right i checked my block(rb30). The sensor next to the oil filter has a fine thread on it. It has another hole in line with it but its on the engine mount? same thread. These are in the same positions as the two sensors on my rb20. The rb20 sensors have coarse thread. go figure? I have a large sensor next to the oil filter on the rb20. This has a plugin the middle, and what looks like a spot for a couple of wires soldered each side of it. Im confused....

Ok, now i'm seriously confused. To my knowledge i have an rb30e block. Series two. Bought it out of a car. It has one sensor (electical plug) screwed it between cyl. 5 & 6 on the drivers side (towards the back). There are three holes just below the top of the block (~60mm down), and are ~150mm apart. They are tapped, but only go into the block then stop.(sorry, never removed a knock sensor b4). One is above the right engine mount, the sencond is above the oil fliter, the third is 150mm back. What i thought was the knock sensor is between the last two. Am i right? Are these holes the positions for knock sensors, if so what is the plug by itself? Can any 1 take photos? sorry for the questions, just wanna learn

yeah, but what would u do with the other one, seeing as the rb30 only has room for 1? Can it be left just taped up to the side of the engine bay, or does it need to be connected? /edit - what if this coversion had a power fc also? would it detect something was wrong, etc?

what are the two sensors in the block on the drivers side on the rb20, and why does the rb30 only have 1? What do you do with the other sensor if u were to do this conversion? cheers

sent by toll. Came in a faqking huge box. The only thing i dont like with it, is with the two smaller side pipes that go into/out of the cooler. He could have ground the joins of the piping smooth on the inside. Im a welder myself, so i could pick it to pieces, but overall a good job. Could you tell me when u get yours if it has a small plate to secure it to the head, welded to the top pipe? The original photos show one on the r33 version, but its not on mine. Also the top pipe shown was section welded, the top piece i got is a 1 piece mandrel bent tube Cheers

Update : Just received my intercooler kit todat. yay christmas. Anyone else got one of these kits could help me out? Which pipe goes on which side? There is a u shaped one and an s shaped one. Also what does the small outlet on the top pipe attatch to? Cheers.

Why do these type of threads come up all the time? Ask yourself what do all young male drivers do in there first car. - Hammer it. Why do you think they want a skyline then? Ask him if he would drive a turbo or non turbo version to find the answer. If he just likes the power (which all young drivers do, don't kid yourself), tell him to chill out till hes older. Then he'll at least get older.

I've got one on mine. My god are they good to have. The only problem iv'e found is that if u leave the inner cover closed at night, condensation builds up in the morn. I've got the smallest amount of rust on the inner part of the sunroof.

That wouldn't be a dyno of the rb30/25 would it Joel?
