Thank you Duncan for seeing the light. Hallelujah to those who see tokenism where it exists..... kinda like American democracy. oops did I say that? Seriously though things only get done when it suits the status quo.. I doubt there is a single body out in the world of this nature that does it's job free from interference and political dancing.. .... that is except for the ACCC when Professor Alan Fells was in charge... he wasn't afraid to :kick: the big guys. Now they have another puppet in his place.. :bs!: "The law is applied equally to all... just more equally to some than others.."

Hey I had a peice of carbon fibre coated fibreglass which I was going to use but that looks much nicer. Just out of interest how come it doesn't stay in securely? Do you mean the gauges won't fit or that the mounting thingy won't clip into anything? If it's just not clipping in I might just buy it and stick it to my own mount so it screws/secures into where the stereo sits... this way I won't have to play around angling my gauges it will already be angled for me (that's where the $20 is worth it). If it actually won't fit 52mm gauges cos they stick out or whatever then I'll stick with my full DIY jobbie.

What mods should i do?
someonestolecc replied to SKYZER 33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
hot.. HOT girlfriend in the passenger seat. extra ba-zillion kilowatts at street lights. ... (sorry I've always thought it was true and I've always wanted to say it). Also - have you thought about suspension mods? I know it's not an engine mod but it certainly is a performance mod (ie. go faster) -
*drool* i'm so jealous right now...kinda like :kick:

After deck installation no lights in the cabin?
someonestolecc replied to BlackR33GT-ST's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
I've installed countless stereos - and I don't consider myself any sort of installer but I've never blown anything up. How does this sort of stuff happen? Is it something I'm not thinking of or isit the most obvious stuff like shorting wires while they're being cut and stuff like that? -
Hello, I've forgotten my password (well, actually i typo'ed it once and the system locked me out cos I assume it counts all the times you've ever got it wrong). The link to retrieve your password doesn't seem to work - I input my email address it doesn't report an error but I never get a password emailed to me. I know the email address on my account is correct because I do get the email that tells me that someone has tried to login to my account and that it's locked out. I've emailed support@sau twice and PM'ed prank last week - i'm assuming something ain't working. Is there anything left for me to do instead of :alcoholic ?

my theory - house hasn't 'won' - it's always been there (i didn't know it was fighting). good trance stopped being made as it peaked it's genre. even the good stuff outta germany and the such "we've heard before". ... well not really but theres only so many things you can do and still be in the trance genre. progressive trance isn't. hard house = someones idea that nick skitz is sick dj Is it possible that we've moved on and simply our favourite genre can't invent itself over. I mean it's happened so .. right now it's happening for the next generation and before us it had already happened. They're left scratching their heads same as us who experienced something because if its re-invented it's inevitably different, if it's the same it's inevitably not as good (first time best time and all that). I dono if that makes sense.. but yeah... shrug try it on for size

Stuff I need- -Coinholder -Middle Vents -Passenger side A/c Vent surround -the driver side vent (the one where people usually stick a gauge into) -the driver side little air vent (it's slighty above the normal vent its about 3cm long, i think its there to point at the glass where you'd look at the driver-side mirror) Some guy tried to sell me that for $61 lol. I'm thinkin more like $20 -

someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Cars not registered in my name yet RS so it has not gone through engineering. The few probs too_much has outlined are nothing compared to everything else that's happened and I still have to fix. So no.. for the price it really wasn't worth it (ie. i should have imported my own). -

Fhrx Studio's Christmas charity BBQ...
someonestolecc replied to Fhrx's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Far out Marty - good to the customers and good to those who could never (mostly) afford your stuff - good on you mate. Is the date to be picked because you have to be in attendance? Sat 4th and 11th is personally my preference simply cos it's as away from xmas as possible and thereby (in theory) reducing the stress and rat-like activity associated with this holiday season. Good on ya again (ps don't give it to the salvos) -
Pod filters illegal or what?!?!
someonestolecc replied to JCMarshall_Law's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Dono bout QLD but an engineer told me he'd engineer my pod without a box. I said i thought i was under the impression if it ain't in a box it's a fire risk or something. He said as long as it's cotton it's ok in that regard (so no oiled K&Ns) but he said the cops use some bullshit ADR or EPA reg (can't remember which he said) about noise. Basically the defect is that the pod makes the induction loud. He said realistically it's mostly only applicable to rotory engines. But still I'll be getting my pod engineered, and if i wasn't i'd be getting a box so there is no chance of a defect because if a cop wants to they will. Again - not sure bout QLD. -
Oil Filter Review - Ryco, Valvoline etc
someonestolecc replied to Cubes's topic in General Maintenance
I used a ryco when cycling my oil.. Hopefully it stopped all the stuff. I was at UAS the other day so I picked up a JIC oil filter (j-brand) so we'll see how that goes - good idea about cutting it open I never thought of that (duhh). Will let ya guys know what it looks like (although I must admit my oil is a better colour than when the ryco was on it). -
