  1. There is no way. VIN numbers do not match to engine numbers in FAST.
  2. Well im sitting in one right now as they also sell the same seats as office chairs. Great seats very comfy. So comfy my fiance made me buy her one for the home office. I believe they're contagious, everyone who sees my study wants one...
  3. While I agree with you completely you seem to have ended up in the stupid category by yourself with this post. Read the original post. He's asking why there's only half a ring under his oil cap. Anyway this is 100% normal for an Rb25. See this pic.
  4. The Varex muffler is exactly that - a muffler. It can be fitted to any exhaust by an exhaust shop.
  5. Standard 34 GTR's look like a cops ass and have a less resale value. The first question all buyers asked me was "is it a REAL vspec". And in my opinion the 34 GTRs dont look right without that front lip and since the V-Spec's and V-Spec II's outnumber the standard GTRs in production numbers it should be pretty easy to get a V-Spec that fits you. Aftermarket dash = no idea how many km's the car has done. At least if its the original dash you have a small chance of knowing the real km's.
  6. No. Don't post if you don't know what you're talking about. As for the differences, the major difference is that the V-Spec II is a newer car. There is next to nothing separating them except the mentioned cosmetics. Even the CF bonnet saves next to no weight over the standard aluminum item. Base your decision on which car is better overall and not on what the plastic sticker on the back says. This is what the price difference is based on. I have owned an R34 GTR V-Spec and highly recommend buying a V-Spec over a standard GTR though as the cosmetic differences are pretty major, front lip, rear diffusuer make a big difference. Oh and yes ALL R34 GTRs have Getrag 6 speeds.
  7. Yeah - 30+ people starts getting difficult to organise... Still i'll probably be there since I did sign up for the meat...
  8. bummer
  9. wow... i'll have to think about that. Chicken or beef... feel like i'm at my year 6 formal...
  10. You will receive a parcel in the mail with the tax paperwork from customs including the EMS consignment note copy. Then you must employ a customs broker.
  11. My advice is to not listen to your friend because he doesn't know what he's talking about. Nor do some people in this thread so far. The V-Spec's have a few cosmetic upgrades which make the cars look far better (front lip, rear carbon diffuser), it also has active LSD and an upgraded 4WD computer. There are some other minor differences such as intake and exhaust temp readings on the MFD but not much. ALL 34 GTR's have brembos. V-Spec's may have slightly firmer suspension but there's barely a difference there. V-Spec II's have a factory fitted carbon fibre bonnet, firmer suspension again, slightly larger rear rotors and all the V-Spec upgrades. My advice is to: - Buy the latest model V-Spec or V-Spec II you can afford, avoid the standard GTRs - Avoid cars with GPS as it adds useless dashboard item which will never be able to be used in Australia - If you're buying locally, look out for lots of rust on the underbody - Avoid cars with aftermarket dash clusters
  12. Take the coil cover off and check to make sure there's no puddle of water collected there.
  13. There's one in Chatswood but to be honest these are really crap and wouldn't take my car through one as they just don't get dirt off.
  14. happy b'day Corinne.
  15. oh and i made my own Dynamat application tool from a tiny paint roller and a rubber door stopper from bunnings which cost about $4 because I couldn't find any proper tools. Works great.
  16. I just put some Alpine 6.5" type-R splits in the front of my R33 (well the drivers side so far) as well as sound deadening the inside and outside. The Alpine Type-R woofers fit perfectly in the factory pods which was a nice timesaver. Sound deadening is a bastard of a job.
  17. only $19 shipping. Bargain.
  18. I'd pick the JJR ones over the Splitfires for the local warranty. Unless you're buying splitfires locally I guess but they're going to be over $500.
  19. This happened to me. Did all the usual checks and found no problems. Turned out to be a really weak seal on the dipstick. It was very very loose so I got a new one and it never happened again.
  20. This might be true on an R32 GTR but the airbox developed quite a bit in the 33 and 34 GTR.
  21. So spill what you know on the new GT-R already...
  22. 1. I drove mine 1400km from Adelaide to Sydney and had no problems. Make sure you don't pick a loud exhaust though or it quickly gets tiring to listen to. 2. If left stock and well maintained they last forever. 3. Be gentle with it till the oil temp meter starts moving and you'll be fine. They like a bit of petrol in city traffic though.
  23. Part numbers and costs as follows: Injector O-Rings SEAL-O RING NI-16618-78A00 $7.40 ea x 6 = $44.40 Injector seals INSULATOR-INJECTOR NI-16635-78A00 $10.39 ea x 6 = $62.34 Injector seals INSULATOR NI-16636-V5000 $4.18 ea x 6 = $25.08 All prices are trade. Add a little bit for retail prices.
  24. there are 1100 smarties in the jar
