  1. Duncan, That would be BAD-T00N Tosh - I'm not up there with all that LEET (1337 ??? or 7331 - WTF ?>>) Stuff.... AIR-01G is gone too...... What about: VIP-31Y ???
  2. ***c i'm an idiot ! OK PM.....
  3. OK guys & gals, I'm getting my Y31 Nissan Gloria this week and I've been thinking of number plate for her. As a bit of background, the Y31 Gloria has a VG20DET motor, is a 4 door (no B Pillar) VIP cruzin machine. The rules are that it can't be a 'custom' plate. Here's what I have come up with so far : THE-31Y WHY-31Y AIR-07G (Gloria backwards - but this one is gone) WTF-31Y SXY-31Y BRF-31Y (my initials) VGZ-03T BF-007 (wanky yeah) BF-001 (wank wank) SAU-31Y SAU-001 If you have a suggestion - I'd be happy to hear it ! Cheers peeps.....
  4. You can stay at my place Seriously, find a place at Manly, Bondi, Bronte, etc around there - get close to the beach and close to the city... Manly Pacific is OK ? Manly Radison ??
  5. Duncan - did you say AM or PM ??? I got a memory live a sive (see I can't even spell sieve, seive, siv ahh whatever) Thanks,
  6. Tony, I think Andrew has the HKS 3040 - this one is a Garret GT3040 - buggered if I know what the difference is. CGC say that these are either 500-600HP Turbo - but I think Merli's had more potential than that. If they are similar, then I think may this one would be too laggy for an RB25 - But perfect for the RB30. Needjapcar - looks sweet mate - yeah keep us informed !@
  7. Is this a Biante modeL ?
  8. Anyone using one of these ?? Any experiences ?? Comments thoughts ? Specs: Garrett GT3040 Ball Bearing Turbo:- Aftermarket Applications Part Number #GSB8005A for 500hp #GSB8006 for 600hp Rated 500-600hp Spec's:- 0.63 0r 0.82 /r Turbine Housing (4 bolt outlet) 0.70a/r Compressor Housing Watercooler Centre 56 Trim Compressor Wheel (T04S) 55 lbs/min Comp Flow Max. 84 Trim Turbine Wheel External Wastegate $2500 new from GCG - Save $460 as it is on special now. Seems like a good buy. But how good is the turbosharger ?? Considering the XTRGTST-STG2 500hp rated is $2450.00 - and that is on an exchange basis. I understand that a bit of fabrication might be neccessary to fit the GT3040 to an R33 GTS-T ?? Thanks in advance.
  9. Hey all, Who can tell me the technical difference between the 450HP hi flow and 500HP hi flow turbos that GCG offer ?? (and don't say 50 HP please) I'm sure Sydneykid et al will know.... Is it that the 500HP job can handle more boost or does it flow better ? And if so , why ? Thanks in advance.
  10. 240rwkw until engine let go !
  11. And yes folks - Fatz brought the rego papers for the Corolla !! He he. Better late than never Pete - I never doubted you M8 ! A HGE thanks to Duncan and Kel who organised the vast majority this event - Great one guys. Hopefully the first of many more successful SAU-NSW events. Good to see everyone wearing the Skylines Australia Shirts too. Pity about the wind - Pity about the Club meeting - But hey 5hit happens - it was a great day ! Did y'all like Duncan's trick question ? - That must have got a few of you ! (we all know it was deliberate - not) Can't wait for the show and shine day ! Congrats to Dino, Lisa, Anne and Simon too ! And as always - nice to put a face to some SAU names ! Cheers guys.
  12. Hi, and wlecome to SAU. Nobody will flame you for thinking about trading your Rex on a Skyline. Infact we Skyline folks oftem mix with Rex owners. We're all pretty friendly, most of the time. AS for your question : I've seen R34 GTTs for 35K-55K - it really depends on condition, modes, colour preference, etc. I'd be saying that $42 K wwas average - Factoring in some negotiation, you might get it for $40K - Having said all that - I saw a White R34 GTT on Geoff Risbey's site the other day for $28K plus ORC (Prestige Motorsport) This one was a tiptronic.
  13. Injectors are being checked - if good I will sell them and replace with Sards what ever the results. Fuel pump (044) will be tested too - If farked, new 044 goes in Engine Munching Systems (EMS) computer is being replaced by PFC and Q45 AFM. Tomei 256 Cams going in Turbosmart E-Boost - Electronic Boost control Oil Cooler, Larger baffled sump Nismo Engine mounts HKS 1.6 mm composite head gasket --><-- this far from ordering a Trust plenum from Nengun Yep - I set a record - 5 out of 6 is a pretty good effort ! ! I'm thiking new turbo now - since I'm doing everything else. How's the 3037 Steve ? Cheers,
  14. Oh, Boostd - as I recall , I think I was making full boost by 3300-3500. So yeah, thanks for that ! Cheers,
  15. Well, the car is the shop now. And I went round there today to see them take the head and pistons out so we could assess the damage. Results: 5 busted pistons - Ringlands. Bits and chunks going everywhere when the pistons were removed. (See pic). The good news was that there was no bore damage and the bearings looked good. (But these will be replaced anyhow). Interestingly - the timing belt that was meant to have been replaced 5000kms ago looked very similar to a worn orginial timing belt. I wonder what else we will find. So the Block is off to get decked, prepped , painted, etc. The conrods are off to get measured, balanced, shotpeened, linished and cryo hardened. The head is off for a port and polish. Should be on the road in a number of weeks - Yay !
  16. Mark, the observation rally tomorrow starts at 9:00 am for a 10:00 kickoff - Be at 6C, Homebesh. Sounds like you missed al the excitement last night......
  17. WTF is car surfing ?? Sounds fu(ken stupind anyway !
  18. Mark - that's been all checked out and we are good to go at Homebush. All car-parks are open and no road closures affect our route. c y'all there. Cheers,
  19. Yo mumma Fatz - Yeah Yeah - they are in the mail !
  20. In - Jeez it will be good to have a car back again !
  21. I'll donate Fatz's old Corolla - but it's out of rego, and he still hasn't sent the damn rego to me - Runs good but.
  22. How many k's has the engine done ? Reason for sale ? PM me if private. Thanks,
  23. I'm a financial member (i think) and I don't have one - so I think it is just special members that get these.
  24. What and how exactly does bellmouthing help intake systems ? Does it increase velocity or flow ? Or does it help with consistant air distribution ? Why 'tuned lenghth' bellmouth ends ? What does the 'tune' do ? Is it somehting to do with the pulse of the air flow ? I know that these questions have probablly got 4 Uni subjects of theory behind them - But simple answers in B-Man speak would be appreciated. Thanks,
  25. Hey Carlo , how do I get my CAMS license through SAU ? Cheers,
