favourite kit = kakimoto widebody.. owns all other kits but vertex is a very good one too

I'd help but I honostly don't know. I would assume the handbrake line would need to be changed in length to be shorter. Then put in an actual handbreak lever instead of the handbrake release thing you have now. That would thenhave the cable hooked up to it instead of the foot thing. Again - I'm not too sure! Maybe someone else might know? GOod luck!

Legally engineering the cefiro.

Thanks I get it now - too_much mentioned the same thing (i think) on our meet so now I jsut have to figure it out without butchering the pipe. Also point number 4 has been solved as too_much has swapped me a rail for the a31 - woohoo thanks too_much! -
the basics of mods on the cefiro

Thanks for your reply Toshi! Well then there you go - sounds like you are definately well worth the money for doing all that. Good on you. I may contact you when making major mods because I'd like to see that - but at the moment just trying to fix the car up before upgrading -
PS nice logo "cefironsw" there kur5ed. Would you please send me a normal source I'd like to make a sticker from it? Perhaps we can make that a SAU sub section?

Thanks all for coming - great to meet ya all. Great thanks to ceffo and kur5ed for bringin the goods and hospitality!!! Thanks everyone else for coming and swapping/giving advice freely - especially too_much - thanks for swapping that seat rail with me- gets me closer to engineering and I'll be putting those bolts in my engine mounts today On the bright side my engine didn't fall out when I went for some 'touge' styled driving later that night O_o Also - find kur5ed's zippo!!! THanks again guys and mitch dowd says hello to all you homos out there.

THanks Duncan that made no sense what-so-ever From what I can gather the wheels would be wider than stock more than 1 and 2" anyway so I don't need to understand I just know the wheels are too big. I thought there is a size even engineers can't certify isn't there? THanks Jaik - how do I do that? Into the turbo that doesn't sound good at all - could you explain this to me a little more please? -
Nice CEF11E sounds great - I'll ask ya tomorz what turbs you got on it

hehe i was thinking that too! -
13 is about right. But yeah I ain't got no radio so if anyone wants to bring me an extra should they have one that'd be nice. breaker.. breaker.. radio check please there is a bogey on the smokey in the hogie logey...

Haha nice work to the driver. Yeah I didn't call you (I assume you work at powerplay?) but that would explain why I'm missing half the story. I was only up to the point at the Sydney driftnats. Was talking to the owner of east bear (i'm terrible in names) and obviously that wasn't known at that time. Wooot that'll be cool to see a car I've touched running in (I assume) D1 !! wooo! I hope he checks his brakes before he goes into it though as I also got me a little 'souvenir' heh heh .. Erhm.. but yesss thanks for explaining the full story to me (Ps no i did not swipe a piece of the brakes im being a smart ass :bonk: )

True Duncan I will - I'm just waiting to figure out who can weld it (who has some engineering knowledge).. should be like $20 I'm hoping versus the $300 for rails. It says 2" in that document that's linked- I have NFI what wheel track is and how to measure it off standard. No idea about the tyre placard I haven't looked for one yet (will tonite tho). And no I don't think it was complied with these wheels on it. Worse come to worst I will use stock cefiro wheels of some sort if someone can lend them to me but ideally I'd like my car engineered as it's driven! Well. That ends my documentation of engineering. :Owned: -
the basics of mods on the cefiro

Noone said Toshi is expensive. Infact I've heard his name come up more and more recently heh heh. Mind you I don't think he writes your chip everytime but copies a base map then adjusts it - is that right Toshi? Either way it is worth the money for the service. What I was saying (and i think the other guys here) is for 15-25hp it's not worth it if you intend on doing more mods later.. I mean if you're not going to do any mods later then sure get the best you can out of what you have in which case you make a decision if $/kw is worth it or not. But yeah I think if kursed intends on more mods then get as many mods you intend to do for a while THEN go get a remap. Also kursed I hope you're going to our thing on Saturday - if ya'ar bring $7 for entry, $15 for ceffo (or however much it ends up being for the food and stuff) and bring ya car! Hello, I will now embark on the fun journey of legally engineering my cefiro. This will be a thread that I will update till i've got a certificate or someone tells me to STFU. On the agenda- 1- add resonator (gotta get that 90db) 2- 100mm ground clearance on everything on the car (except wheels and tyres) 3- make the crank case not vent to atmosphere (im still trying to work this one out) 4- add a small plate and weld to my bride seat rail so the 4th hole/bolt lines up 5- add front indicators (just to be on the safe side) 6- investigate my tyres/wheels and see if they're legal there.. .that doesn't sound so hard? Now - first things first. Number 6. Can anyone tell me, according to this - http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/dow.../vsi09_rev4.pdf If my wheels are too big? I think they're 18x8.5 all round. I can't figure out the maximum plus this plus that add and subract if you have x y z... What's the maximum legal wheel size on a cefiro (according to the placard)? Will I need to get a GTR (or even GTST) placard to stick on? Hmm - Help!

Heh heh yeah and that bastard meggala took it off and i'm only left with the 30% effective mount (which I'm sure he is looking for right now har har). I'm actually looking for something to hang off the mirror which will make it easier to drift... (a dead rat). "Oh my god oh my god" "oh my god oh my god" .. hehe -
About the r31 - the owner of east bear told me that the owner of it wanted to sell it in aus cos it would have been easier to than taking it back. So - yes the owner wanted it back, but I was told prefered to have sold it (and i understand the plan was to have it sitting at powerplay for a little bit to see if anyone did). They may have changed their minds - but nevertheless SW20 it was for sale (i was even given a price)

Cai + Partition D.I.Y Information
someonestolecc replied to doxximus's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Yeah today i "lost" my front pipe (i found it on my front wheel) because it had wiggled out of a zip tie. It's kinda mangled now soI just ordered some orange neoprene stuff from revolution racegear. Guy was really helpful they have a black stuff too but it's hardcore use i don't think i'll need it (plus it was more expensive). -
too_much thats great news. haha FATNESS - no mufflers lol
-
heh. i want your car. noone has asked me or even looked at the car with the WHAT THE face except for one passenger in a p plater 180 and one p plate guy in a ford laser who stopped at the lights on green and asked me to smoke it up (being really nice about it too haha). I want a gtr engine damnit. You still selling ? I might go hock a kidney.
-
Nice one CEF11E. I had my inlet pipe fall off the turbo yesterday and spent all night fixing it. (well a few hours anyway). Gonna try to change my gearbox oil today (if i can figure out which bolt needs to come out). Oh and my CAI pipe fell off on the freeway and into my wheel so I'm going to be downstairs in the carpark after work trying to get that out without getting my suit dirty (UGH WHAT A NIGHTMARE). Oh well .. neoprene it is for me too_much_boost I think was trying to put in his cams last night also. We'll all get there!! (and funny you should mention the gaffer tape.. my car is held toegether by zip ties).
-
... does that mean I shouldn't bother with CAI?
-
What? I thought the free trade agreement passed and we already had all their laws?
-
hehe. its funny reading this post. everyone loves this n that who are nice.. i go there and they'll prolly rort me and try to talk shit to get more money (even thought i know for a fact they're full of shit).

i thought someone here ended up buying it... i see.. well in that case it went back to japan cos noone bought it
