  1. I have a load of larger pics, just impossible to upload them at a slow internet kiosk. I'll post them later.
  2. The R35 GT-R was officially launched today 9am at a presentation at the Melbourne International Motor Show by Nissan Australia CEO Shinya Hannya. The presentation mentioned that the GT-R was to be expected in early 2009. No word on pricing yet though. Unlike many of the US motorshows media and invited guests were able to get quite hands on with the car and sit in it etc. Hopefully this continues for the rest of the motorshow. More @ http://www.gtrblog.com/
  3. I'll be there at 7am with the media and such... Hopefully the hot women wake up early for the press...
  4. I'm not studying writing though. Just conversational. This term is getting good though as the class has a higher percentage of people who aren't retards.
  5. Yeah. Different venue now but same sensei. What level is in April?
  6. In my Jap class this term is the guy who's doing the graphics work on it when it lands... small world.
  7. It's no huge secret. I've had my inbox stuffed full of pics for a week now and i wish a certain someone would stop making me jealous.
  8. To their credit the Americans will most likely come up with a whole aftermarket themselves making parts for the R35 cheaper and more available. With the free trade agreement between Australia and the US, plus the strong Aussie dollar, plus the lower starting price for US made parts it's going to mean good things to the Australia GT-R owners.
  9. I think you'll find that the Jap's are taking the more sane route of basic upgrades to extract what they can from standard and then figuring out their options from there. Pulling the engine straight out when there is 0 development hours spent on the car in one piece is not something i would do personally. Anyway the reason these guys pulled the engines out is to import them across the border into Canada from the US. This is apparently the only way to do it with the car being reassembled once it gets to Canada.
  10. That's what he said and that's what happened!
  11. This is possibly what they did.
  12. So what's the first thing you do with your new R35 GT-R. Take it to the track? Do laps down George st? Apparently they pull things apart in the US... Don't really know why yet... http://www.stillensucks.com/kevin/kevinsr35pics/ edit: Anyway the reason these guys pulled the engines out is to import them into California. This is apparently the only way to do it with the car being reassembled once it gets there.
  13. There is one at Melbourne International Motor Show.
  14. I took a chinese one off and fitted a Trust one. The difference is mainly in the fittings (earls fittings in trust kits) and lines. The lines are the correct length for the application and are supplied with wrapping so they don't saw through your panels. The brackets are also obviously designed to be bolt on. The core itself it probably from the same manufacturer in china.
  15. Now that you mention it... it does seem like a facsimile of the Clarkson 34 review...
  16. The parts aren't carbon to begin with.
  17. I think a number of systems are interchangeable between GTR and GTS-t. The Kakimoto lists one part number for both.
  18. HKS Silent Power and Kakimoto Regu 06&R are pretty good choices. The Kakimoto is quieter. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Qu...ew-t185910.html
  19. It's sold and is now overseas. None in Australia.
  20. The R33 GTR was a giveaway in that weeks show. You know how they give away a car every week. Anyways a better quality version is on my blog now, Youtube was pretty lousy for quality: http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...p;tb=1&pb=1
  21. Here's a better quality link: http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...p;tb=1&pb=1 edited for updated link.
  22. Yeah extremely boring review... very typical...
  23. I'm downloading it now. Not via a torrent though. I'm going to edit it and upload to youtube asap but there might be a torrent out before I'm done as my work link is so f'ing slow.
  24. The Nur's are identifiable via the VIN chassis number which you can lookup in a reference database called Nissan FAST. This is not an online service it's a dealership software thing which a couple of people on the forum have access to. The Nismo's will have build plates depending on what exactly is Nismo about them. If it's just a Nismo aero kit then no build plate will be affixed as it is not a nismo vehicle. Nismo fit build plates to S-Tune, R-Tune and Z-Tune cars that are completed in their workshops only. Each of the engines will also have a seperate build plate to identify the specifications and build number. The Nismo car you linked to has had an S1 package added aftermarket by Omori factory in Japan and that's why it has the build plate as such: These are not rare in Japan but very few make there way to Australia as it's difficult to comply them. As for the Nur you linked, it is most definitely a genuine Nur.
