  3. just removed HKS split dumps front HKS front pipes off my R34GTR v-spec II which has had a bung for the exhaust tempsensor tiged on
  4. T517Zs with 10cm rear, better quality, tighter tolerances, better response and same power as -5s, ask your tuner

  7. +1 i had 6 points with keypad fitted and if it is a bit sus i take the computer out, or i plan and if i know the area is questionable before i go i take the rodeo. of those 40 cars how many where insurance jobs?
  8. 1. it is just to hold the loom in place and can be removed, 2&3. it is the cabin air temp sensor for the climate controll, 4. ????? WTF, looks like some sort of after market roof vent ?
  9. unless you are going to drill your hubs the m14 bolts won't go though the hub holes, instead try to get m14 1.25 to m12 1.25 helicoils for front, i think the backs are the same size ?
  10. i brought 20mm noe tech ones on ebay for the R34 and have done a trackday at wakefield with them on so they pretty strong

  12. exactly what i meant, and most people ride the the clutch a little bit and then there is side stepping which when you push clutch pedal all the way down and the dial in 8000+rpm and then slide your foot side ways off the pedal in stead of lifting your foot up with pedal, flat shift is not good for stock boxes but at least everything is moving in the right direction not going for a stand still
  13. if you side step the clutch at 8000rpm and parcel shelf shift every gear you can brake anything
  14. its N/A the oil return for turbo is pluged off with a factory plug, same as whats in all nissan gearboxes and diffs
  15. aren't Mahle pistons fordged or just some of them
  16. what Baron said, good for you having a go at your own car and not just paying someone else to do it for you,which any tool can do, i'd say after doing what Baron said and if there is a problem in the engine it would most likely be in the bottom end probley rings which i believe you said the machine shop did, so no fault of yours. the engine in my R32 was built by completely by myself in my garden shed ( new rings bearings and head gasket, making 1 engine from 2 broken ones) and i have had no training at all and it has ran a hand full of low 11s and been in car for over a year, so whats wrong with DIY and slapping it together .
  17. dam multiquote won't work, had to post this one to make sense same can be said for capacity,5.7-6.0-6.2 LS motors are old tech, i have had the chance to drive all these engines and i don't know what you guys are talkingabout they make no where near the power down low my R32 GTR does and it makes alot more torque with very few modds and does it in a much bigger band, getting usable boost at 2000rpm and full boost at 2700rpm through to the 8000rpm redline with peak torque at 3900 and peak power at 6500. thats a power band of about 5500rpm you want cheap easy power, enough to see clear of a V8 SS for $1000 then a zex NO2 kit a good dump pipe and front pipe would be hard to beat and if you can find then second hand you could do it for less then the $1000
  18. nah i don't read books to much i only have this one cause a mate gave it to me, i think the most info you will find will be in mags like "wheels" etc, anything that reports on stock cars as they are released, otherwise try the Nissan web site, they might still have a write up on its release or of the updates its had over the last few years.
  19. nah it goes from the first gtr to the r34 z-tune but it was published before the r35 was released

NO2 kit and if you still get beaten you can undo the hose such the gas and you won't feel so bad...... seriously i ran a 5.7 vyss at WSID with just bolton stuff, over rad intake, cam, exhaust and tune on worn mt et streets with no nos or boost and it ran 11.7, scared the shit out of me as he got off line first

  22. 250-300 for a sump with diff i've seen for sale on here a few times, i'd say get it writing that he'll give you the 300 back and you should be right, the extra is probley like a deposit to give you more insentive to return your sump back to him, though the fact he changed the price is a bit sus unless he is running low on sumps to prefab
  23. excactly same thing happened to my R32, it was the gasket between the throtle bodies and the engine,get a can of brake cleaner and run it around the intake plenium and if the idle changes at all then there is a vacuum/boost leak
  24. yeah i'm sure i said stock car with only restrictors removed which is from what you said "well it's a gtr so it's putting out 200 stock with the boost restrictors removed", not one with high flowed turbos ( which is what they do when they put steel wheels in ) a full exhaust and a tuned computer, but yeah high 170s to 200 with the extra 2.5-3 psi sounds about right
