I dont see how a crash shop will do rust removal with welding in new plates and re painting to sides for $200. If so id like to see the quality of the work. 1/3 of the side will need to be resprayed to blend it properly. And no I dont have $200 to throw around..... Instead I purchased ganador mirrors for $400 and got them painted for $100 and then I get the enjoyment and satisfaction of removing the rust myself :-)

Hi All, Just thought I'd bump this thread up again as we have a shit load of new members since this issue was spoken of. I stress that if you cant see rust under your mirrors this doesnt mean this is irrelevant to you! Pull the mirrors of and remove the foam behind them and treat the rust that you cant see (their will be some!) before it gets to late...

Hi Mick, I cracked a windscreen in the past on my stag and found that the majority of the windscreen replacement places around down had them in stock or quick access to them :-) Mine was about 380 fitted at my work. Goodluck!

The majority of members do believe that the S1 has 12mm hole and S2 have 14mm hole..... This is NOT the case, ive seen S1 with 12mm hole (stageaharts - I did his 33 conversion) and S1 with 14mm hole (my car - I did my conversion) If your not comfortable drilling out 2mm of your hub studs, perhaps you shouldn't be stuffing around with the brakes on your car...

Yes easy fit. Will need to remove the olive out of the 34gtt calipers for the stock stagea banjos bolts to screw in far enough. Hub studs should be the same thickness for the bolts if not just drill them out, but my S1 was the same. Fronts are an easier change than the rears cos you will get away with out touching the dust covers.

Take one of the pieces thats in that purple color and go to Autobahn or supershit or something along those likes.... Hold the swatches up against it until you find a match you are happy with. Did it for my rs4 when I made the center console for the manual conversion... OR Bite the bullet and pull all the pieces out highlighted that color and hit them with black...

I used a dayco kit at 98K car currently at 152K and its been fine.... Original WP too ;-)
