  1. I prefer ultimate. I've only ever fed optimax into my renault, ford GT and then a little barina.. since getting my sr20 cefiro I've only used ultimate cos the first tank of optimax i put in left huge black splatters on stuff in the garage parked behind the car and resulted in the whole back half covered in black crap (and i'd just washed it). *shrug* people say optimax has way more sulpher in it also. but then again in NSW ultimate is made at shell refineries so i guess the real question is if the process is any different or if its the same.
  2. Nevermind - (for anyone elses benefit should they search this thread up) http://www.initialdrift.com.au/forums/view...opic.php?t=1017
  3. Just wondering which CAMS license I will need for CAMS drift events... is it 2NS or 2S? I thought it was NS but I thought about it and after careful deliberation (with myself) I figure it could also just as easily be S. Cheers.
  4. Hey mate, Just wondering whats the details on that and how much you want for it? brand/maker/spec/noise level estimate/any info. mine has only cat and x-force muffler. I really dislike xforce and would prefer something like a kakimoto but alas it's not something you just pickup "kakimoto for cefiro" so to get past engineering I'd need something else. If the postage isn't too much may be interested, but I'm thinking the postage might make it more expensive then getting one welded here. Thanks mate.
  5. I'll be there if I get my oil return pipe fixed up ......that fell offwhen I went for a test drive after putting in a short shift kit. I also have two more issues I MUST fix before any track days- - new steering rack in (something grinds when i turn right 20-30% of the wheel) - new brake fluid, pads, machine rotors (my handbrake light turns on when i turn right) Hopefully if ceffo hooks me up not this but next weekend we can get that sorted and then we'll be in business. If the new steering rack doesn't fix my grinding I'm gonna be out of theories and not very happy. Things that should go in that if i don't get around to, depending how I feel may or may not keep me off the track - - oil temp and pressure gauge - oil cooler kit (with proper oil, not servo stuff i had to put in after i lost my pipe the other night) - set of tyres/rims for drift keen to get out there but not at the cost of the car so *fingers crossed*.
  6. not a fan of the new one.. e30 = james bond era .. love it e46 m3 *drool* ("mr simpson.. mr simpson you are drooling on the microphone!")
  7. Yeah nice price I'm just wondering if we could get some more info on them? Dan's crazy ass cooler isn't very descriptive... crazy assed as it may be
  8. Actually that ain't mine. Mine was red and was lower and had fatter wheels than that. Granted it was dirtier but it sounded animal and got girls anywhere. I've still got it it's just unregistered.. hence I'm trying to sell it.. got lots of good bits on it I just couldn't afford it so I wen't turbo.. I mean 30-45L/100km isn't a car you can drive a lot where I get as much fun from the cefiro at better than half that consumption.
  9. omg i don't believe that ... thats not a real girl! http://members.optusnet.com.au/hacklebacks...s/xw%20Page.htm That is a car to be picked up in (atleast all the chicks i knew at the time loved it.. now i have no chicks .haha...)
  10. if you're gf is hot i have a cefiro.. thats 4 doors seriously though i would if i had my old car... '69 GT falcon - every girl loves those as far as I know your average girl isn't impressed by gtr offset rims, a pfc and a big exhaust.... maybe try a old ford or something instead?
  11. damnit i wanna see that 1/4 mile run.. cefiro with rb26 and those figures = represent hehe
  12. I think you're right there are ones for 7000 but I don't think it would be 'done up' and it'd cost you a fair bit to put in a diff, suspension and other drift goods on it. I haven't imported one so I can't help but surely someone else here will Also I think you should have a look at yahoo.co.jp auctions and other online places.
  13. Brian it depends what engine/what tune etc you're running. But I imagine stock it wouldn't do too badly. Currently mines anywhere from 10-15litres/100kmh I've been trying to take it easy. I'm sure on a track I could get it to 15-25l/km Then again can't compare mine it's got a different engine. My flatmate's r32 (stock) which is really more accurate since it's the engine a stock cefiro has in it will do 400km a tank or thereabouts I believe leaving him with about 12l/km or thereabouts (again - realy depends on how you drive).
  14. fuuuuarrkkkkkk 207 rwkw 9psi.... That's leet I like it!!
  15. Ok I got myself some new pads for the ceff today. I will let everyone know how they go incase anyone is interested. These may be a cheaper alternative to what I was going to put in and competitively (or so I thought) priced to other more well known Japanese brands - I'm interested as to how they go for street and occasional track meet! Andrew at Mu's Secret managed to talk me into them (actually I didn't need much convincing and he seemed pretty cool.. good prices and good shizo). Woot waiting to finish some assignments then I can get my discs machined, bleed the brakes and put these babies in. Anyone got these pads already?
  16. Heh heh. Thanks guys looks like some great advice - I'll keep it in mind and go shopping next week.
  17. z32 is both sides as well i think.
  18. 105 in 2nd rental mirage ROFL Still wou'dnt it be strange 10-20 guys rock up and rent all the s2000's ? I would prefer s2000 over mx5 i think on the track if stock
  19. Ah conversion. I thought it was a factory rb20 - oops that ain't possible.
  20. Gday, I was hoping to get a helmet for track/drift/drags - I like to think i'm priceless so even thougth I'd love to get a $5000 helmet I can't afford nearly that much. I was hoping to find a new one for $100-200 somewhere as I don't quite trust used ones (incase they're cracked or damaged). Can anyone recommend any styles/types/brands ? And what do you guys think of open face? I think i'd prefer that in terms of being comfortable but I know open faced allow for the compression of your neck so if I was on a bike I'd never get one - on the other hand is that likely to occur in a car? Thanks guys.
  21. isn't mx5 challenge some thing they provide you with cars? I'd be up for mx5 action - something you can keep your foot straight to the floor with and not be scared of hitting 300 before a corner.
  22. Ahh fair nuff C. That sounds reasonable. BMW/Merc/Audi lipped = the phatz0r. Even with the other way I thought you had to repaint that bit?
  23. god daveo that's a big figure for stock turbo.. should be nice in the cef! As for speed cut I don't think the VL would have speed cut as it's aussie vehicle? I mean I've never owned a rb20 or commo but I don't see why it would have one (it's not an import). My boost is currently about 13-14 and I think its slow (i'm getting used to it).. i'm starting to want a bigger setup.. sigh this is bad.
  24. Update: I think all is good I've found it. It is infact the wheelarch grommet which I thought I'd plugged. I plugged 90% of it theres still a little bit on the inside I missed. I'm so very ****ing glad it is only that. Does anyone know if there is a similar grommet/part on a silvia or something I can go get from a wrecking yard? (ie. that hole in the underside of the guard must be standard on the cef/sil/liner isn't it??)
