Help! Looking for cefiro part help.
someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just called UAS and apparently they can rebuild the master for $110-$120 rebuilt master. This is pretty much only $10-20 or so less expensive than a new one. That sucked. The good news however is that a brand new aftermarket slave cylinder can be had for $45 !!! That's a great saving considering the slave costs more than double that for a wrecked item. So perhaps I'll get the aftermarket slave and I will have to confirm the s13 one will fit then order that from Nissan (either through nissan or justjap). What do you guys think? S13 item will fit right? -

About my clutch cylinder just rang justjap they said the s13 master and slave are $130-140 each new. Now for a total cost of $260-280 vs $200 for old ones - I would spent $60-80 more and get brand new ones. They said once you order it's yours so if it don't fit I'm buggered. Could someone re-confirm this that the s13 sr20det ones do fit for sure? I know too_much_boost you've put it in but that was wrecked right? So the new ones should be exactly the same anyway right? I'm leaning towards ordering them. I think its s13 front and r32 rear when it comes to suspension but don't quote me. If you look through www.meggala.com there should be some info there as to whats replaceable with what. -

AMG and M's are should be thrashed on the track. It's always good to see that stuff. Like walking through back through the city after work one day saw a PHAT GT3 parked with all towing rings on it and stuff. Thought he was a poser but looked closer the whole insides were ripped out, had buckets, harness and the CAMS required blue triangle at the battery sticker and such. That put a smile on my face. Ceffo you have to take me to WSID soon when I get my steering and clutch cylinder problems fixed. -

Nevermind guys don't need a vin anymore. Thanks too_much I'll look for a s13 one. -
Just out of interest. I just serviced my car. Put in a new filter and put in some motul 8100. The oil that came out was the worst oil I've ever .. ever.. seen come from a car. So bad I will be running this oil for a week and doing another oil change. My question is if this is a good thing to do? Or should I run it for 10-20km then change it? In the week I plan to cycle this oil for it will probably do about 50-100km.

Gday, I have a mechanical diff of some sort and the oil has never been changed from Japan. I've been told you need to know the grade of oil that goes in. I have no idea how to find this out other than hoping that there are markings on the diff somewhere that identify it. Are there really grades of diff oils based on brands or will a certain grade of oil fit any mechanical?

Ahh thanks. I've been quoted $200 for a master and slave that's from a front cut s13. That's a bit dear if you ask me so I thought I'd give nissan a ring for new ones. Since I imagine they're going to take a bit of abuse and may as well be new and shiny Thanks for the PM my box is now clear and ready for message! -
Hi there. Congrats on the purchase. Please don't kill yourself (going from an excel to a push bike and I would say the same thing). I can't help you with the problem you have about the naked chick perhaps you're thinking of a fat one. I think the air flow mods are only minor power upgrades (maybe 10 or so kw? i could be wrong) but apperantly they increase responsiveness more. I can't truly say I've never had a car that didn't have them and then had them put on. My advice to you is if you've got those already make sure you have a high flow cat if you don't already. I believe there are some for sale in the for sale section. Just out of intereest if you already have an exhaust why are you planing on upgrading? Someone else may correct me here as I'm no car genius but I don't think the difference between 2 3/4 -=> 3" is much difference with a stock turbo? A BOV won't make you go any faster with a stock turbo. I'm not too sure if you can get 220 kw with a stock turbo. I think there are a couple of people that get close but I'd say you'd be pushing it. Again I'm not entirely sure with the car stuff as I'm no brain there - there are plenty of guys here that are however I'm sure will correct me. As a general thing though - rb25det + air flow mods + bov + larger intercooler is not going to yield you 220kw. If you just want some quick cheap mods that will probably be the most effective there is a how-to in the tutorial section on how to make your car be on high boost from lower revs. This will probably give you better response. Also a bleed valve to up your boost a little (a little) will probably give you a little bit more ooomph. Good luck. PS - I think you've posted in the wrong section as well.. You've reached the cefiro hotline here.

Hey thats a good test theory if I get one I will.. !! maybe even a hair dryer or something. My assertion though is that the difference in the amount of air shouldn't affect it because either way is MORE than the pod will ever suck in at a time. Maybe I'm wrong here I dono.

I'm looking for a master and slave clutch cylinder. I called nissan and they need a VIN to look it up. I'm at work - my car is at home and nissan need to put a vin through FAST to look for the part number. By the time i get home they will be closed and BUGGER! So could anyone please pm or post their VIN to me especially if they have a '88 cefiro? Master and slave clutch cylinders - the part numbers for these are also welcome as that way I can just ask them for those. Also if you guys are SURE say a s13 one will fit I can just ask them for that but they will probably need VIN also. !!!

Wow man that looks great. I'm not a big fan of the r33s or r33 dashes but that looks awesome. Good onyou!

I looked at my z32 AFM grill today and thought to take it out as alotta people seem to but I thought the extra .5kw I'd gain is probably not worth the 1:1000000 chance a peice of anything falls in and goes into the engine. *shrug* Never know maybe a bit of your air filter or something.. It's just cheap insurance I guess.

That looks good - man you have a clean corner of that engine bay. I wish mine was that clean.

Hmm - inark it's ducting.. It ducts air. It's not an exhaust manifold or inlet pipe. All it does is duct air into the car. While you're right about the turbulance and stuff but I don't think it practically effects it. I mean the air the pod actually sucks in at any time is still there whether it's ducting pipe or straight pipe. Obviously the straight pipe is more effective but the ducting does enough to suffice. Obviously all the above is from my own assumptions - it's not tested or from race research/experience so I could be wrong.

Vic: r33 gtst on P's?
someonestolecc replied to ANut's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
If you keep getting pulled over my advice to you is log it (write it all down) and make a complaint. I"m not sure who does police complaints in victoria. I remember one of my friends bought a car from a drug dealer - he used to get pulled over by d's, undercover, highway, local - every cop car. After he found out who the car belonged to and complained to his dad (some richy rich conections guy) who made a complaint to the police and ombudsman (or whoever) and he never got pulled over again. -

I'm in Sydney. Plates are victorian cos thats where the car is from! Neoprene.. hm how much is that? I'm using ducting designed for exhausting washing machine steam so I'll be keeping an eye on it. So far it's great but still keeping an eye on it.
