  1. I have 18x8 I believe. The front has spacers, max camber (whatever setting it is) and it's rolled. What happens if you use the hub roller thingies?
  2. Hmm plastic things.. Mine aren't there and I'd like to put something else in there (like fat tar) incase I blow a tyre (metal shredding my guards = not good).
  3. Well if advan's one is half price I'll pay the postage and get that. Mind you $10 postage = $30.. $40 for a nissan one.. HMM well. truth be told i will pay the lowest price for the good that works. if it doesn't work ill pay more till i get the cheapest one that will.. .. i just dont like overpaying.. and $40 for a freakin boot seems exxy. Guess I'll have to get it then..
  4. Thanks RiverSide - I hope so too when it's all there it'll be nice I'm sure. He said he never had it leak on him.
  5. If it's rubbing IN the car then get spacers- thats what i have on the front and the tyres are 215 on 8.5 rims i believe. http://www.garage-13.com/tyres.html
  6. I'll tell you right now thats a cut and paste job for random scams and probably automated anyway (ie its probably not even a person cutting and pasting but rather a script or program). Parts dont match up, the order of the emails that he/she/it is sending are scripted and generic as they dont even match what you have said (and have a few other tell tales). Anyway - ignore that shieeet and get back to business. IT IS FAKE FOR SURE.
  7. Too_much - yeah i'd like to re-use it but I don't wanna have everything apart then find out it ain't there or ain't in a condition to be put back on so I will buy one and think of it as an upgrade. If the old one is good that's cool I'll sell mine on or keep it spare - I'm sure someone will need it. VLS_BACK - Thanks - please let me know I will be ordering soon. meggala - S15?! which part is s15? the dump pipe ? PS. is there a way I can check what condition it's in before I start taking stuff off ? I'm assuming no-way.
  8. Nissan OEM part for t28 flange which I'm assuming will fit my t518z and aftermarket dump (as they should both be same as the original as they are bolt-ons). Nissan have said $41 new cos I've heard the aftermarket ones are crap. Can anyone beat $41 or suggest an aftermarket one that will be good? This is in preparation for fitting a new stainless exhaust manifold so I figure may as well change over a gasket (or put one on) while I'm there
  9. Gday, welcome to the cefiro ... thing.. heres a link for a thread on the second page- http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=49233
  10. I'm a bad saver. I always borrowed money. I'm currently servicing 4 debts and so yes I will dance for a dollar. I used to work for myself and could probably have paid everything off but I decided to get a 9-5 doin the 'career' thing. Now I'm ok but yeah it'd be nice to be debt free (lottery ticket here we come). lmao.
  11. OMG that's ****ed. Why don't you just follow the wire up going into the shifter and pull it out, then splice it yourself with another button? Non-factory? Yes, but about $207 cheaper.
  12. Actually yes, and yes that was already ****ed cos whoever put the loom in didn't have a clue - I put in a grommet and sealed it up with silicone, or so I thought I think I'm going to have to revisit that and see if it really is watertight (although I sprayed it with a hose and didn't get anything so I'm thinking that part is ok.) Thanks for the suggestion i'm really hoping that's what it is. Funnily enough it where the ECU loom goes in so the water conveniently goes in, down the loom and into the computer for some water n electrical mixing goodness.. Mmhmmhm!
  13. Ahh yeah - Do know what you mean. Thanks nark - will try that over the weekend. I just hope I don't have to end up taking the quarters off **** **** **** **** ****...
  14. In the end they are two different cars entirely. The SR is rough, urgent and angry. The RB25 is tactful, refined (dull in stock form?) but urgent and torquey. The build quality in both cars is great - the GTiR was a homologation car (as stated previously) and has cool things like the cool drink holder and the cool seat belt holders. On the other hand the liner will have a bigger frame and more weight so it's really a bigger car and importantly 2wd. They're really 2 different things. I've driven both (not mine) and I'd take the pocket rocket over a 33. But I don't particularly like 33's so that's just my opinion. I don't know about who racing what we've all seen crazy assed cars but when I'm driving my mate's GTiR that's totally stock (except beast suspension put in it) there's nothing yet pulled up that can't be beaten - closest thing so far (funnily enough) was a falcon of some sort xr6 most probably. Also in the hands of a capable driver rated 45km corners become takable at 150km - such is the power of the 4wd and (lack of) weight. Crazy little things they are.
