    New Gtr Scoop!

Corvette has had a T56 6-speed manual mounted to the rear axle since 1997

    R32 Vs R35

I bet Nissan tucked launch control away somewhere in the R35's ECU like BMW did with the E46 M3.
  3. Carbon ones gone. Still got 2 standard sets.
  4. I'd have fitted them already. Let me know if you need o-rings
  5. As already stated that is a massive joke. It is a 10 minute job once on the hoist. Might take a little longer if they need to wait for your exhaust to cool down but that is not labour.
  6. I've already seen this discussion on another forum... You can see them put the tyres on in their video. They are Bridgetstone RE070 tyres. The same tyres they supply with the GTR from the dealer. Why would they use anything else?
  7. Australian motoring "journalism" has been this way for years and will continue to be this way. It's the "bare minimum" approach to research whereby rumours are treated as facts and opinions are reality.
  8. These are all on the Nissan Press website already: http://press.nissan-global.com/NISSANGTR/E...otographs2.html
  9. For most things I only take my cars to Grey Imports in Annandale. Just picked up my GTR from there today in fact after Nathan had done a few things for me and will take it back again next time. I know many of the other GTR owners I speak to daily will drive all the way across Sydney to get their cars fixed at his workshop. Nathan also has another workshop at Mt White which he works at Fridays. Nathan owns GTRs and there are always GTRs in his workshop.
  10. Well no GTR ever came with twins at the front. I think you might mean 4 pot fronts and twin rears.
  11. Not to be rude back but the going rate is 2k with no tyres in random condition. These ones have decent rubber and a unique look and it is certainly worth more than 2k.
  12. PowerFC D-Jetro? No. You want a standard PowerFC. The D-Jetro is for people who replace their AFM's with MAP sensors and this is not something you want to do on your car. Maybe if you were chasing 900awhp From those mods you will pickup a little hp from the ECU mostly. Don't bother replacing the dumps the R34 GTR dumps are great and stainless from the factory, you don't need to change these until you do the turbos. Plus they come with great heat shields to keep the heat inside the exhaust improving engine bay temps and exhaust gas flow. Also - to be honest - I wouldn't buy cam gears. The simple reason is you will probably want cams down the track and it is cheaper to buy the cams and cam gears in a set from Tomei. So my advice is, - standard PowerFC - These are cheap as chips for BNR34 - New big Catco metal cat - $440 from JustJap - Cat back exhaust - Kakimoto or HKS - Front pipes - HKS Any more than that and you will need a new clutch, Nismo Super coppermix twin plate is the only one to get imo - $2k mark. Then later do turbos(HKS), cams+gears(tomei), dumps(tomei) and go nuts
  13. Buyer fees in Japan are typically 90,000 - 100,000 yen not 160,000 yen. For 160,000 yen they would need to be doing more than just buying for you they would need to be giving an inspection worth a damn which a LOT of them don't and won't and can't. As for reliability, my 34 GTR (stock and after modifications when it was making 300awkw) was the most reliable car I ever owned and was never once off the road for repair. It had a genuine 74,000 km's on it and presented a lot better than some of these cars coming in these days with "30,000kms" inside and out.
  14. Or how about you post a price as per the forum rules.........
  15. Teins sold to me. Had a look at these R34 GTR wheels. They are perfect condition and very cheap. Someone buy them!
  16. ECR33 111235 is a 07/96 White GTS25t type-M 5 Speed
  17. Sold yesterday Steve. From advertising to sold in a couple hours at most.
  18. Takes about 5 minutes to have the whole back seats and parcel shelf out once you've done it a few times. Trickiest bit is getting the seat base out of the clips if your afraid you'll break something. My advice is to have a crowbar and dont be afraid to break the clips as they wont.
  19. Yep the tranny is bolted to the diff. I believe the corvette is the same. Edit: Yep, 97+ C5 corvettes mount their T56 6 speed at the back.
  20. Don't forget though that if you aren't in Sydney then the shipping price will be more or less depending on how they get the car from their port to you. Also if you are in a different state to SVI then they have to include shipping to you. Shipping between states of an R34 GTR would require an enclosed container from my experience. An R34 GTR will not get on the back of a car transporter truck because the front bar is too low. The price of an enclosed container is about $600 - $700 between capital cities. Kiwi for example drop cars at port and truck them to other capitals. This usually results in delays, costs and has resulted in damage on more than one occasion. This is one of the reasons why I would never ship with Kiwi. Kiwi offer insurance though. Although it is said that they make it very difficult to claim against it when you can't prove where the damage was done. This effectively makes such insurance worthless in my eyes.
  21. Shipping an R34 GTR cost me $1133 RORO on NYK which is one of the best companies to ship with in my opinion. you have to add GST to that though. No insurance. An R34 GTR is 11.136 cubic meters so use that figure when estimating costs.
  22. Yes it will be fine. Flat changing on the track is not recommended though as this is how the majority of failures occur by the sounds of things.
  23. I would usually put my money into the pads DO need changing and budget accordingly. $2200 sounds like they're marking up the brakes a bit.
