  1. those cams apparently run best when set to 0deg. ie they are setup out of the box. Did u start at 0, and work your way to 4 deg? or just slap it straight to 4?
  2. rb30 is a square motor (almost same borexstroke as 2JZ)
  3. Being a avid rider myself its good to see some good advice. Can i also add a few points : If you are buying a first bike, it is always good imho to learn on a 250cc bike, as its a tad easier to get a hang on learning how to ride, and understanding the basics. For example,a 250cc is lighter and easier to control if u have to do an emergency brake etc. I used to lock upand swing my rz250rr rear end a few times too many due to my own stupidity of going too fast Fun. 2. No matter what bike u have, ALWAYS get insurance. Same as cars really, but bikes suck for repairs. A fairing piece would be worth 1/2 the bike...no joke 3. Never skimp on poor rubber. It can mean the difference in traction if u hit white paint on the road, and its like ice when wet, especially if your lent over a little. 4. Buy leathers and wear them...for gods sake dont look like those knobs riding in shorts and thongs. Ive had a mate get gravel rash from dropping his. They use a stiff bristle brush at the hospital to get all the ashphalt out of your skin...seriously painful ive heard. 5. Maintenance...gotta keep it goin good. In SA its learner 250cc resticted on learners and p's. Then p's for 12 months, then open slather on what u want to ride.
  4. Id rather have a stock car with rims like u got mate very nice...
  5. lol...looks great. Ive got the same manifold, and i want to use the same turbo (Well...garrett equiv. of the 3037s, and internal gated 0.87 rear) on my engine. Will be good to see as a comparo
  6. Can i add at a dyno day Shaun had a small while ago for another car club (not mentioning names *cough* silvia *cough*) some knob decided to do a burnout in front of his workshop to celebrate his power figure.... One of the nearby residents called the police, and they came and shut down the dyno day. If anyone does any similar behaviour be prepared to have all other members of sau sa looking down at you.... I'll be in....to watch
  7. cool. Yeah i bought Guild Wars Factions ( the collectors edition) and once u buy that, no online fees to play Great game with the oriental theme to it, and love the interaction between people / monsters to fight etc... Will look out for ya Let me Drive
  8. Anyone here play? Im just starting out, but its good so far. One thing im up to is where u need to go down a valley, but theres like heaps of these crimson soldiers (groups of 2 or 3) that are in the way (kill u as soon as they see u) Anyone know how to get by them, as its annoying because u cant beat them, or go around as they are in the way Im a necromancer, who just started the assassin as a second skill set.... can recommend it, its good playing
  9. I call that having a go. Reverse the situation to if i said that to u, without asking what u meant, how would u feel? Correct me if im wrong, arnt we here talking about Brendans' LONG term investment chioce? So does that mean i have to answer in whole essay's to explain myself everytime incase someone sees different? never said that, again u assumed short term, i was referring long term. Bingo, just i took offence to the second quote above. Totally not needed, or warranted. As for the millionaires comment -let me step it out - how many people on here are millionaires, by just the property business. Dont count people with the name Kier, or Munro....or if your annual salary is bigger than your wang either. Im referring strickly in regards to real estate....not many... i'll crawl back in my hole now, go eat some more pain killers, and enjoy my mood swings.
  10. I frikking hate this whole forum now....Eveytime someone says something, everyone has to jump in, and say "OMG, thats BS" Im not gunna defend myself anymore, just say - Real estate - who F**N buys for the short term?? All long term (7-10 years) investments... Since when does buying a house (whilst maintaining repayments regardless of rate rises / economics -a normal thing if you are buying a property) = going backwards? you said it yourself : Please dont read what i say then make judgement on a 5 word sentence without understanding / asking the whole meaning. I say Brendan should go seek advice from a professional. U do what u think is best for your money/assets. -ANY MILLIONAIRES OUT THERE????- thought not, but everyone here seems to know just what to do. This forum can kiss my hairy butt cheeks from now on, ive had it with over opinionated wanna be's who think they have an answer for everything, while stuck in the sh*t hole they call a life... *not directed at anyone, just my personal opinion* Ps - everyone get a life, cars / money dont mean shit when your 6ft under.
  11. im not arguing, people have the right to their own opinion. As im slowing down with age, a smoother ride is high on my list, but still want some sort of handling better than std. Alloys dont fit my requirements, hence i wont fit them
  12. who wants a subframe locked to the car though. Unless its a track car, i dont want all the NVH in my arse and ears that the solid alloy type brings with it. i think everyone agrees - poly blocks - angle the subframe for traction (street or track) alloy mounts - crush down the std stuffed bushes (best for track) noltec subframe mounts - good all rounder (street, or track) I am replacing rubbers in my car for a performance issue, noit because most are stuffed (guaranteed all are)
  13. adding pinapples to help traction (induce squat) is a good thing to do while the subframe is out. All pinapples do is tilt the subframe forward, not stop any movement from the subframe, which is removed with the replacement of the subframe bushes.
  14. blue actually makes the light abit softer, and whiter...not blue. FYI they are just rubber over the globe.
  15. *sigh* why dont people either search for items or at least believe others when they ask q's.... :sorcerer: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...61&hl=grain http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...29&hl=light http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...12&hl=grain http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...29&hl=grain http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...35&hl=grain unless i, and all the others in the threads ^ are lying id say jacar etc would sell em. have a nice day
  16. Castrol SAF-XA is supposed to be some real good stuff for the mechanical diffs. Alot cheaper than redline too. The redline i got in mine now is pretty sheit...
  17. Boostworx here in Adelaide charges $250 to do it
  18. how is silicone with a brand name on it, different from a no-name product made of exactly the same stuff? Ive seen crap from Japan, as well as crap from Australia...
  19. a few things to note - any car (skyline is now what 14 years old??) with bushes that old are either stuffed or on their way out. If you drive your car harder than just doing normal street driving, then chances are you will notice a difference in fitting new bushes. No job is too big if you have the time and patience. Do jobs right the first time, dont use band aid solutions. Only time id use pinapples, is for tuning the angle of the subframe as per Sk's comments. I would fit the bushes to your car if u see any track work at all.
  20. I run rb74's with the anit squeal shims, and copper grease as shown above, and they have never squealed. You probably have dirty calipers, and no grease between the shims/pads.
  21. buy a datalogit cable
  22. nice car man. If i had the money, id be where your at
  23. 4agze = factory forged pistons. Thats why people use em. Why buy tomei rebranded pistons that someone else made, just for the part name?