  15. MRK25T - Is that to say he does tune turbos?
  16. I will check thanks for the reply Duncan. Only happens when driving in the wet though. It remains totally dry when it's not raining. It also starts leaking only when going at speed and it's not warm water (infact if I stick my hand up in the gap between the car and the front quarter panel at the passenger footwell I can feel the water trickling onto my hand). The radiator was full last time I looked - even thought I don't think this could be it I will check. I just don't want to give it to a mechanic because it takes them hours to figure this sorta stuff out and thats a few hundred $ I just don't have.
  17. Hmm, true - they would win. Here me out though - In theory (In theory) the broker who sells you the policy has to get it underwritten, and the underwriters have to sign it off. In that process everywhere the assumption is the information is correct - and your duty of disclosure is based on the notion of good faith - as such in "good faith" you've told them your car was a cefiro. You are NOT required to tell them things they are supposed to know in the normal course of their business, or things that lessen the risk to them. So you've told them it's a cefiro, they say it's classified as X. Theoretically there are no schedules in the policy to say that if they decide to classify it as X, and it isn't they won't cover it (good faith applies both ways because they have duties of disclosure also). But yes - I agree with you deveo I would have my money with you as we live in the realistic world and not the dream technical world. P'raps you guys with misc classifications could get a schedule added to your policies to be sure?
  18. Hellllllppp- Went for a boost in the rain today and my car started taking on water. I don't mean a little I mean it's the ****ing titanic. It seems to only come in when the car is going 60km-ish plus, so I can safely say it's not 'falling' in- rather going sideways somehow. If you take off your footwell left plastic panel, there is a sponge of sound dampner in the big hole in the panel (underneath where your flare would go). It's coming in from in there somewhere and I can't figure out where. I thought it was in the wheelarch but I'm not so sure anymore. Anyone who's been digging either behind their dash or inside their engine bay or stripped their car know of any holes or anything where the water could be coming in ? I'd appreciate it very much for suggestions because this is REALLY giving me the shits - no skidpan days and no wet driving.. i mean wtf! :chop:
  19. Wouldn't it be their call? they put it in the system as that knowing it's not the car but the closest fit..
  20. Nice. And yeah I nearly did pull the ****er out I didn't wanna be like the dude who stole your zippo. My cars seem to claim those things like a black hole - glad the cef hasn't got one yet.
  21. I'm using 5/40 8100. $60 at UAS $65 most other places. JustJap have it for $65 with a filter (although I'd rather buy a seperate filter). Also since using 8100 my exhaust has been punching out a helluva lotta black stuff - I'm assuming it's just crap in the exhaust rather than from the engine but yeah I've done about 300km on it so I'll be changing it again and getting a new cat (the old one is tiny). Again - I don't think it's the oil related but yeah, where I warm up my car there is a bike and the exhaust is about 10cm away from it and I noticed the other day it's been splattered hard with about 3-5mm of crap.. haha I think it's cos of some rain getting into the exhaust first then getting splattered out.. but it's pretty chunk.
  22. I tried to fit one and incase anyone ever searches this post or whatever they will see this particular one did NOT fit. It was from a rb20 and I was trying to fit to a s13 gearbox. It was very close but in the end the two plastic ... things that are visible when you remove the shifter and fit into the two recesses on the side of the shifter "ball" that stop them from swivelling around just aren't long enough to stop it from going around.
  23. I have a s13 gearbox but since they're mostly the same as rb20 gearbox I thought I'd ask you lads. I recently changed my oil but upon draining it went to my 'box-o-oils' and found I hadn't bought the 3 bottles of shockproof light as I thought I had and only had 2 bottles of shockproof heavy. I put it in and the gearbox feels better now and I intend to put another 400-500ml in (it wasn't quite up to the top plug-hole) shortly. My situation is the gearbox is recommend "AP1 GL-4" and as far as I can tell the lubricants/oils that come in that spec are rated at the same viscousity as the redline heavy shockproof stuff is 'equivalent' to. The question inevitably becomes - does anyone here run shockproof heavy in their gearbox and would it be bad? Should I be draining this and putting in mt-90 or something? Thanks.
  24. kursed - if it's just the button I'd be happy to have a look at it for ya - can't guarantee I can fix it but if it's just the spring or something worst come to worse we can bugger that nice stock looking car and put another button in haha But yeah it could be just the spring got tired - in which case it may be just a case of helping the spring go back in properly and/or resetting/replacing it. Just drop round on the weekend.
