  1. [quote name=ClutchBurndout-' timestamp='1309215846' post='5885827] ohhhhhhhh sounds like something you would only need when on the track not really. Go get someone to press on you brake pedal and watch the firewall flex. Does it every time you hit the pedal.
  2. hone marks still visible mean nothing. Ive seen numerous motors all ranging in kms and all had the hone marks visible.
  3. I can show you the pic cubes took of our heads with the cc written on it in texta after it was done if you don't believe it was 62.2cc
  4. right pistons, right head, then wait for the timing and comp tests.
  5. Calm down, i know u dont want a lecture. I try keep an eye out usually when driving, so will do when out n about.
  6. hasnt ruled out timing or compression, which should have been done straight away. Id worry about the pistons last if he used off the shelf ones the same as cubes and I had.
  7. whose tuning it? A simple compression test shouldnt have taken this long
  8. feel free to close it, went off topic a long time ago lol
  9. you want a compressor with some warranty on it. All the cheap ones break sooner rather than later. Go price up a decent one and look at what the differences are. You also need water traps, connections, hose etc, so it all adds up. The gun should be gravity fed, and a HVLP (high volume, low pressure) to spray the car with. Best bet is to also have a look around at the various types as buying the cheapest can also mean headaches. Different sized needles are needed for different types of media, like undercoat, primer and paint. Speak to the paint supplier as they can offer the best advice for the paint you want to eventually use.
  10. No disrespect here, but smcqueen89 I think you need to realize as Mafia has pointed out, that a lot of the users of the forum here, esp Roy aka "Mr RB20", have been playing with these cars and motors a lot longer than a single post can show. Reading between the lines sometimes means taking advice for what it is, without question. No one tries to re invent the wheel to do something different. People are letting you know their experiences of what and where to best spend cash. Turning around and having a go at people for their age or experience isnt cool, but as a guess by your own username, people have been playing with these cars while you were still in primary school. At some point when you want real advice, and dont want to try argue something that has been done to death, then the people who know best wont be giving up that advice so easily.
  11. other than thread crap, why not just ask or do some research. The internal diameter of the pipes grow in diameter where the last meet the next, which dont cause an issue. They have been designed to work, and do. If you are not happy with them, dont comment here, its a for sale thread.
  12. planet of the apes...next vid they are learning how to ride horses and shoot at the same time....I for one welcome our new ape overlords
  13. I used to own one of these, and there is internal casting that does separate the two sides from each other from memory. A photo of the outlet can confirm.
  14. neither did I. Never had troubles with timing on the 20, cas was great. Slapped in the 31 and it was all over the shit. NVM, wait n see I suppose. Wont be too long or too hard to sort.
  15. yer, shaun had to either swap or rebuild my cas to get it working...cant remember, but he sorted it quick smart.
  16. Does anyone know / use a courier they can recommend to get an engine delivered to Adelaide? I can pickup at any depot this end, but would be nice if the courier could go get it and maybe stick it on a pallet that end to save me some hassle. Any recommendations would be great. Need it from Vic to Adel if that helps
  17. I know how u feel..ive got a chest infection atm on top of the separated ribs i managed to do somehow. Get well soon
  18. Let me know how it goes, and what a kit would cost to knock up
  19. From memory hes using GTR cams with a custom regrind. Rb20 vs 25de(ones Im using) RB20DET specs are: in: 240deg, 7.8mm ex: 240deg 7.8mm RB25DE (R32): in: 240deg 7.8mm ex: 232deg 7.3mm
  20. Id like to see the details, as claims mean nothing without proof.
  21. he will be in that same position later when it dont sit well
  22. damn. If we could mod a maxima kit to fit, im sure a lot of people here would pay for a factory, somewhat plugin look.
  23. XEP695 or XRP695 as the photo shows? might want to edit the correct info.
