So does a Japanese person get pulled over by 3 cop cars, then have their car fully inspected, then told its not roadworthy. Which they then must take it to the local "inspection centre" and have all performance items removed so its completely stock???

I removed my rb20det inlet plenum while the engine was still in the car. Pain in the arse, but it can be done none the less. Just have a couple of enxtension bars, and swivel sockets ready
Yeah the only two ECU's that can be tuned "with experience" in SA are the Power FC of the Microtech.
Unless u trust rotary specialists with your line, you could get the wolf V4.....
i bought a Cometic 3 layer full metal head gasket (with inbuilt orings as i understand) for less than $200. Seems cheaper than 600 for the Jap brand ones.
But yer a VRS kit is ideal if u rebuild the entire top end. Valve stem seals are like 200 by themselves....
