  1. I think -Joel- has a lightened flywheel in, and mentioned somewhere that he gets some vibrations in 5th gear. With his upgrades coming he will be going back to the Std. one. Dunno exactly, maybe he can shed some more light....
  2. how much for the tailshaft....?
  3. Hey thats right. Changing to a Power FC usually means changing to the z32. Not plug and play now is it.....(By Sydneykid's definition, no offence) Good point Steve-sst. Bring on the comments
  4. your right it is stupid. fyi its water temp.
  5. You can have 2 different maps you can switch between using an external switch to go from the internal memory map to one stored on the external cartidge. Or to quote from the user manual: "You can use an Auxiliary Output to toggle the Auxiliary input to switch maps. The aux. output is setup to switch using any of the available inputs at the desired state. When the Aux Out toggles to switch maps.
  6. oooohhh....thaits gotta hoit!! (timmmayyy's comment, not the s15)
  7. yeah, what -Joel- said.
  8. How much did it cost for your wheel align hippy, and what was done?
  9. So it still comes down to getting that bad batch of fuel. I thought Adelaide had no problem with the "Petrol mixing", or bad fuel? When was the last time someone here got bad fuel? "having a knock sensor IMHO is absolutely vital in aftermarket management" - Would you not agree having Air temp corr. then eliminates the need for a knock sensor (bar the bad fuel)?
  10. Ok, i've said this b4, but anything i add to this is for me to learn coz im stoopid You guys seem to be held up on the fact that the Wolf has no Knock sensor. With this, does anyone know on good authority how Apexi scale this "Knock level" shown on the hand controller? (not "my tuner said 30 is bad. He's smart") Wih the wolf and the Air temp compensation, if the EMS is setup properly, would it not be up to the Wolf to determine a bad level of tune and pull timing/fuel if the air temp/water temp or whatever was considered to be at an unsafe level? ie self correcting. No need for knock sensor then. Do i have this right? Does the PowerFC do the air temp correction thingy, or would it stay at a certain level of tune unless you had to play with the hand controller? Then this would warrant the need for the knock sensor, to tell you when to "de-tune"?
  11. F*K all u wit cable :upurs:
  12. so do i but unless i "just gotta see that" i can't be bothered waitn 4 aaagggeeeessss.
  13. Seeing as stupid old modem gets 1meg per 2MINS!! i'd be here for the next HOUR, IF my connection does'nt hang up. ***IT i've gotta get broadband.....
  14. i'm actually replacing my rb20 atm. I noticed that nearly all bolts were only hand tight. Some were only finger loose! I'd advise everyone to check the bolts/screws on their car. Main areas were intake plenum, and the gearbox.
  15. Just make sure you build the bottom end to take later upgrades....
  16. You can slap the rb30 bottom end in and run it with everyting you got on the car now. Then upgrade other parts as needed.
  17. So do you
  18. joel, see this thread : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...rotational+idle
  19. the wolf is laptop programmable.....
  20. Don't you need the rails too, like $250 from D1 Garage? or do they come with the seat?
  21. Gotta have my intake of rice with the Avcr - i'll keep it and run the wolf with boost turned off Mildrens reckon it'd be about 500 for the tuning. Joel spoke to them so he knows more than me They only released the 32 version as well as the r33 in like April? Both would be similar to tune I assume?
  22. How about using it in conjunction with the AVCR? Iv'e got one sitting here, and still want to use it. Do you just dissable the boost control option and run the AVCR as a seaparate system?
  23. Steve, apparently Mildren race Engineering here in Adelaide can tune it no probs. http://www.mildrens.com.au - damn rotor heads
  24. I'm no "whizz" at this so let me state anything I'm adding to this discussion if for my benefit. I understand that the Wolf has "Air Temperature Injection Compensation". This measures the temperature of the air and increases or decreases timing, or the amount of fuel being added to keep a stable air:fuel ratio measured by two sensors. Wouldn't these two sensors eliminate one of the problems mentioned by Joel and Steve, the hot summers day? Just leaving the odd chance of getting a dud batch of fuel?
