  2. It was good to meet a few of you tonight, i had a good time! man RE3 was mad. What was better was that 100% of women after the apocalypse are fair mint hah ha. Cha, was funny yelling at you in the carpark- sorry about that! we had been driving around the carpark for about a half hour looking for a fellow skyline seeings as we got to the carwash at 7 and no one was there we figured we would head down to the shopping centre and try to find the crew. turns out we where a lil early anywho was pretty cool afterwards to see a v35, r34, r33 and an r32 cruising. v35's look a lot better in the flesh than in photos. Thanks adam for organising this, cheers, Rowdy.

  4. me: hey BOM, sup with tommorows weather? BOM: Cloudy. Areas of rain, easing to scattered showers in the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Winds northerly averaging 20 to 30 km/h tending west to southwesterly up to 50 km/h around dawn. me: ...jks? BOM: no "jk's". i am the BOM.
  5. schaweet! im going to head back out to the shed and put my bumper bar on, and possibly change my dash. if i dont change my dash i'll probably be in an xr6 tommorow. gayeh. or on my bike... hmmmmmmmmmm...mmmmmmmm BOM here i come.
  6. hot damn, im in! i flippen love resident evil, and even though milla will never look as hot as she did in the first movie, im still dead keen only thing im pissed about is i already bought a box set thing >.< now its incomplete! i dont mind where we meet/go. as long as i get to see it
  7. i know in victoria the epa states you can have a pod filter OR a front mount intercooler, not both. and the pod filter must not be of the oiled cotton type. which pretty much all filters are. so your not allowed to clean your air and cool it- one or the other buddy also im not sure that a front mount and exhaust would cause you to fail emmisions testing? i mean the cars basically stock. but you will need to have a plumb back bov. atmo valves have no value (aside from noise) anyway with a maf equipped car. and if yours is quiet ditch it and get a stockie cheers, Rowdy.
  8. this is ridiculously cool!
  9. ouch >.< sorry to hear mate, looks like a lot of time as well as a lot of money.
  10. who the hell is g-man??? and i'll admit its not an A grade resto... more of a D grade. D for deffered i'll come back to everything in a couple of years and do it all properly then. at the moment i really want to get the skyline back in the shed. man, its a wide engine bay, but not very long... ive seen the pictures, but im really not sure i cbf stuffing around with a long engine in there. and i hate autos SO; its been a while. and ive been doing a few things... i bought a 5spd gear box, a radiator and a set of extractors cost me 240 schmackos all up. Rad has a fresh core, extractors look almost new, and the gearbox... well its a 5spd ive been getting stuck into the body, and currently have the front guards, bonnet, doors, front valance thingy, and almost the boot ready for primer. there was rust in the doors, which was a bitch. but i did my best cutting it out and welding in new sections, and to be honest, im pretty bloody happy with the way theyve coming up. ive never done anything like this before, my only welding experience is industrial welding, mostly with an arc, stuff thats 3mm plus. so trying to weld .6mm sheet with my new tig was a bit of a learning curve there was a bit of a dint in the front left guard, and i pushed it out as much as i could, but the very front of the guard is sitting a little high still... so new guard, sometime in the future. and the front valance thing, down the bottom at the front, it has copped a fair hit at some point, at which time the previous owners bogged over the damage with nooo preparation at all. so i sanded and chipped all that off, rubbed it back bare and got the 'ol persuader onto it. came up a treat my mate simon came around to help block back a few panels (and knock back a few bundys) i got off my ass and drilled out a paint nozzle to 2mm for my spray putty gun, and bought another 125 buck compressor to tee into my existing one. i now get 242 ltrs of air a minute for 250 bucks, plus the hose from rydell not bad. this will do me for a while anyway. The car as it sits atm i also pulled all the wheels off to check bearings and brakes- they look brand new! so, score on that front. there is also no rust in the floorpan, or anywhere on the body of the car really(sill panels not including)- most of it was in the doors. im pretty happy about that i got my new carpet yesterday, and im actually really happy with it. the mould is pretty good, and i spent an hour today cutting holes for bolts and what not in it. it makes the car interior look like its on its way to being finished, and makes it a much nicer place to be. i was all set to install the new dashpad when i found i have misplaced a heap of nuts that hold the back of it down- doh! and theyre an odd thread, more of a screw thread. aghhrr, i'll find them. thats it for now, im flat out at work atm, and will be for another few weeks. hopefully the better weather on its way will also bring a coat of paint and also some fender mirrors! man i am so excited about them. so i leave you with a picture of socks on my sisters cat, as held by her boyfriend.
