  1. Second one is a GT500 race queen. Perhaps you caught the gay recently? Then again living in Japan you are a bit spoiled as the general population of women is quite cute on average. I wouldn't call these girls butt ugly though.
  2. Ok finally done with the gallery/blog update with this car. 40+ photos of the car and models after the link from the story: Click: http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...p;tb=1&pb=1
  3. This is already done... and it makes baby jesus cry....
  4. Sneak peak of my pics im uploading right nowish: OK took the pics off here now you gotta go to here to see them http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...p;tb=1&pb=1
  5. Test cars are already here. One particular RAWS has 2 cars... http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...p;tb=1&pb=1
  6. Yep they're all there. In the flesh though that one was the least attractive a few of us agreed on that.
  7. Yep. They're 8,000 - 10,000 yen (about $80-$100 AUD) a piece depending on the one you want. I have the pricing catalog I will get some pics of it and upload it later. I bought the second one down for 8,000 yen from Ginza Nissan Gallery. Something you can't tell in the pictures though is how heavy they are. They are all made with solid steel backings and weigh a huge amount for a small keyring which makes you feel a little better about parting with $80 for a keyring. Not much better but anyways... My new keyring: My new wallet: Click here for the other pics of these two.
  8. Yes. Not sure why you would start a thread about this and i'm going to merge it with this thread in a little while but yeah the new GTR actually does trounce all but the best sorted Skylines out on the road today. You're going to need a well setup GTR over 500 hp with a decent work in handling and brakes to come close to a R35 on the track unfortunately.
  9. Ya. DCD from the UK forums tried to tell Top Secret about the spelling error but there's not much they can do in the midst of Auto Salon so it went on show exactly like that. Except with more hotties standing on it posing. Pics in a sec.
  10. Unlikely they would do that for the foreseeable future as Z-Tune really does mean the final tune they will do for a car. Give it 6-7 years maybe.
  11. Lot's of 35's running around with 35 number plates. You're right though it's not the Top Secret 35. Top Secret's 35 is now all stickered up and wears 20" GT-C's. Here's another "35" 35 I saw in Akihabara yesterday arvo driving around. Prefecture was too blurry to read in my original photo tho. Camera phone.
  12. Thanks mate, and thanks to everyone who posted comments. I had a blast driving the 35 in Tokyo kind of a dream come true in a way. As for selling the 34 for the 35, Shin (owner of the 35) had a 34 GTR making 600ps at all four and says the 35 is faster and better in almost every way. Some people are saying that the 34's are a more fun car to throw around for the driving experience but the 35's are better in other respects. For the bowsers, yeah guess I never filled up my rental cars in big cities I guess always in small towns or PA's where normal bowsers are found and just never paid attention.
  13. Yep I can confirm that the Mine's ECU upgrade can most definitely remove the speed cut. You need to send off your 35's ECU in an exchange but it can be done in a week turnaround. Other tuners say they have ECU upgrades as well but didn't see the actual product on display or get any real indication on availability like we did for Mine's. Probably didn't ask the right people.
  14. Met up with my friend Shin-san on Friday night after Tokyo Auto Salon who I had asked for a ride to Daikoku-futo Parking Area, a well known hang out for fast cars about 40 minutes out of Tokyo. I knew he had an R35 GTR but I hadn't seen it yet. We met at 9pm in Shibuya and I was in awe to see the new GTR parked downstairs when he came to pick me up. I got in and was instantly impressed with the car. I had sat in many R35's before but sadly none of them were running at the time, Ginza Gallery and Auto Salon cars only. The rattle of the clutches and the quiet burble of the twin turbo V6 had me anticipating great things of the night ahead. Inside of course is full of gadgets and I was quickly playing with the MFD while Shin navigated some tight streets with construction zones to get some fuel closer to the freeway. The touch screen is a great setup and is a lot easier to use than the R34 GTRs button layout. Navigation is also built in and will automatically flip between navigation and MFD when the next turn is approaching. While this was happening though I didn't even notice the bumpy city streets and the ride was a lot nicer than I had expected after reading some of the Australian motoring journo's feedback. I can only wonder if they knew how to put the car into comfort mode or if they were just blindly driving it in R-Mode... Nothing is perfect however and the navigation system got us lost when it guided us to a closed down fuel station. A few turns later we were in Roppongi and decided to block traffic for an impromptu photo. With that out of the way we could get some fuel nearby at a local Jomo station. Interestingly the bowsers are located in the roof here to save space on the ground. While filling up I got a good feel for the aesthetics of this car. It is a premium package in dark grey completely stock with all options minus the rear view camera. The big giveaway is the drilled brake rotors. The interior is black leather and is amazing to sit in and smell. The car is big and imposing