Very interesting clutch.. although a few ppl have destroyed the clutch while rev dumpin?? still thou, sounds like an awesome clutch.. i did say most singles theres bound to be some insane singles out there.. but i didnt think so cheap
-
lol @ full monty.. the highest rated single plate ive ever seen was a 500hp unit... from exedy.. hks one is rated lower and so is almost everyone elses.. give us details of this clutch champ.. otherwise.. ur talkin shit
-
if theres one thing ive learnt with imports is dont trust the work unless u do it urself.. my car was suppose to be stock when i bought it.. made 296awkw... i thought instantly.. cant be stock turbos and sure enough they werent stock.. they had a fairly large compwheel.. but ceramic exhaust wheel... so @ 18psi 1 snapped off and destroyed the motor
-
No theyre not that undriveable.. i dunno what most ppl r on about.. ive driven quite a few cars n raced some with twin plates.. they arent that bad.. theyre like a button clutch nothing u cant get use to.. actualyl theyre not as bad as a button because u can ride a twin plate im quoting dyno numbers Keets because u obviously dont know anything about the REAL abilities of the stock items.. u claim u need cams and cam gears to get that power when u simply do NOT need them the stock units are PERFECT for that power. I have been advise to leave the stocks all upto near 400kw's.. sure u can change the cams and gears, but do u need to?? NO.. so why waste money??
-
anything but a twin plate will slip on a 4wd launch.. its too much stress for a clutch... as for Keets... 15psi all depends on turbos. i could run a massive turbo and make 400kw on 10psi.. that doesnt mean my gears r efficent.. just means the turbo flows a shitload of air @ the boost my turbos were only hi flows.. not garrett 2860's of any kind. stock cams r perfect as are the stock gears.. u can play with the delivery of the power with the gears but ur only gonna move the powerband up or down.. so if u fatten ur mid section, u lose top end. simple
-
i didnt do the turbos myself so i have a good excuse to have still ran the stock dumps n fronts lol otherwise it would be pretty stupid to remove turbos without doin them..
-
it'd be nice if ford pulled its finger outta its ass and built a mustang to destroy the vette...
-
u wuold change the cam gears to make 320awkw keets?? damn ur clueless... i was sittin on 296awkw on the dyno @ 15psi and runnin around 18psi when i got off.. thats over 300awkw stock cams and stock cam gears and stock dump n front pipes.... stock injectors and fuel pump and regulator.. although things were gettin a lil lean by then. im also running what appears to be stock afms. i wouldnt go for a 5puk clutch thou.. theyre nasty to drive and they wont like 4wd applications. save extra coin and go for a twin plate the stock cams n gears r good for well over 320kw.... if u dont think so, look around the dyno thread and see how many ppl r makin close to 400awkw with stock items

Gtr Vs Gtst Huge Difference In Performance?
Bumblebee replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
R33GTS25 i think everyone knows the gtr is better... but its more of what u want the car for... i love my gtr and it was fkn quick as, fun to drive but thats what i want atm go back 3-4 years ago, and i bought an rx7 instead... gtr just wasnt for me back then. gtr > gtst but i have seen some insane gtst's out there that will whoop a gtrs ass on the track that said... the are a heap of gtrs that rule the track too... last time i hit the track, i went in my shitbox civic.. i owned all the gtsts and gtrs there that day.. does that mean the civic is the ultimate race car??? hell no... just means the other cars werent up to scratch.. big deal -

lol @ cubes... ive never had any gtst even come close to keep up to my gtr "once rolling" hahahah infact my old 180sx use to destroy all the gtst "once rolling" as for boring.... i dunno about u, but doin well over 100km/h down the black spur and havin the rear end step out when ur not expecting it, isnt quite so boring.. neither is launchin it @ 7000-8000rpm and having ur ass planted into the seat as the car grabs the road... a gtst isnt quite so boring either when its got 300rwkw... quite fun actually.. reminds me alot of the 180sx... shit chassis for traction a shit box compared with an rx7 or gtr. plain and simple.. theres a reason why the never raced the gtst in any class... it just wasnt fast enough -

