  1. You know why u get the run around? They only like doing the insurance jobs first. People like u and me come second to the real money maker.
  2. Got a set - front and rears- of lowered King Springs to suit r32. Came off std. shockers. Reason for sale - upgraded to Bilsteins. Drops car down pretty low. Dunno how far, but on an r32 with 16" rims, top of wheel arch is half way between rim and top of tyre roughly. (make sense?) $200 ono. - can deliver.
  3. GROUP BUY anyone???
  4. eh?
  5. Holy cow! :elaugh:
  6. same thing happened to me. Idler bearing bolt was over tightened. I woudnt even bother trying to fix it. The pistons probably mashed, the head might need machining, rods / crank anything could be stuffed. My $0.02 - get a second hand motor put in. Cheapest option.
  7. retrim the std. interior all leather....
  8. 4 electric motors in em. Be carful though, I heard through my work there was a recall on some because of the seats...
  9. Actually, just had a real close inspection. One exhaust valve on #6 is sitting flush with the surface of the head. All others are sunken slightly.

Dunno if this is the one, or if anyone has seen it but..... http://www.freshalloy.com/site/cars/nissan...cept/home.shtml check it out
  11. wouldn't it be better to get it welded? Wouldn't want to risk it coming away and floating around.....
  12. So what did we all decide was the solution?? -or haven't we got there yet? a)Proper head work b)hardened valves Im following this very closely......
  13. The std. valves are what -Joel- is talking about. "It happened to MattR's white r32 with the rb25 in it i think. He was over 300 and dropped a valve. It does become more of a problem though if u also use toluene etc. (as it raises exh. temps.)" "Over 450hp you have to spend big $$.. I've recently discovered that at around 300rwkw apparently the standard valves in the RB's tend to drop off." Joel have i forgotten anything......?
  14. the end bit that "opens and shuts" melts or snaps, & drops off the stem. make sense?
  15. Could anybody tell me wether it is ok to swap the "air regulator" from an r32 rb25de to an r32 rb20det? They have got different serial numbers on them. The part im talking about sits in between the two halves of the plenum towards the back of the engine bay. One side has snapped on my rb20det one, and i have a rb25de one here so i was wondering if i could use it? Thanks...
  16. Sorry to say Hippy, but the previous owner of my car had to remove the tinitng fron the drivers and passenders door to pass regency. Someone better find out b4 u spend the couple of hunderd to get em done. - Not being a downer just wanna know for sure myself. (Btw he passed with the back and 1/4 windows still tinted)
  17. Suppose you guys alreday know, but it is illegal to tint the front two doors of your skylines....Just saying cos if u get def...def.....*cough*....defected you havta take it off for regency

  19. I did same thing - No hope. Replace engine without even looking at it.
  20. Look for -Joel-'s Rb30 DIY guide. Its at the bottom of his sig. It give a rundown of everything u need. The rb30 came out of a VL Commodore. The series 2 NA version is the one to go. It has the turbo and oil lines just bunged up with bolts. The rb25de head with non vvt came from the last models of the r32. I bought the rb30 short motor for $110, and the r32de head + all intake side for $750 AU$
  21. link doesn't work dude.....
  22. Howdy Rezz, just a quikie.....How much for a super sexy carbon fibre dash for an r32 gtst? Do they have one?....(got a pic for an r32 one too, i'm greedy )
  23. ive got a highflowd on an rb20 too. Its set on 16 psi for high, can run 19 i'm told but 16 is fine
  24. "However, when you buy a HSV, you aren't buying a holden. You're buying a HSV" Yes you are - a Holden Special Vehicle. Agree with u on the modified parts too. Someone should open a shop here in Adelaide that would mod your car with compliance.....
  25. I don't wanna start a whole new thread here, but you can't say that a HSV isn't a Holden with just mods. It is a holden till HSV get it then mod the F*k out of it to suit their own purpose. HSV dont manufacture the whole car as well....I do agree that they are a separate company though