and gets a lot of looks on the street. When we got done there I got a pretty big shock when Shin handed me the attractive looking GTR keyfob and let me take the wheel. I quickly took him up on it before he could change his mind but as soon as I did so I had a nagging doubt on just how the hell I was going to back this brand new R35 GTR out into Tokyo traffic. That quickly passed though as I realised that this new GTR is actually a amazingly easy car to drive. Large rear view side mirrors and actually useable rear view mirror inside help. Unlike both the 33 and 34 GTR which suffer due to the wing elements - adjust them at all and bye bye rear vision. Then there's the lack of a big heavy clutch making everyday tasks so easy - you really can daily drive this thing. I started off in auto mode and barely drove the thing at all. Lots of traffic lights made getting used to the car easier as I had a decent amount of time. Before long though I switched to manual mode where it stayed the rest of the night. The gearbox really is a dream. Everything people have been saying about it is true. Blasting up through gears in R-mode or sedately potting around town in regular mode changes are swift and smooth and you're never off boost if your pushing it through a gear change. Down shifts are fun too and I was constantly looking for places to shift down. Hearing that V6 motor blip it's own throttle to shift down a gear is like listening to great music. As for how it goes in a straight line. Fast. Never driven anything quicker. It just pulls and pulls and pulls. Even when you think it really shouldn't be fast it is. Say 5th gear doing 100 on the freeway touch the throttle and instantly you feel good torque, nothing like driving an previous GTR. 3rd gear out of a toll booth, foot to the floor, back wheels lose traction for a tiny fraction (snow tires were fitted to this car) of a second and away you go. Left to it's own devices the GTR will shift up at the optimal RPM point but this can be turned off. The only complaint is that it's over so quickly. The car will hit it's 180km/h speed limiter so quickly that it seems to spoil the fun almost before it's started. Around corners the car felt exceedingly well planted. Body is flat through fast turns and inspires a lot of confidence. There's just not enough corners around for me to really push it through but what I did I loved. Anyways we eventually arrived at Daikoku PA where we found a friend to park next too. We hung around checking out cars at Daikoku until midnight when the police kicked everyone out as they do and Shin let me drive the GTR back to Shibuya taking the Wangan Freeway. The car is a real gem and I don't know how I can go back to my GTR now i've driven one.

    Number Plates

Got some of those today. Too expensive but i impulse bought R33 and GTR ones. Oh well.
  16. I don't need to elaborate for you. I have the video of me driving over rainbow bridge back into tokyo etc. Lol. As well as all the UK forum blokes who quite clearly saw me driving the thing out at Daikoku PA. I just happen to know a very nice guy who has a one and he let me drive for a couple of hours, can't see whats so hard to believe about that. Although I admit it is a good story and I still have adrenalin in my system. Thing goes like an absolute rocket ship. Just can't believe how it pulls from any gear. 5th gear on the freeway. No problem. Slight application of the throttle and away you go. 3rd gear out of the ETC lane tollbooth and bam you're pinned back in your seat for the run up through into 4th where the fun stops unfortunately. Car is quiet and comfortable on the street and found the paddle shifts really easy to get used to. Comf mode on the suspension makes the city streets feel great. Leg room in the back is a bummer when your a reasonably tall guy like Ando is but he didn't complain since he got his first ride in a 35 gtr too. Was the best night i've had in Tokyo this time by far and i'll be sporting a semi for the next few days i think......
  17. Dunno how you can say it looks flat. It's one of the least flat colours i could imagine. I dunno maybe you just need a better pic of it.
  18. And the 35 is amazing...
  19. You musta just missed me and A31Deviat. Nick didn't make it unfortunately. Bit unfortunate for him though really since I got to drive the 35 GTR from Shibuya to Daikoku and back lol.
  20. The orange one looks amazing in the flesh. The quality of the paint is superb. Car was stripped and done right. Sat in it today and man those recaros are comfy.
  21. No point. As Nick already said it has the speed limiter in place and is hitting it before half way down the main straight. Obviously times will be less than the car will achieve once it has the speed cut defeated.
  22. Thanks man, I figured out where Vanilla is... Roppongi... We are planning on hitting it up Friday night so i'll call you if i have trouble. We have some pretty awesome tour guides over here though To bad you couldn't make it... Right now we'd be drinking tequila shots in Roppongi.....
  23. haha yeah... we are joking about gas panic - it's a massive pile of shit... but then every one of these poofs piked tonight except Ando-san but we have big plans for tomorrow night so maybe an early one will do me good.
  24. Dunno but there is this GTR poster in the Top Secret office
  25. Ya.. Was also at Top Secret today with Nick... Got another nice photo of the GTR rockin the GT-C's, new lip and new seats. TAS here we come.... After lots more beers tonight though... Gas Panic desu ne. Bigger Pics @ gtrblog.com
