The guy writing the article forgot the guy playing the game wasn't driving ... but I guess that's not the point. What do you guys expect from the daily telegraph? Read proper papers you won't have to put up with as much today tonight/a current affair type "news" but hey lets face it most people are idiots and this stuff sells to the plebs.

someonestolecc replied to Ceffo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
As i said before ceffo that's some repugnant shit. I'm going to be hunting for a new exhaust too. Gonna ask my flatemate to borrow his kakimoto to see if it works ok .. if it does I'm off to JustJap. -
If they're pineapples (looks like about it for me) I got mine for $60 off some silvia forum... they're just rubber thingies.

Help Needed !!! A Cop Broke My Bov Cover
someonestolecc replied to R34NOS's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I would *think* it'd all come down to how much he reasonably suspected there was something illegal in the cover. I mean if you have drugs in the seat they'll rip apart the seat no prob we all know that but does it extend to defects I'm not sure. If the cover wasn't purely there to hide the BOV then I'd go complain - if anyone law or not broke stuff on my car i'd take it further - it's a man's car you don't mess with it no matter what On the other hand you're defectable so maybe you should just cop it sweet - remove the bov if you're worried. (they're a pleb in the uniform, you're the pleb without and all that... ) -
[Advice Please] Argh! Exhaust Droooooone...
someonestolecc replied to Oosh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hmm I have a sr20 with standard exi-mani, tomei style dump pipe, 3" to a crappy looking cat then 3" all the way to a xforce 3" with (guessing) 5" tip. Sounds ok but too loud. I've been told put in a centre muffler but with all you guys with RBs saying you don't have a centre muffler/resonator and have a good rear muffler and still have no drone/quiet I might try to steal my flatemate's kakimoto muffler frmo his r32 and try a little test. If it works ok then I'll ditch the xforce cannon for a kakimoto (if it sounds/looks ok) or maybe another j-brand cannon (keep the drift look). Thanks for the informative posts guys this is good for me cos it'll be cheaper than welding in a middle muffler if just changing my rear muffler will do the job! -
Is this type of thing only used in cars with the stock air boxes? Is it to funnel air between the bonnet lid and the grill to the air filter? If not what's it for?

Won't this be fun and interesting.
someonestolecc replied to Cubes's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I heard about that car a while ago... i like it looks sick. Imagine in 20-30yrs time the first electric GTR... FAT! Better yet a revival of the 60-70's shaped cars with electric engines!! I'd love to see my GT back on the road without having to pay for the petrol (sure no v8 growl but you can't have it all). ... well.. actually I'm dreaming that won't ever happen, I can see the men in black suits arriving now. :uzi: -
hehe. nice 180. welcome to sau.

What would you pay for a number plate??
someonestolecc replied to cowie165's topic in New South Wales
2LEB4U A tip to anyone who has the money OMG-WTF is not taken in NSW. I was thinking of getting it for the cefiro just for a laugh... till i saw you have to pay every year in NSW... geh but there are some stupid idiots who pay more for their plate than their car is worth and they think they're blingin.. 80-something debaged 318 with tempe tyres "sick" 18" chromes with "URLKN" or "BAMZD" or something stupid... it should be "URLAFN" cos those guys make me feel better whenever i see them... sigh i love it how theres always someone dumber than you out there -

Farking Possums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
someonestolecc replied to PIMP_DAT's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
by the sounds of it you guys need to zip tie your bars on if you're gonna be expecting possums at 80 clicks... mind you i'm not sure if a flying bar at 80 clicks is what you want either... -

someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Thanks mate - I hope you're now employed, not so bored but still got yer triple garage So far yeah with some help from peoples here and there and generally having problems fall out (in some cases quite literally) I think there are most of them. Off course I'm not listing the ones that aren't really problems at the moment like the exhaust knocking on the car when you're travelling and minor stuff like that but with any luck we'll have a nice clean reliable car in the near future! -

Yeah I thought it was a community thing too but obviously not. Nah it's a lemon... let's see whats gone wrong so far... air inlet pipe not screwed in steering rack boots broken cat not screwed in tight (exhaust doesn't fit right, it scratches/hits a bit of the underside of the car) clutch slave master secured with one bolt half screwed in (yes really it was hangin off the side of the gearbox) engine not secured (yes really it wasn't screwed in AT ALL) rb20 loom still all over the place (it caused a fire) intercooler welds have drips on the inside of the pipe of welding turbo oil return line not long enough and made out of bent improvised hot water pipe or some shit (it fell off when i was driving, almost caused a fire, and when the mechanic looked at it he said i should buy a lottery ticket cos he was suprised my turbo did not blow up with that pipe on it - it was hose, pipe, hose all in one) gearbox leaking (and syncros ****ed) engine leaking from multiple places somewhere (tba) 3/6 sump screws had broken heads (ie they just screwed the sump on, broke the heads, knew the screws were useless and not holding it in and just left it) rear brake pads were pure steel (burned holes into the rear rotors so large chunks of metal were actually missing) front pads non existant ("DO NOT change your pads they will last you for a long long time" the point was actually made when i didnt even ask..) RHS wheel bearing done up so tight it ****ed the hub (had to buy a new one, this wasn't old, the people who put it on just did it up waaay too tight..) LHS wheel well not watertight (after they shoved the loom in, this still leaks in the wet) multiple T connectors with a screw shoved into it as a "poor mans straight connector" injectors = ****ed (caused pinging, they've been resprayed a different colour too for some reason) intercooler piping joins frayed and getting rubbed through on the body air con condensor left in car with fan still on/attached when there is no functioning air con (ie they removed half of it and left pipes in the engine bay) exhaust leaking in multiple spots (they didnt use gaskets) multiple wires I've had to replace that have been about 1/10th of the current load requirements of that circuit not to mention the numerous other dangling tubes/cables/wires That's just what's happened to the car since I've owned it so really I'm the ****wit that bought it so it sucks to be me haha I'm dissapointed really more than anything but it just goes to show some people would sell their own grandmother if they could. As for the previous owner he reads these forums so far he hasn't said much since things started to go wrong. Most of the guys helping me have been especially ceffo and too_much and everyone else who has suggested things and given me advice/info. I mean I have to look at the positives ... I can say I was in a car going about 260kmh without the engine being bolted in.. can you say that? -
Would be cool if- rear was actualyl a bit wider (the rear skirt is too wide for the actual boot) the wheels filled teh guards (as was said) it had gtir drivetrain etc was AWD and fat turbos where it would have some cred Reality is off course this car is prolly slower than the stock honda cos it's got so much fibre on it

JDM s15 manifold ? Hmm what kw/flow are they good for? -
I got mine from UAS - it's a bit expensive but I'm going to cut it open and see how it went. Next I might try a nissan one and do the same.

Springs: How low is too low?
someonestolecc replied to LANFOH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Technically in NSW legally all parts of the car other than the wheel+tyres need to be atleast 100mm off the ground. As for everything go stupid - my muffler isn't attached properly so if I scrape it lightly = no worries. *wink* -

Well slap my ass and call me ****ty but I'm scared of pulling it all apart and having something go wrong. It's really about harm minimisation.
