the person (or maybe a free brake line/clutch line kit? I dunno would have to ask). 4. Send out the oil cooler kit with the red and blue fittings and take it to a place for them to swap over the fittings to black ones and send the invoice back to Hel (obviously once again would have to check how much they are willing to pay)