i love ur love for the gtst roy ur a one in a million champ. and id love to see ur gtst on the track, would be interesting to see and im sure uve handed alot of gtr owners theyre ass but the gtr is still king of the street and track 253kw std turbo gtr vs td06 (which isnt a small turbo) rb20.. nice work... throw a gt35r on the gtr and see how that goes or even just N1 turbos... factory upgrade and see how u go -
its funny how everyone tries to save the gtr.. ur all like those faggots from the corvette forums when they got beat WE GOT BEAT, BY A FKN CIVIC AND A FKN RX7 get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the rx7 as an awesome handling machine i had one.. i dunno bout u rev210 but my rx7 never had traction issues... and that was crankin well over 300kw @ wheels when i done with it... chassis was well sorted as was the suspension and everything else.. awesome car, no weight and plenty of power and grip. Sure the GTR is an awesome piece of kit.. but its no feather weight. its a fat fat bitch and it wont be able to compete with a purpose built rx7 unless it goes on a SERIOUS weight loss program props to the rx7.. for now
-
lol theyre almost the same thing... its not like they have better turbos.. theyre both gorrillas... both make some power, both have same brakes, different suspension but nothing like aftermarket anyways and the diffusers and MFD functions.. big deal. not worth the extra coin.. save the coin and use it on the non vspec and get better performance mods only one worth gettin is the Nur spec.. N1 engine and N1 turbos..
-
its funny how most of u think gettin a motor bike will fix all ur problems how wrong most u are.. yer sure ull save money @ the pump, sounds good but biek tyres are very fkn expensive and they dont last 60,000km+ and they arent cheap either... try 300+ just for normal touring tyres.. nothing special.. and pads?? lol 30 brake pads?? try again and those dont last as long either.. infact.. nothing last long on a bike.. chains dont last very long and neither do the sprockets... and then theres the expensive as oils because they gotta live in an engine that can rev to 12k+ then theres rego which is my dads case which is just a gsxr750.. more than his commodore... and also the insurance and all the gear u need while riding.. Bikes arent cheaper. u guys need to understand that unless u own a scooter... then there is no advantage to a bike at all
-
my gtr also drank around the same.. use to get 450k to a tank... 412hp @ all 4 lol forgot to add.. i live in the city so city drivin is all it ever did

Gtr Vs Gtst Huge Difference In Performance?
Bumblebee replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i think we're gettin off topic i think in almost any situation except driftin lol the gtr is far superior it has better brakes, better handling, better tractabilty, greater potential, better seats lol it all depends what u want from a car... ive always loved the gtr, but i never bought one earlier (got mine in august) because its not what i wanted yet... i had to give other cars a go first p.s: sorry that 813 was when i made 287kw... @ around 250kw which is only 30kw less, id probably have over 700nm @ wheels -
Gtr Vs Gtst Huge Difference In Performance?
Bumblebee replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
they are lighter... but so is a s14.. even lighter still and 630nm @ flywheel??? cool ive got 813nm @ wheels i think thou, the reason for the torque levels isnt so much the capacity, although it does play a lil part, its the amount of air the twins flow compared to ur one single... get me?? like could be similar PSI but in actual air volume, its greater on a twin. thats all i can come up with -
Gtr Vs Gtst Huge Difference In Performance?
Bumblebee replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
R33GOD, u must be insane to think u could take on a gtr of similar power... similar power isnt what allows u to win.. its how that power gets down and delivered that matters.. i ran a 230rwkw s14 when my gtr was only makin around 200awkw... we did both rolling and off the line i slaughtered it. not just beat it.. i slaughtered it. why?? probably because i had a shitload more torque than he did u dont see same 1/4 figures from similarly powered vehicles either... i could easily reel off an 11sec pass... ud struggle to get 12s because of traction. even ur trap speed will be much lower... 2 completely different cars. -
3rd place- #22 Pro-Staff R Magic FD3S Mazda RX-7 (Best Lap: 55.947sec, Top Speed: 217.742 km/h) fastest rx7 this year... but it was beat by 2 GTR's.. R34 me thinks but 55.94 secs is fkn quick lol

lol @ crazy "supra" and that NSX is gonna be something seriously wicked lol, i feel sorry for all those exotic cars now.. theyve all just been kicked to the curb in a BIG way

Are You Suppose To Get Boost On Idle?
Bumblebee replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
To answer the question directly... No u cant boost on idle. purely because the throttle body is closed and in the plenum u will have vacuum.. -
balanced?? the fd rx7 has always been praised for having the most balanced handling Im not suprised it owned the GTR... its always had better handling than the previous GTR's and as for a bigger track like tsukuba... what makes u think the GTR would win??? its still heavier, and slower.. sure it might be faster off the mark.. but once theyre movin, theres no stopping a tuned RX7.. i know, ive had one and even thou it had about 60kw less than my GTR, it was MUCH quicker

the 80's soarer is 80's lookin... square box r32 is far from a box and is a 90's lookin car just like the r33.. just the r33's are fatter (which can be a good thing) performance wise, r33 owns r32, but everyones got one.. there are alot more r33s than r32s and thats just life. who cares KE70's thou.... those fkn things rock! lol
