  1. Oh work movements.... At first I thought you send pending bowel movements...
  2. I'm in for this. Kinda over the politics and need to just go to a dinner and talk about cars and eat meat. See you there!
  3. All R33 GTS25t's are type-M. You cannot have a non type-M R33 GTS25t.
  4. One of these with the 4.5 litre stroker twin turbo kit please.
  5. Yep, after doing some searches. The intake manifold gauge is suitable only for NA cars whereas the "Turbo" gauge is for forced induction applications.
  6. Because low oil pressure is a hell of a lot more pressing problem than low manifold pressure and indicates a serious problem such as oil pump failure, oil surge etc. Something you'd be really keen to playback after a hot lap. Besides the manifold pressure gauge is for a NA car if i am not mistaken.
  7. I wouldn't do this unless you're going to install an expensive wideband O2 sensor.
  8. Pics of the Kakimoto Regu 06&R on my car:
  9. I highly recommend doing less disneyland and more local / cultural things unless you are taking your kids. Those places are the absolute last thing I would recommend when traveling as they are akin to opening your wallet and letting homeless people kick you while stealing all your money. Unless you've been there and done it all before.
  10. I had a JJR on my R32. Was a great exhaust and not extremely loud. Good note when giving it some.
  11. Not a fan of those fully sic chromies... How do you get this car over speed bumps..... I must be getting old...
  12. There are a million ways but I guess if you're not very astute yeah you could go straight to the VIN number stamped on the firewall. If it doesn't begin with BCNR33 then it's not a GTR.
  13. As some of the NSW people know I recently got myself another GTR, an R33 this time. It came with an over the top 5zigen exhaust the previous owner fitted which turned out to be a straight through job with no cat at all. Needless to say this was LOUD, illegally so and a defect magnet. I decided this needed to go before I attracted the wrong kind of attention from the defect squad so headed on down to Just Jap in my lunch hour to see what they had. I heard from the guys that this Kakimoto Regu 06&R is supposed to be a very quiet exhaust while still being large in diameter and not restrictive so I went for it. I also fitted a Catco Stainless hi-flow 3" cat at the same time to keep myself legal as far as emissions go. When looking for an exhaust it is sometimes hard to know how one will differ from the others as they're all very similar in looks which is why I decided to make this thread to offer an opinion on this exhaust which someone might find useful if they need something less noisy. Thats the exhaust, what you see is what you get. It is extremely good looking in the flesh, made in Japan, perfect welds and quality stainless with a titanium look tip. Gaskets are supplied as well as the required bolts. The sections are held together by 4 bolts as opposed to the 2 normally used in catback exhausts. The exhaust fits up nicely using all the factory hanger locations and sits exactly where it should in the middle of the opening in the rear bar. This helps a lot when you consider a lot of cheap exhausts can hang low or hang off fewer number of hangers which shortens the rubber hangers lifespan. My 5zigen exhaust for example was on only 2 hangers. Overall impressions when I first started it was amazing. It's the same as a stock exhaust when idling as far as noise goes with a nice growl as revs build. dB wise i bet this wouldn't even come close to the 90 dB limit so another plus. This kind of exhaust is exactly what you want if you have to drive your car long distances and hate the drone. As for restriction, well I felt the car perform no differently with the Catco 3" cat + Kakimoto combination than it did with the No cat + 5zigen straight through. This is most likely because my front pipes are standard and both exhausts are adequate for this setup. As far as comparisons go, it is about the same as the Trust Power Extreme II exhaust idling while maintaining a quieter engine note as revs build. The benefits over the Trust are that it appears to be made of higher grade stainless giving it a more solid look and feel. Anyways, please feel free to offer any of your experiences with this exhaust. If you're wanting to buy a quiet exhaust then I recommend checking out the Aussie Kakimoto dealer Just Jap or the thread in the trader section with pricing.
  14. You were in the left lane? He wanted you to move out of the left lane? What a butthole.
  15. pizza there is good. A lot of people will remember this place as "oh that place Steve didn't book that time!"
  16. Clip part number is 65846-30F00 "CLIP-INSULATOR". I have some brand new trim clips laying around in my garage if you want to see if they'll fit.
  17. Oil pressure sensors on R32's die a lot. And they usually misbehave intermittently before completely dying. My old R32 did this. An R32 i recently drove did this. A friends R32 does this. I think there's even a group buy thread for oil pressure senders from Nissan. I wouldn't be too worried about it but get a new sender.
  18. I knitted one from cashmere but it kept getting lint on my engine covers. Don't recommend it.
  19. Unless you're replacing the fuel rail I'd stick with the Nismo. Of course it is unlikely you actually need a FPR.
  20. About $350. New they are much more expensive.
  21. That's exactly what I thought he meant too...
  22. You need S1 cams. It seems 98 models are pretty much the only one's that need S2 cams. If you get the wrong cams you will either need to send them back or get a new CAS which is expensive.
  23. Another pic
  24. That I might actually *drive* it... we shall see... 34 sat in the garage up to 6 weeks in a row. Car needs new turbos before I will thrash it too much tho. Standard GTRs feel so slow.
  25. Yep. I know. I much prefer the standard black. I will get around to that but it isn't the first mod. I had to put a new headunit in it already which i managed in the car park of a Strathfield car radios in Adelaide in about an hour. Personal best for installation time. Thank god the Japanese owner had used the right harness adaptor.
