  1. how far back does the turbo sit in the bay? mine is a trust manifold and a t04z and 4" dump pipe fits only just with abit of a squeeze so your turbo must be mounted really far back towards the firewall? china manifold i presume? i hear the 6boost manifolds are a good piece of gear and cheap as well for the quality u get and u know it will fit up without hassles.
  2. i'd be in for sure if the cars running fine still lol
  3. rb26 stagea is spot on, the conversion costs more than u imagine and a pain compared to the cost of just selling yours and buying a 260rs. Also if u want power then a bigger single is the go, the twins arnt needed at all and just create a cluttered engine bay. put a gt3040r or 3540r on your motor and get a manual conversion and associated parts and 400hp at wheels is achievable, and more if u rebuild the motor with some forgies.
  4. the traitormobile is lighter and has alot better average power/torque than the rb26 engines thats for sure, i know i own a 26 and they are alot different to the mitsubishis idea of a turbo engine which use tiny tiny responsive turbos. Mitchy the car looked great i like the shape better than the stagea to be honest I should be in for the xmas lights cruise if its gonna be planned as my car is running fine and should be run in and possibily tuned for nice power by then, and then ill show the traitormobile some taillights
  5. im using a gts4 one on my car now im 99.5% sure thats what its from, and they are the same as gtr ones, only the stagea ones are the smaller ones from what ive seen.
  6. they are both forum members cars, first one i dont know who exactly but the second one is Alex and he has been on here for years and one of the long time owners, but has since sold it and havent seen him on the forums much at all since
  7. well i got a 32 gtr axle here without the end u need but the rubber boot measures 105mm or so, so i'd say 100mm
  8. HAHA dale u are a crack up mate, hope to catch you down there if u still coming. Ill bring the second traitormobile and we can show some rb's what torque is i have info that Mitchy and Kylie are also coming along from what ive been hearing so add them to the list im starting up the stagea for the first time on saturday morning so i mayyyyy be able to bring it down on the lousy run in tune if im feeling confident with it lol
  9. bumpity bump any ideas on meetpoint location as yet Kirsty?
  10. hey darrin in that other thread with the s1 cradle pics i posted im only showing the bottom half of the cradle, usually its got a section that goes around the pump as well but it wont fit when using bigger pumps like 044 and 040, but it definately looks nuthin like your s2 one im pretty sure of that.
  11. interesting, thanks Duncan ive had the motor out a good 10 times and removing the front shaft on the drivers side is a pain in the arse and i might try your method next time (if there is a next time, i am hoping not, lol)
  12. double post whoops
  13. thats the 040 in the stock cradle and it fits perfect, just one or two hose clamps around it and it is a perfect and cheap solution
  14. i dont know if they need to be removed to do the cv boots but i do know how the shafts come out. both sides u need to take the top control arm off and steering rack arm and coilover off the strut, then u can lever the hub towards the outside of the car and that will allow enough room to get the spline from out of the brake hub (u gotta undo the big hub bolt first as its holding the shaft in and it will be bloody tight, best bet is a big socket set, i use a 3/4 inch set for this, or get a long breaker bar and it should do the trick). the drivers side is held into the front diff by just a spline that is a tight fit, u need 2 levers close to the sump/diff and lever the axle out as u pull it outwards and it will pop out. the passenger side is a flange to flange and 6 bolts need to be removed close to the sump and it will come off easy. hope it makes sense and gives u an idea of the job
  15. nice upgrade, i been planning this for mine in the near future. how much did u pay for it and where did u get it from? and do u have any pics of it? Im assuming its a full aluminium one? how thick are they? thanks
  16. nice car mate i bought driveshaft boots from nissan but cant remember prices, and i also have some rear camber noluethane (sp?) bushes from sydneykids group buy left over for sale, brand new in packaging and unused for $80 (sk sells em for $120 or so), i am also in perth so let me know if u are interested and i can bring them on the next cruise if u happen to attend? thanks
  17. not a skyline, it was a vl calais with rb26 and 360rwhp and it was useless for traction, i have plenty of mates with rwd cars and 350-450hp at wheels and they are useless from slow speeds against awd with similair power. I realise from 80kmh+ the 2wd will be ok but most runs are done from a stop or slow rolling speeds. different horses for different courses
  18. get an awd and when u want some drift action remove the front driveshaft (about a 10 min job and 4 bolts) and its ready to go I bought the stagea for the reason it had awd as i had big plans power wise and my last car with this engine in 2wd was a waste of time it was slower than cars with half the power lol
  19. haah Kylie buy a gto if u wanna reach the roof easy, its about level with my stomach and im only a short arse as u know haha :laughing-smiley-014:
  20. nice work Ken, what was the MPH do u now? and what is the power at that level of boost or dont u know? I also have the direct clutch twin plate hahaha, its noisy as hell as u said and also heavy but its sooo good on take off etc without the annoying on/off feel of most twin plates ive seen. It is very tough too handling my other car with drag slicks on and 8000rpm launches it would bog the engine down and not slip a fraction so its got some pressure behind it.
  21. that is one awesome r33 mate, the colour is brilliant and suits it well, well done.
  22. im not sure i know he rocked up with a blue series 7/8 rx7 with cf bonnet and didnt stay long, thats all as i didnt go and checkout the car up close (was watching the burnouts instead lol)
  23. thanks for the input fellas, sounds like an ally radiator is in order soon then to bling up the bay abit
  24. looks very pimpin now Kylie with it lowered, definately noticed when i installed my bilsteins the handling is absolutely incredibile and i couldnt believe a big heavy wagon could handle like it does you better be making an appearance at the next WA cruise with Mitchy so we can check it out
  25. hey Ken when u gonna take that beast down the strip? or dont u have any drags near you? Also the question from mystag260, there is a couple of things that make a car with that much power abit non street friendly for me anyway. Clutch on mine is rated for 800hp at wheels and its a twin plate but its sooo damn hard its annoying and it also rattles like shit when pressed in like most twin plates (though mine is alot noiser because it doesnt have springs in the plates holding them tight). Next is the exhuast is bloody loud and lumpy when idling so the car idles abit rough (big big lift cams) and deep deep note to it (not neighbour friendly ), though im only running 1 muffler and will be trying a 2nd one soon to shut it up. Thirdly is the fact ive spent soo much money on it i will not park it anywhere and leave it unattended at all so its useless as a daily for me. But i tell u as Psymin said, 600hp is absolutely crazy and with 4wd its incredible when taking off from lights if u give it some revs, i doubt any car on the road will touch it except a gtr with the same power. Any rwd car with same power would be slow as from low speeds.
