  1. I hope it works out. And you get what you paid for. I hate to think this is your welcome to skylines and to Australia. Good luck
  2. and we have told you what to do... He has first right to fix any issues any way he wants. You are lucky he will even discuss it with you and admit to anything. Let him fix it, if it's not done, then make him fix it again and again and again. Thats what warranty means unless it says you have choice of repairer. Read all your warranty info thoroughly and know it like the back of your hand. If you want legal advice contact consumer affairs. Don't go making threats or being an ass to the dealer and don't mention your are seeking legal advice yet.. a) He will get pissed off and mess you around, b) it may be an innocent mistake and may be fixed properly if given the chance.
  3. oh ok, if you say so. so why are you asking us? Make him fix it all under the warranty then! problem solved.
  4. There's no Statutory Warranty on a car this age. CA can try to pressure them but thats it. I have learned the hard way, bought a car and 1 week later the ecu blew up and they wouldn't do anything. They said I should have bought the extended warranty.....
  5. contact consumer affairs and discuss it with them, see what they recommend. the dealer has first option to fix the issue, if you are polite with them they might fix it properly. buying a skyline will always cost you money, so if you wanted something that will not be a constant expense you bought the wrong car. For that matter any 20 year old car will be the same..... unfortunately I think you will be in for a long painful process with this dealer, so might be better to try get a refund on the warranty and go it yourself. any car of this variety should be thoroughly checked out before purchase, even if from a dealer as they really don't know anything about it and only do a quick once over and tidy up so they can flog it off..
  6. gauge is f$%ked. install one that works..
  7. or start step by step elimination. run hose straight from intercooler piping to wastegate., see what minimum boost is there. a r32 actuator will give you about 10psi so maybe you have that installed? or maybe the one you have is faulty, have seen one on a r33 (should be about 5psi) running at 9psi...
  8. yeah it can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. try a different supplier such as https://transact.ppsr.gov.au/ppsr/SearchLanding
  9. I have not used one of those boost controllers, but doesn't the arrow usually point towards the wastegate, so it looks like the hoses are the wrong way around in the pic.
  10. for a 'good' one they can go for 11k. considering I got offered 8.5 - 9k as trade in from a car yard for mine a cpl weeks ago, they could obviously sell for more to make a profit. and they offered that if I bought a stag for 13k.. offer free shipping and sell to someone in Alice Springs! seem to be the latest fashion up there =)
  11. did you put it in through their website and did it recognise it at all? or just say there was an error. Shouldn't really need to ring them, could try a different site too.. It will only be able to provide Australian info, but its a bit more safe guard against dodgy sellers.
  12. not rare at all. Bushes are often replaced with ones that stop the pulling to the left from factory. I'd be worried if a car couldn't drive straight and vibrated......(excluding general road vibrations) you can put the VIN in this thread and ask someone to run it through 'nissan fast' which will offer you some information to check with the actual car. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/128496-vins-you-want-fasted/page-196
  13. got my radiator from ebay. perfect fit and works great.