  11. hah ha thats mint, love it. dont know if it would work for me though... ive never tried to get out any fines ive been given... all one of them but my friend simon tried the 'ol crying gig, same thing as das kamu, copper got embarrassed and sent him home hah ha. only thing lost was pride
  12. thats a good looking car mate, great colour good luck, Rowdy.
  13. move your car somewhere else, and whoever parks there after you is probably the person who keyed your car- if your absolutely sure that it was the parking that was the issue. then slash tyres.
  14. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...Va-t328810.html i was thinking about using adaptor plates etc. etc. but this way seems the easiest. this is what im doing. but instead of directly welding the cut runners to the gtr manifold, im making a flange plate to weld to the cut runners, that will bolt to the gtr manifold. this way i can get in there with a die grinder and clean up any faults resulting from mismatched runners. i think your talking about doing the same thing, but adding in a longer straight section? so an extra spacer between the cut runners and the gtr plenum? im not going to use the itb's, i'll just get a plate welded on the front of the gtr manifold and run my stock tb.
  15. hah ha what ive told you is all i know sorry champ. im tipping you'll be there for a while with an orbital sander though. i think the diamond blade wet saw would be your best bet. or a combination of drilling, sawing and sanding have you tried being happy with the orange lenses?
  16. if the glass was tempered, when you drilled through the outer case of glass, which is under compression, the whole thing would have shattered because of the release of tension. also, it seems you need very high RPM for drilling through glass. 2,500-5,000 rpm. can your drill reach these speeds? and diamond tipped drill bits. hope that helps a little
  17. hey muff, yeah its all sweet man, for you they will probably replace your car with one of these: then you can do shizz like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RjMSWhGWak good luck brew, thanks for the lols
  18. hey mate plenty of places will do it cheap, but if you want a good job you'll have to pay the bucks. ... or do it yourself
  19. good one mate, lucky. i know a guy who has stolen a few cars over the years. scuuum. one story was: cut padlock on guys fence, at night, while everyone is sleeping, break into three cars that are in the driveway, blocking the one he actualy wanted to steal, roll all of those out onto the street, then break into final car, roll it a block away before starting and driving home. once home he and his crew would spend all night with the oxy, cutting up the car and just leaving the bits they wanted (grinders make noise that will wake up the nieghbours). whole things gone in a matter of hours. get a dog lol
  20. hah ha i was thinking 'why is it good for a car dealer to have a crack in his floor???' d/w, i gets it now +1 for not telling insurer. they are kahhhnnnss.
  21. the guy is genuinely trying to help waxer52... agreed, his description of goings on didnt make too much sense. but he has tracked waxer52 accross forums looking for him to let him know he replied to a post on a motorcycle forum which presumably waxer52 doesnt visit often. thumbs up yankee, thats dedication
  22. dude... has the car really done 1,300,000kms? im thinking closer to 130,000? might want to fix that before you scare a buyer away... good luck
  23. do it yourself ...but if your planning on painting it a darker colour, you had better be thorough with your prep work. here are some good sites that will help you out. http://users.chariot.net.au/~stmezz/paint.htm http://www.vgautopaints.com.au/begginers.htm http://autofix.com.au/blog/how-to-re-paint...r#comment-75099 if you want show quality probably pay someone with expeience and quality equiptment. otherwise give it a crack yourself, just be patient, methodical, and ask lots of questions. and then be patient some more and dont rush anything.
