  1. I will look forward to the rebuild thread when the 10.25mm cams snap a few springs 260, 9.25 would be better suited. PS, what turbo?
  2. Love having a second car. Theres nothing like having a daily thats quiet, air conditioned, comfy and has a smooth ride. It makes it extra special when you jump into your other car that first time and start it up
  3. BTW ONLY 450hp on a T51R Were you thinking of longevity? haha
  4. My old setup; basic rb25det with basic mods, stock turbo on 10psi 253rwhp Mates setup; VVTi stock single turbo with same mods on 12psi = 235rwhp. Both cars dynoed ages ago at a dyno day, on the same dyno, 20mins apart.
  5. You have to hook it into the turbo oil drain hose. I have this kit on my car, just need to hook the hose in and i'll be sweet I believe your thinking of the driver side return because odds are if you bought the spool drain kit, they bought the spool sump ( im referring to your info that you looked up). I gave spool a buzz and asked about this drain return. I was told its just a "generic oil return"
  6. Saw this white fake gtr again at the plaza carpark. He was driving past with the window down. Pimpin with his mate with his straight pipes and cai intercooler hahaha. Said he had a nice fake gtr and his mate started laughing his ass off hahahahhaha. Poor fella. He then redlined his beasty up to the traffic lights. What.....a......beast
  7. Nope good product. Had mine for..4 years. Never had any leaking issues, afm issues or any other problems that commonly occur to skyricers with atmo bov's But for the love of God, remove the "tri fins", then it wont make that gay tweet tweet sound
  8. sell the gt35r. Grab something gt30 sized. If your one of those guys "ohh im going to forge it one day herp a derp a derrrppp". Keet the 35r
  9. Lol then Godspeed buddy. Make a project thread
  10. This! What is your budget? Your looking at an easy 10-15k plus the headwork and parts for the head. So let's say 20k-ish plus because you have to buy all the parts including the turbo. Still keen?
  11. 350hp at 12psi with a 5000rpm limit, run in tune. Very happy with it 
  12. You are in the same position i was in 6months ago. FYI Tomei also offer a 260d range with 9.25 and 10.25mm lift. Be very weary of the 10.25mm lift cams mate. As my motor was being built a friend was finishing up his build and put in the 270d, 10.25mm lift cams. He ended up breaking 3 of the tomei type b 10.25mm springs . So we decided to put the 260 9.25's in my car with the tybe b springs. So far no worries. Things I can tell you from building my head; Yes get oversized valves yes machine the head Yes you will need the type B springs yes you will NEED solid conversion unsure of shims (left that to the boys at the shop) Yes you will need intake and exhaust cam gears. (From memory you cant get procams with VCT? I couldn't at the time) Figure in ATLEAST $5000 for labour + parts Dont forget to run the camshafts in properly too. Instructions will be in the Tomei instructions manual
  13. Not too big at all, after all its not lag, its foreplay . Shoot anna a pm, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/user/30020-msnismo/ She built a t04z equipped 25. She was actually a great help to me deciding whether to go the z or the gt35 (the 35 won out in the end). She will help you, I would post up her build thread, but i cant seem to find it.
  14. My rebuilt 25 has 780kms on it, and its still running
  15. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL. Gotta say it before I get too messy to type
  16. WOW TITAN! I have a new forged engine. Just putting run in kms on it (700km atm). Hasn't used 1 drop
  17. Saw this sweet white r33 gtr on karawatha drive. Then i drove past it and saw no fmic and a big green P plate on the front window hahahahahah.
  18. Keen, need to put some run-in kms on the motor, so need some HILLS
  19. I'll pay that. I know i have a 25. But I have the 260d, 9.25mm lift cams. Has a rediculously lumpy idle, car shakes on idle too. They do perform well, but do bog down taking off at lights if you dont give it enough revs.
  20. If you go the plazzy, no. Stock is fine, they send you out a bracket for it. If you get one, specify that your using the stock t/v so you dont need to get an adapter or a larget t/b
  21. not 100% on if a plazzy will fit a neo. But if they do make them for the neo, a plazzy would be my choice. All you have to do is take off the top half of your stock intake manifold, and bolt up the plazzy. Alot easier than a GReddy style plenum. Plazmaman start at around $800-900 i think for the raw version.
  22. You can also get some machine shops to 'convert' your hydraulic head to a solid head. You dont need to buy this tomei gear if you dont want too. I got the hydraulic to solid conversion done in house.
  23. Oh I dont know mate. I made 350hp at 12psi with a 5000rpm limit. Where as on old engine with same turbo etc without headwork/cams, i made that at 16psi at 8000rpm. If you have the money, you will see the gains
