Best value brake upgrade for GTS-t
B-Man replied to B-Man's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Roy - I think those DBA 5000 Series are for GTR so would need Bremblo calipers to go with them. I've seen GRT Rotors and Bremblo Calibers for sale on this forum for about $1600. DBA 4000 upgrade will be about $1000 minus 15% members discount (w00t) Brainded Lines $550 (with members discount - double w00t) So Option 1 = ~ $1450 pus pads Option 2 = ~ $2200 Option 3 = well over $3500 I'd say. Hmmm if I get the Bremblo's I could put the 4 pot GTS-t calipers & rotors on the Gloria ! Hmmmmmm -
Best value brake upgrade for GTS-t

Agree with you Roy & Dino - What I should have said was " which one will stop me most consistantly on the track - for the best $$ ?" I seriously doubt that I will be driving as hard on the road to warrant a brake upgrade over the standards R33 brakes - So I suppose after thinking about this, it is all about the track ! Cheers for the help peeps. -
Hi, What if one was to extend the standard inake runner up into the forward facing plenum - an extenstion if you wish of the runners, and then bellmouth the ends (that are inside the plenum) ?? This might go a way to allieviating the leaning out of cyl 5 & 6 - However, it also may disrupt the air flow in the plenum dramatically.
-
Maybe more 'flow' at same boost ????

just bought R33 wheres my battery!!!

Hey thes0pranos Nice one ... How about helping others out instead of bagging them - this forum is about cars and sharing information - not being a knob ! -
That was an awesome match ! I thought the Roosters would win by a country mile - But when the scores were still level towards the end of the first half, I changed my mind. Hows about some of those hits - big, huge tackles - It was good to see the Panthers get up ! Well done to Penrith ! Top Match !

Ummm - I just want to take my old seats out and put new ones in without too much modification or ripping stuff off my old seat base/rails - PM Me with contact details/phone number , or call me tomorrow on 0402 030 038 (Brendan) - I'll come around tomorrow to check them out. Cheers, -
YEs, I understand they work with the std hydro lifters - I'm not changing mine anyways - Unless the head people do that without me knowing about it. Price - Well, I think I'm paying a bit more than normal - but I'm also getting a package deal and make up for it on other things - So you should be able to get better then $1200-1300 - Cheaper if you import yourself (But not quicker) you pay a premium for off the shelf stock on Oz......

Best value brake upgrade for GTS-t
B-Man posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi All, First time in the Suspension, braking and tyres section - no doubt the last time. I want to upgrade the brakes on my R33 GTS-t and have been doing a little research on options. The car will be used for street and track - hopefully more track, depending on my ability... he he So the options are: * DBA Slotted Rotors, quality pads - braided lines (legal ones) - Least cost option * As above but GTR Bremblo Calipers on the front (source second hand) - Med $$$ * AP Racing or Wilwood - This option is the whole nine yards - big $$$ So - which is the best value (not lowest cost , I already know that) - which one will stop me better for the best $$ ? -
I dun think there are any SAU cruzes - BUT, I was riding my pushy aloing Pittwater Rd (Brooky) today (Sunday) And I saw heaps & heaps of modified cars on some sort of cruze - Lots of V8s, Hot Rods, Show Cars, Rotors, etc Looked tops !

SAU-NSW Advanced Driver Training (Great Deal) Nov 12/ Dec 12/ Jan 23
B-Man replied to B-Man's topic in Events Archive
Folks, As Phase 2 is a 4 hour skidpan session - we don't want to see this day being booked out by folks who are only interested in this Phase and not the other days I dare say that we will get more interest in this day than the others - So, I'll ask Aaron about this - but since it is a 4 hour session - we might dedicate 1 x 4 hour session for those of us who are signing up for the whole program - And there might be another 4 hour session (same day) for those who want to only participate in Stage 2 only. I'll check this with Aaron. -

Of course full days are available as well. PHASE 2 SKID PAN 4 HOURCALENDAR Welcome everyone to 2003, we have a few changes in store for you this year to enhance your driving pleasure.
