Hey Col, How about a summary of the pricing, entitlements, how to get, how long it lasts, what it does and the web site for more info ? :upurs:
  3. I'm 'interested' - would def. join you guys in the grandstand - but will make alternative accomodation arragements cause I fart, burp, snore, hookers, drink, skanks, drink, burp, fart, snore, etc, etc - j/ks (actually I got relos) Would be driving down.
  4. Sidewaymambo & I have just spoken and I'll pick up his standard plenum on the weekend - So I'll get the same people to do the bench flow test on it and then post the results back ! Thanks Phillip ! Good stuff !
  5. Dude - you are better then me - 30 mins driving and I felt like hurling !
  6. You are a clever bastard Roy !!! Of course - that makes sense ! - I was thinking all the time that I needed to use rubber - It never even ocurred to me to use SS - Although now I think about it - they make fuel lines/rails out of high nickel content steel don't they ? Or Aluminum ?? I'm sure SS will work too but ! Cheers for that !
  7. Roy - by sight, they all look the same length. Anyone got a standard plenum (the top bit only, not runners and all) and I will get it tested for a side by side comparison. Can use my runners etc - The test wasn't that much, so I'd be happy to pay for it , if someone donates the standard plenum....... I might even buy it off you , if the results are good ! Cheers,
  8. Might have something to do with the shape of the plenum ??
  9. Hi Guys, I just got the flow bench test results back for my front facing plenum. This is a custom plemum that bolts on to the standard runners. Since there had been a bit of a debate over front facing plenums and my engine is being rebuilt, I took the opportunity to get it tested. I know this is a static test, on a flow bench so it doesn't represent exactly what is happening in the head with valve movement etc - But it's a good start for a bit of empirical analysis. 1 275.4 cfm 2 283.1 cfm 3 307.2 cfm 4 272.4 cfm 5 277.2 cfm 6 298.3 cfm (1 being front, 6 being rear - Throttle body = XF) So I am getting a 34.8 cfm difference between 3 & 4 - Which is interesting as one might speculate that most of the flow goes to 5 & 6. BTW I am no engineer - but 11.3% difference in air flow betwen runners seems a lot to me ?? Has anyone got any comparative bench flow tests for standard or GReddy/Trust plenums ? Now I gotta decide what I am going to do about this - a) Try and fix the current plenum (a bit hit & miss) B) Replace with standard plenum c) Replace with after market (Trust/GReddy) d) Just keep in and richen it up a bit Opinions and feedback welcomed folks. Keep in nice though OK ? Cheers,
  10. Hey - not everyone who works for Telstra has a Public Service mentality.......... I could if I wanted to though
  11. Congrats Jimbo :jump:
  12. Jim, it was a Bosche 044 - I beleive (in tank). Paul, I had the tank in for 8 weeks + and the smell stayed - which is why I got it ripped out. Maybe I get those fandangled fancy non-fumage hose specially for fuel and a different surgey....... I'll gave a chat to the boys.
  13. Dun good Ash !
  14. The Auto-Motion fax number is the same as the office number - 02 48722-622. Fax those booking forms in guys - 2 weeks to go, to get these in - and 4 weeks until the first Stage !
  15. Your fuel filler might be leaking - I had that too ! When the surgy was completely removed, smell went away !
  16. Hey Peeps, A while a go I had a surge tank fitted in the boot - but I got them to take it out cause I constantly could smell petrol and it really made me feel sick. They told me that fuel can sometime seep through the rubber pipes used in the installation - not leak, but just fumes seepage or something like this. Is this smell of petrol common with in-boot surge tank installtions ? Is there any wat to completely eliminiate the fuel smell ? Would braided lines help ? (I have heard no) Cause I am thinking of doing another surge tank with in-line fuel pump this time but don't want any fuel stink. Cheers,

New members pay just the $15 application fee Mark: The CAMS licence structure has five levels, ranging from Level 1 (novice), through to level 5 (international). Levels 3 to 5 are discipline specific (e.g. Rally, Circuit, Off Road, Superkart), where a level 2 licence is for generic club motor sport. Level 1 Licence used for club recruitment promotions, or a specific non-competitive part of a competitive event. Level 2 Broken up into two parts, Level 2NS (NS for Non-Speed events), and Level 2S (S for Speed events). A level 2NS licence entitles the competitor to compete in events such as observed section trials, touring assemblies and non-timed road events, and motorkhana and khanacross events up to International level. A level 2S licence entitles the holder to compete in 2NS events plus regularity trials up to National Championship level, single and multi-car speed events (not racing) up to International level, and touring road events that do not run over closed road sections. Level 3 and 4 (up to National Level) Entitles the licence holder to compete in rallies, circuit events, off road or superkart events, depending on the type licence issued. The national licence has individual requirements specific to each discipline’s licence. Holding a licence at national level in one discipline does not entitle to race you in another discipline. Level 5 (International Level) The FIA licence, required to compete in International events. Again discipline specific, the licences have additional requirements to national licences. 21. NEWS FLASH ! OK Guys & Gals - I just heard back from Aaron on a few points of clarification. 1) For anyone who decides to take advantage of the package deal (all three courses), but then cannot make it to a course because of being sick, work, etc - They can re-schedule that days course with Aaron on another day that Auto-Motion runs that same course (as long as there are places available). Obvioulsy the SAU group will not participate in the re-scheduled day. 2) For those who opt for the three course package - Revised payment options of 50% deposit payable by 31st October. Balance payable on or before the day of the first course (ie November 12th). 3) For those folks who wish to continue on and do the CAMS C3 Observed Licence Test - This is an additional days training. This day is normally $550 through Auto-Motion . BUT for SAU folks who take advatage of the 3 days training - Aaron has agreed to offer this C3 CAMs day at $220 ! That is less than half price ! Auto-motion are really looking after us here guys. So take advantage of this training - It will shave seconds off your lap times for less than the cost of a decent mod to your car !
