  1. +1 GT-RS's and 2530's.
  2. Your turbos are definitely NOT steel wheeled. As for raising boost. I ran a single solenoid Greddy Profec B Spec 2 or something on my 34 GTR with not too much drama. Very cheap EBC that one and if installed and setup properly will do a fine job.
  3. The R34 GTR does not come with a boost restrictor and because of this runs a bit more boost in standard trim from the factory. With a cat back exhaust and a good cat you will see you'll be running about 1 bar with the standard setup. The R34 turbos are ceramic exhaust wheel but they seem less prone to failure than the older turbos. They are ball bearing for a start so aren't so reliant on oil pressure to keep them from exploding. In fact too much oil pressure is a bad thing which is why they have restrictors in the oil lines.
  4. FYI they also fit R32 GTST
  5. All GTR (32,33,34) turbos are ceramic exhaust wheel. R34 GTR turbos are ball bearing.
  6. I had this exact Trust front/dump setup on my R34 GTR. I didn't really like it in the end. The quality is fine but its the logistics of using the Trust items which is the painful part. It makes the engine a bitch to put back in if you fit them while the engine is out. If you're going to track the car, pulling the engine out to fit baffles in the sump is almost mandatory. It comes too close to the firewall and you lose your aircon rubber outlet hose because it touches. They make changing O2 sensors next to impossible on the car. On my current GTR i've decided to ditch the whole split pipe idea and have got Tomei dumps. The quality on the Tomei items is an order of magnitude better than the Trust pipes. If you're only going for 300kw then split pipes aren't going to make much of a difference in my opinion. As for your original question - you need the R34 GTR one without the exhaust temp sensor bung (11920301 BNR34) since you have a non-vspec. I bought the wrong ones originally and had to pay $40 to get the sensor bung welded on mine. Oh wells. If you do buy these - my advice is to exhaust wrap the whole lot. The temps on the track can get really high back there.
  7. No real tangible reasons. It's just not for me and I can't see myself ever putting in the effort to have a 26/30. To those who done it, good work. I'm quite happy with a standard displacement engine.
  8. One is a standard front bar and the other is dealer option or aftermarket front bar by Nismo. The difference is the Nismo bar has larger air ducts and an air outlet for the Nismo oil cooler location. The Nismo bar also has a protruding nose lip. There is another Nismo front bar which is getting more common in Japan which is the fiberglass Z-Tune copy bar. The difference between a non-Vspec and a V-Spec, V-Spec II, M-Spec, front end is the lowest lip section which is not present on the non-Vspec.
  9. I'll be there at the chase to catch up with people. Not 100% on the cruise. My car is now too low to drive as I just put my new Tein's in but the spanners are still on the way from Japan. That being said, im sure i can fix that before the 23rd.

    Yahoo Japan

Well Yahoo have gone and turned away more customer's with their bizzare policies. They no longer accept foreign credit cards to sign up for new auction accounts and old auction accounts can not change to foreign credit cards either. Making it harder on Aussies.
  11. No they don't have VCT either. Where do people hear these crazy things?
  12. HKS no longer sell a Step 1 2.8l kit. Step 3 or nothing anyway. You might find a Step 1 second hand or old stock but people snap them up from what i've seen. Also you can have a brand new HKS V-Cam system landed for well under $4k forget that $8k price tag. Still mega dollars though. I personally wouldn't touch a 26/30 hybrid with ten 10 foot poles joined together. A lot of other guys will say the exact opposite though and love them to bits. Each to their own.
  13. 4.7million yen is barely a price drop at all. This is the mark they've been selling at for the past 4 years. The only reason they're getting cheaper here is the exchange rate. That GTR that was linked to is probably grade R and they were probably finding it difficult to get rid of.
  14. WAIT WAIT HOLD PRODUCTION. INTERNET FORUM USER FINDS FLAW IN NISSAN DESIGN. Back to the drawing board everyone...
  15. Must be school holidays in epolly land again...
  16. Yes this is obvious but thanks for posting it. All I'm saying is to say a carbon fibre bonnet is illegal is not correct. To suggest a carbon fibre bonnet cannot be as strong or crash as safely is another falsity as Nissan would not be able to sell them otherwise.
  17. It's incorrect to say that a bonnet is illegal simply because it is made from carbon fibre. If this was true how could all the R34 GTR V-Spec II's with carbon bonnets from the factory be roaming the streets. Is a carbon bonnet illegal because it shatters? What about a carbon roof like in the new M3? Wouldn't that also pose some crazy risk in a rollover... Please link to the relevant legislation saying that bonnets made from carbon fibre are illegal.
  18. I don't think anyone claims that. The reason people go for splitfires is the price. They are half as expensive as new coils, bolt straight in and are brand new versus your 10+ year old coils.
  19. If you can't get a stocker, try a Kakimoto 06&R exhaust. It's about as quiet as a stocker.
  20. This front bar.
  21. It's a series 1 with a series 2 sedan front bar.
  22. Catco metal cat.
  23. Rolling guards wont get you 30mm. You need to install some flares or flare your guards. Either option requires significant work with painting involved and a big change to the look of your car. Just to fit some wheels.
  24. They are not bolt ons for RB25. Still for sale.
