OK, if, in 4 years they are less than $150K and I am working for a company that does a novated lease / salary sacrifice and I am still not married then I will 'think' about getting one. Until then - The GTS-t and Gloria will have to do me !
-
Hmmm 'pop' is not good - Whem mine went pop it was 5 ringlands. When the 'pop' happened were you driving it hard ? Is there any oil in the cooler piping ? Have you lost water from the radiator ? I'd be checking the compression of each cylinder before you go driving it anywhere.

That's it - I think. BTW - That price for HKS Rods is pretty good ! And as I re-call a brand new RB26 crankshaft is like $900 from Nissan - That would make a pretty cheap 2.6L bottom end. If I wasn't down the track on my re-build I would have snaffled them up. (if in good nick of course)

What engine ?? Eagle don't make rods for RB25DET ARP don't make bolts for RB25DET

Folks - If you have been trying to call Auto-Motion and haven't been able to get through - This is because heaps of people have been ringing Aaron to find about about his fairly substantial crash and subsequent 200SX rebuild , at Indy on the weekend. Luckily Aaron wasn't hurt - so the show goes on people. I think there will be pics if the wreck and rebuild on the auto-motion web site soon. If anyone is interested, I have them on e-mail. . . . -
Fatz is a poof !

Camber, Toe In, Tow Out - ya da ya da - I have know idea what all this stuff is - I know that camber is when the wheels look really phat cause they are fully on an angle bro - so you can go round corners faster. I reckon it has something to do with the fact that the car is lowered - I sketched it out , with the force lines and stuff. I'll take it to a suspension place after I get rego - Not sure that a wheel alignment will fix this - the wear is fully severe. They will prolly ping me for the tyres when it goes in for a blury tomorrow - but that's cool, I'll get some new tyres and then take it to a suspension place. Unless, the wheels and tyres are off another car that had a problem - maybe there is nothing wrong - Anyway I'll tak it to the experts. I thought there might be an easy/quick way to tell if there was something wrong - When I looked underneath there wasn't anything broken ! Cheers for the help !
-
On the Gloria, the front tyres are worn to the belt on the very inside if the tyres - only about like 2cm - it's like someone has filed the corner of the tyre on the inside. The rest of the tyres are fine - good even - it's only the very far inside corner of the tyre. The rears are fine. Yes the car has been lowered.

Steve, On mine, they ripped the pump off the standard washer bottle and fabricated an aluminum one that is about half the size and put it back in the corner. This allows the cooler pipes to come up and get to the TB & plenum. Hmm - it's a lot of trouble and hassle though... Maybe just sell me your Trust plenum - that will solve the problem !! :) Cheers,
-
Not standard ones : These are OK: Tomei Jun HKS Iskandarian etc, you get my drift.... Just thought I'd ask if someone had these lying around Cheers,

Must have 80%+ tread. Not particulary fussed what brand/model as long as they are reputable. ie not interested in non brand names.

Confirmed list updated: I can't wait for this - so much fun! And we'll be able to give that Dunkan bloke a good run for his money after all this - Oh and that Boosted Zed bloke, who reckond Zeds are better than Skylines - meh  -
Hey John, So now you have thown down the gauntlet - I will too ! SAU-NSW have organised Advanced Driver training with the view to final outcome of CAMS C3 licences for those who participate and wish to take the training the whole way... (see here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...25&pagenumber=1 ) Not everyone is as old *cough* *cough* I mean experienced as you - so let SAU-NSW get a few 'young guns' trained, a bit of experience under their belts - and I'm sure the Skyrods will be kicking the fat zed slot car's arse ! :) PS I include myself in the bunch of in-experienced wannabe track day racers that is gonna kick that Z of yours off your 48.36 sec pedestal. So what do we need to do to reach my objectives John ? :) Let's chat over a 'V' :)
