  1. I'm not 100% sure but i think the robot from lost in space is trying to break into that porsche.
  2. You're not wrong. But its not what people are doing in this instance. There is another way to get a car in that does not rely on any of this. The proof will be in the pudding once the car is wearing a NSW license plate. I cannot say what exactly the requirements are because i am not an expert. Just going off what I've been told there is not an 18 month wait involved in this case. Nor is there a 12 month personal import taking place.
  3. Not news. Your source is about as reliable as the national enquirer. Merged with the old V-Spec thread.
  4. Well the legislation is quite clear in this regard. I am reading the doco now and im suprised I missed this earlier. There wont be a lot of these coming in but a few lucky people can and will get them on the road soon.
  5. 100% not nissan
  6. When the work is done, a certain someone will post on here to dispel the rumors. It's very exciting. Some of what has been said is true and some is not true but rumors don't hurt anyone! The people who are bringing this car and others like it in are doing a great thing for the Aussie GT-R crowd who are actually keen on buying one. Can't wait till the details are out in the open.
  7. I retract my statement. I'm writing a cheque.
  8. Have you never seen a racing harness before?
  9. Update and photos from Osaka Automesse courtesy of GTR-World.net. Probably the most interesting news is Mine's carbon bits are on the car (minus the carbon mirrors?) and the worlds first R35 GT-R ashtray modification (WTF!?) Update and story with pics at http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...pdates-and-phot More pics including SuperGT GT500 GTR at http://www.gtr-world.net/photogallery/even...messe-cars.html
  10. Omori Factory has changed a lot lately. Unless you have an appointment with someone there is very little to do there. That being said last time I was there in January I did spot an R34 Z-Tune which seemed to be having rear suspension problems so the poor mechanic had to drive it around a lot , also the new Nismo 380RS 3.8 litre stroked 350Z was there being prepared for TAS. Then they rolled out the SuperGT 500 350Z from 2007 season to put it in a truck for transportation. That was fun to see three dudes just pushing a GT500 car around trying not to scrape it on the driveway. We just got lucky. Usually though you'd be lucky to see whatever car they have in the showroom. Aaanyways, when I went there in July 05 I was invited to look around in their garage where I snapped a few photos of the R1 R33 but unfortunately it was packed into a tight garage so not great photos.
  11. Yeah theres a load of this information already in this subforum. I guess it'd be nice to put it all in one place though... Might add my stuff when i get time.
  12. I wouldn't use octane boost .. I'd rather not have that in my motor after seeing the dirty stains it left through my last GTR's head. Maybe its just cosmetic but even so. The 34 GTR stock ECU will probably pull timing on you even when you are driving around normally. When I had even a slightly bad batch of 98 in my 34 it would pull timing quickly after driving for a little while and would leave it retarded until you switched the car off and back on. This happened more than once so i correlated the occasions to a particular servo and avoided that from then on. Don't load it up and fill the tank with better fuel when you can next.
  13. ok so i uploaded it to youtube... Sorry about the shaky camera ...
  14. He made a mistake. The R35 GTR peaks at 0.7bar. Around 10.5psi. (I think he added the other half a bar from what he had in his pants) I made a quick video of the MFD in full screen boost gauge mode while i ran up through a few gears but i cant be bothered to upload it... Just take my word for it
  15. I would have thought you of all people would know the story. Top Gear has been around for a very long time. Since 1977. I still have episodes from the 1980's kicking around. Tiff split away from Jeremy to start 5th gear on channel 5 in 2002. Anyways Top Gear is funnier than 5th Gear while 5th Gear has better drivers. I just watch both but Top Gear usually keeps me entertained more.
  16. Book Garden Life Kiosk to be more precise.
  17. Nissan North America haven't really said that. They said they will vet all US GT-R purchases and offer "counsel" on excessive markups but there is no way to police excessive markups as side deals with shady dealerships and desperate punters. Most people in the industry in the US are still expecting markups, perhaps not $30k+ markups but they will still be paying more than MSRP.

    R35 Front End Swap

Painful to say, but it looks good.
  19. I once zip tied a 2JZ head to my RB26 block so i could get it home. I used duct tape as well though.
  20. You're doing about 190km/h indicated at approx 6000 rpm in 4th. The limiter is 7x00 rpm in a 35. I just watched my video of myself doing it again to make sure.
  21. In a standard GTR it is not possible to reach the limiter in 4th. You're at 180 before your close to the redline.
  22. Um.. ever tried to reverse park an r34 GTR at night with factory tint...
  23. Lol.. that sounds exactly like Adam after I drove the 35 GTR... how does it feel to be on the other side of this Adam? Ignore the doubters
