  1. i use wet cardboard in the same manor and it worked every time without fail
  2. here is a link to the book the ultimate japenes supercar by Andy Butler
  3. ok, a healthy stock series 1 R32 GTR with only the restrictor removed will make about 170rwkw, i had 2 6 puks and where grabby, unpredictable and very on/off the 4 puk was worse and the 3 puks was worse again, none of which would hold 231rwkw on a good lunch or quick shift. the full face are the oppersite easy to slip, very predictable and progressive just like the twin plate, even if you don't want a twin there are some good hyper singles out there that will take 250rwkw but not much more and the good thing with these set ups you get the flywheel clutch plate and cover plate as a direct replacement and if want to unpgrade later they can be converted to twins or even triples 3 of those single plate cost just over the grand mark fitted then i fitted the rest myself cause it was getting to expensive to pay someone, then i sat back and thought about how much it was costing and decided to just go the twin and in the long run it has saved me money and i wish i had of just done it in the first place rear main seal is a good idea so is the spigeot bearing in the end of the crank
  4. pick your clutch depending on you end goal if 200rwkw is all you want (as if ) then the the six puk ( horrible clutch ) will hold it fine, 200rwkw + go a twin plate which are much nicer to drive. 200rwkw is very easy, with full exhaust, pods, cam gears and 18psi on the stock computer my R32 made 231rwkw and ran 11.9 but distroyed single plates, 5 in total before going a twin and that one is still in car now some 5 years later
  5. try wikipedia first, i have a book purely about the gtr and its history, i'll find it and post the name up
  6. the two big ones look like the knock sensor plugs so that is probley the loom that goes under the plenum, simple way is look for something that doesn't have something pluged into it and see which one fits, good thing with these cars there is only one place a plug can go so if it doesn't fit it goes somewhere else if it does fit then that is where it goes
  7. i have a brand new set of 3.55 front and rear crown and pinion gears for a R34 straight from nissan, cost me nearly $2000 with all fees and charges getting them here, give me that and there yours
  8. R34 brembos have a m14 bolt as the R32 has m12 so need to either drill out your hubs or helicoil the brembos, if get the O2 sensors off the R34 then all of the exhaust side should bolt in, seats are a great upgrade so much better then the 32 ones, injectors are identical why change them just get yours cleaned and if your coils are failing get spiltfires or the like
  9. wait till you get one come half off, it runs like shit on boost but idles fine and drive fine off boost and cause it only came half off you can't see it easy and have to pull half the friggin car apart to find it was the one that joins the back turbo to the front one
  10. since you brought it from out of state you have 3 months, the 14 day thing is only if you buy it in NSW cause as far as th RTA are concerned it is a unregoed car hence the blueslip, you will need a air box, premier auto at sunblest st mount druitt did my R34 (brought it from the ACT ) and he made it very easy and knew excatly what needed to be done
  11. really depends on your budget and the direction you want to take your car, like i said before, the cheapest and easiest way is probley to just buy a complete engine and drop it in, you can get them for around $3500 and $4000 or.... there is a 2.7 jun stroker kit for sale in the for sale section just needs a set of pistons which would work good for you since you are going to have to boreout your block to get rid of scoing so you can just buy what ever size pistons you need after you find out how far you have to bore it or.... i remember seeing a built 3ltr i there some where aswell ready for a 26 head.
  12. does that mean i was correct ? and it looks like a GT or GTv
  13. i thought all R34 GTRs had mfds, GT-Ts have three gauges and GTs have nothing but that could be just me, i also thought GTRs have different coloured lights next to the number plate where GT-Ts and GTs have white ones, personally i'd say its a GT with a turbo kit or just intercooler put onit. i think it looks different and i don't mind it but i certaintly wouldn't do it to my R34
  14. its because the GTR run AFMs and if you make them open to the atmosphere the air that comes out has been metered and the air is still rushing through the AFMs then going out the bovs and the computer is putting fuel into engine for that air which will make engine run really rich while the bov is open meaning when you go for the next gear you have to get rid of that fuel to get engine running its best again. pods are your best bet or run 1 atmo and 1 return that way there is still air stopping the flow through he AFMs.
  15. please its another pub stunt, green by 6 easy
  16. pm sent, yes turbos and dumps will bolt straight into the R32 33 GTRs no mods needed, they are watercooled same as 32 and 33, your right mate happy to answer any questions
  17. yes mate they bolt straight in and are a good upgrade for a street R32, though if your going to do it i would do the dumps to as the R32 ones are very restrictive
  18. which boost controller is it, i know it says turbosmart but which one, what is the spring pressure of the waste gate, i'm going to guess 8-9psi and if so then get rid of that boost controller and get a good jap one. i've had both and i don't care what anyone says the turbosmart e-boosts in my opinion are rubbish, i had one do a similar thing to me in the R32 after it was set up by CRD (so set properly), it came out the next day and a HKS EVC5 went in and no more problems
  19. mid to top, 3500rpm to 8500rpm, duration is rev range lift is overall torque
  20. these are used poncams they will drop straight in no work required(you do need the R34 GTR CAS), you can how ever double check the gap between cam and bucket if you're worried but as they have the same radius as the stock cams with higher lobe centre they are drop in.they where working fine in my R34 only changed them to get more lower end cams, 250s for response aimed at track use
  21. cams $600 turbos $450 dumps $200 i have pics and as soon as i remember how to get then off my phone i post them up
