  1. I gave the AFM a good clean less than 5000k's ago with MAF cleaner, so I doubt that its just a dirty element. I will give the wires a wiggle with it running and plugged into the laptop to see if I see any drastic changes in voltage and see how that goes :-)
  2. So perhaps I should re solder the afm and see if i get any improvements?
  3. Yeah thats the problem the issue comes and goes so i couldnt just switch out the parts with a mate and then drive to see if it fixes it or not.... :-( Ive got a mate with a spare r34 afm so i could give that a go. Should i just try soldering mine first to see how i go?
  4. May I ask what aerials you guys are using for your digital TV's.... Ive got a digital tuner built into my head unit but the aerial its supplied with is a passive (un powered) jobby that doesnt really get very good reception while in motion or anything. Cheers
  5. Also if i was to buy another AFM and CAS how do i know what will suit my car? Same coloured label on the afm ive herd people talk about as for crank angle sensor mines one of the metal ones so do i just need another one of them?
  6. Hi All, Just recently I've come into this weird issue with my car. Its a series 1 so non neo-25. Ive had a bit of weird issue lately with my rb25 in my stagea. Ill be driving along randomly not under much load or anything and all of a sudden everything cuts out/goes real jerky like its running out of fuel or something. It tends to recover then be fine..... How ever over the past two days i actually had it completely turn off and i clutch in then clutch out and it restarts itself. Ive consulted the car and its throwing codes for the AFM and the CAS. I have herd about people re-soldering the joins on their AFM as the soldier tends to crack ect. Does anyone want to shed any light on this? What about the cas? Anything I can do to it or should i try and find a replacement or what do you guys think?
  7. Anyone got anything else to add?
  8. It has an after market fuel pump and it's not that old neither is fuel filter. It's been on and off for a bit didn't change anything on the car and notice it coming on but it's just got worse overtime.... I just finished work (dj) and before I left the carpark I cleared the fault codes with my laptop. As it was showing codes 11 (can shart position sensor and code 12 (mass air flow meter) in ecu talk diagnostic. Had not one issue on the way home. Wonder if this will be the end of my hiccup?
  9. Hi All, Ive had a bit of weird issue lately with my rb25 in my stagea. Ill be driving along randomly not under much load or anything and all of a sudden everything cuts out/goes real jerky like its running out of fuel or something. It tends to recover then be fine..... How ever over the past two days i actually had it completely turn off and i clutch in then clutch out and it restarts itself. Today it cut out completely and didnt want to restart. Then it did after a minute or so. Plugged in ecutalk and im getting MAF fault codes and CAS fault codes. So im guessing i should replace these? Ive seen different cas's on different rbs, what to i need to get? Sam with afm how do i know what will work with my car? Cheers, Chris
  10. Please PM photo of afm with the label.
  11. Hi Champ, Can you please send me a photo of the afm, most importantly the label thats on it :-) Cheers, Chris
  12. Just out of interest how many psi are you running?
  13. Remove the light grey plastic surround around the brake light (pop two coers off undo screws and yank it off) Remove the grey plastic trim around the rear windscreen, its all got those interior clips so a solid pull will do it. Remove the rear handle in the carpet trim in the actual tailgate it self (just clips out) remove all of those plastic screw things from the trim and bobs your uncle!
  14. this was in todays paper was it not?
  15. Hi all, Ive got 2 wing mirrors painted in KR4 (silver) suited to series 1 and 2 stags. Both have factory JDM glass with heaters so when you de-mist the rear window it will dry out your mirrors too. Drivers side mirror folding function is a bit iffy and sometimes it is a bit floppy, surely if you could be bothered you could open it up and see whats up. $120 for the pair.
