  7. Hey, it snows in Japan and they got em
  8. thermostat is in sandwich block between oil filter and block. If engine oil temp is cold, oil bypasses lines and just circulates the filter, going back into the engine. Same way thermostat works for cooling system. Now the big question is, how do u fill oil cooler system if a) oil is cold (thermostat is shut obviously), B) how do you know how much to put in?
  9. 1. Why do halhf a job 2.U would if u dont fill em up to compensate. (anyone know how to do this, its got me stumped) 3.yes
  10. Sorry man i cant help. Unless its in the manual, cos i got the english version of both. Tell me exactly what u want to know. ie pin number on what component, the bc or the pfc?
  11. Hey rrrage, great vids, just a question. Is it possible to burn these to cd to watch on my tv through the dvd player? Ive got a few vids, (different format eg *.wmv, *.asf) do i have to convert them, and using what program?
  12. I just had my rb31det built. Its running a 3 layer full metal head gasket. I was advised against using o-rings because, for example, what if u score the block so it requires remachining? U need to pay to get it re done. No full metal head gaskets dont cost an arm and a leg. The one i used was a brand called "Cometic" It cost like SFA i think less than 300? Comes from the US. My engine builder said guys use it regularly in Group A, or diesel engines, cos it holds sh*t loads of boost
  13. Whats your problem? Ive got both.
  14. The main thing i noticed when i bought my Stanley tool kit, is how well the tool actually fits the nut etc, that its supposed to. Ie a 14mm open end spanner fits a 14mm nut with NO play in it. Cheap and nasty tools always seem to not quite fit and end up rounding off more nuts than they take off.
  15. Who the F*ck is trent?
  16. yer i understand Steve. Just seems wierd how u can get a tune, blow 1 or more pistons and then have no one to answer for it (providing u didnt thrash it yourself )
  17. Im using the rb20 sump. The engine builder just bent the fins back to clear the rb30 sump. If u want good power over 300rwkw, go for a tubular exhaust manifold, and ext. gate Intake, if u need it, can be bought from RIPS. Give him a pm, he makes a front facing jobbie in kit form (plenum, accelerator cable, throttle body). They must be good if he's in the 10's with his rb30det's
  18. Can i ask if there are "Respected Tuners" in this community, then why does no one offer any guarantee of blowing motor. If you take your car to someone and you pay big bucks to get it done properly, which i would if i knew it would be safe how come they dont wanna know you if something goes wrong. Seems like no ones confident enough to stand by the quality of their own work these days.
  19. How do the metal plates in the pic shown, sit in the "basket" when installing them? Do rotate the next metal plate one slot around when it goes in? Also what are the torque specs of the flywheel bolts, and what order do i do them up in? Cheers :wavey:
  20. Timmmayyy, im sure Enrico will agree with u CheekyR32, go see Shaun at Boost Worx. He can tune R32s no worries
  21. do you have the metal front bar support? the one that attaches the front spoiler to the car. ps is it in original condition? how much? cheers
