Sydney Cef meetup/cruise
someonestolecc replied to too_much_boost's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Sweet about the date. I say morning is better too .. So I can go out at night. When I said beach run I meant FROM lane cove we go beach run. I think the roads are better than pacific highway plus more to drive past (ie. beaches and fish n chip shops etc) but pacific highway would be good too.. It's just *shrug* a shit road imo. -

****.. cc gets done again. It's cos i don't look or sound like a mechanic/sparky/**** knows. JustJap = $140 new $90 old Random wreckers = $200 for slave+master wrecked items UAS = $45 slave Nissan = $126 master Both new. Sounded good to me at the time. **** me dead jaik I need your hookups. I hassle you enough as it is but thanks I'll call you next time. Just to add to this. Nissan quote for r32 steering rack.. get this a bit over $1700. This is TRADE price RRP a bit over $2200. I mean WHAT THE!?!? I really hope it's just the seals in it or something happens where it means I don't need a new one. If the new ones are that expensive I don't wanna think what the wrecked ones will cost. Ugh! -
heheh Mase. stage 1 weight reduction O_o z32 grills don't look like they would break but valid point none-the-less. If there are signs of it breaking off I"ll take it off

Lane Cove national park .. yeah! I don't know if that's too far for the peeps closer to liverpool. If it ain't I'm down for that for sure.. I'd prefer cruise over BBQ perhaps a run towards the beach then get some fish n chips somewhere up the coast? (I'm talkin maybe mona vale or avalon.. not too far maybe 1hr drive max from lane cove national park). I dono I don't wanna over-add suggestions I'm up for "whatever" but yea BBQs - can any of you hoons cook? Count me in for liverpool maccas or lane cove national or cruise or whatever. Someones get their gf to bring their friends... well.. 'slong as they fit -

Man I'm 20km from the city of SYDNEY (although admittedly I *do* live in a village). Anyway I'm just not too keen driving on roads I dono I guess everyone else would feel the same about the northern beaches. On the other hand there are some nice windy roads goin up north say to palm beach way or whatever. Also my un-engineered, not registered in NSW and highly defectable car scares me around the wessst sy-eeed. But yea if it is liverpool ceffo you're gonna have to lead me back cos I'm not good in navigating the interior of Australia and I ain't packin incase I get lost -

Liverpool? Damnit can't we go *near* Sydney somewhere? -
6x9's arent as good as 'normal' good speakers. But if you already have them take comfort in the fact they are good performers for their price. Whatever you do don't cut metal. God it frightens me how many people butcher their cars. Fit it properly like Craved!!! Metal cutting is illegal for a reason.. and more importantly because it compromises the structural integrity of the car. You get more flex, it rusts, looks ugly, could possibly end up cutting your head off in an accident, and practically invalidates Nissan's testing of it under pressure/load/crash situations. Why would you take your car away from the blueprint for something worse? Jeez. rant>

err thats meant to read "UAS said for the redline I'll have to bring my own container". The guy said they only use it in the workshop and not sell it but happy to sell from the drum (or whatever) they got if I bring my own container. Sweet I'll just get 1 bottle then. Is it worth cycling diff oil or no? I know it hasn't been changed for a very VERY long time and it's been (ab)used for a very VERY long/hard time

Do you have any more details? I'd like to go to the 1st of next month but can't make the monday so this might be a good idea. Will this be a public track day a few of us go to?

someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hmm. $60?? .... Bugger! When I asked UAS why there was a cheap aftermarket slave but not master they said cos the silvia uses a special one that aint so generic. When I called nisssan they said the slave was $80 and the master $126. Bugger! where'd you get yours? Did you just say generic nissan silvia part or what? -
I'm cycling it with 8100 just to be safe Apperantly it's overkill but I'd rather that than getting something clogged when i put the motul in and run it for good.

Thanks 2mB thats great. I've just ordered the master from Nissan. $126. I really really hope it will fit it's for a s13 '91-'93 sr20det. They also quoted me $80 for the slave. FUnny that the wreckers wanted $200 for both of them wrecked from a halfcut. I didn't order the slave from nissan I might just get the aftermarket one from UAS for $45. They're trusted supplier right? Or should I fork out the extra and get the Nissan one? whaddya reckon? Also did you need anything extra to do this (like another pipe?) or isit self explanatory when fitting it in? -
Do'h. I didn't want to waste it.. it just kind of happened. We drained the oil and it was putrid - that was BEFORE the motul went in. The previous oil used was some german stuff UWS I think. So now that the motul is doing the cleanie-clean thing I imagine they'd be a helluva lotta gunk floating around and I'm scared something is going to get blocked up! That's why I thought screw it I'll change it again just to be safe.
