  1. My guess is that its been ripped off and dumped like that
  2. Yes I agree, One thing the Hondas got right was the whole handling and response package. Easily capable of annoying big dollar euro cars through a winding road
  3. correct me if I am wrong but a Dc2 Aus spec ran a 15.1 for the 400. Only the jap spec which made a little more power ran 14.9-15.0. Not too sure what an auto GTST will run the 400 in...Manuals run it in the mid to low 14's....Would be a close one that is if both are 100% stock
  4. Ok so I have been reading up a little on thermal coatings for engines and I really was only aware of certain things being coated eg manifolds in HPC etc. But some really practical things I am seeing is coatings of internals for improved performance. I have had a look at a few sites regarding coating pistons,Heads, valves even valve springs, Supposedly they trap far more heat into the combustion process and also have a higher detonation threshold due to reduced hot spots. I must admit it all looks great..Just wondering if anybody on here had had any experiences with it they wish to discuss

    R32 Vs R33

if only i had a dollar for everytime somebody on here compared the R32 and R33...
  6. Yeah mate spend another few hundred and do a decent dump pipe while you are at it.Its a gain that you are sure to notice. Not for just outright power but your turbo will come alive a lot earlier and with more enthusiasm
  7. lol ..I had a feeling that somehow that thread was gonna resurface in some way or another
  8. Not a bad idea either, but that caters for the rich hoons a little better,As 10k to some people is peanuts-to others its a shitload of money. And I am sure they will still drive with no licence.I guess the best way would be to way up each case individually. But regardless The person in question in the article, With the " cops wont stop me " attitude...I think a couple years behind bars is a perfect fix for him he would then have plenty of time to reconsider his " Hoon" behaviour as he kisses goodbye his possible Uni degree, his job,Girlfriend etc.......Is his dangerous way of driving worth the sacrifice ?
  9. What a waste of money crushing cars....Take it off him, sell it and throw the wanka behind bars for a few years
  10. Try sending a pm to someone like Iron chef...
  11. Waste money on a new ECU ???? Sorry mate but it would be a FAR bigger waste of money to not get a new ECU. If its a standard one like he said that tune is out like all hell for that set up and more than likely will lunch the engine
  12. Do these involve having to machine the block out to accomodate ?
  13. Very nice job indeed. What is it like on hotter surfaces ? eg calipers or cam covers ? does it have good temp resistance ?
  14. Try and turn a negative into a positive. In other words now you can fit the front Bar you have always wanted, the Bonnet you prefer, Big alloy radiator if you ever plan on track work, better intercooler set up etc if you can try and sneak in a photo from above looking into engine bay preferably with as much focus on areas like rad support etc....There are probably a few panel guys on here who may offer you some cost estimate etc work involved etc
  15. Who are you insured with ? As far as i know there is always the option of purchasing the car back when it is written off And yes i think that isnt a very difficult repair for a decent panel beater. At least with front enders the chassis rarely bends leaving you crabbing up the street. What needs to be replaced, Front bar,Bonnet ,headlight, radiator and rad support etc they fix worse than this often
  16. Wow what a fantastic and very accurate read. I doubt that Shrinks could even come up with some thing as mastermind as that
  17. I dont get why he only stole 2 and not the whole 4. He must have been sprung by somebody and had to ditch the theft halfway through. I would be asking neighbours if any suspicious cars or persons were sighted in the vicinity.
  18. Sux that that had to happen. i once had one of my cars parked right against the house really late one night and some fool broke in and ripped out Subs, amps ,stereo the lot. Was making his last trip back to his getaway vehicle when some neighbours around the corner decided to come over for drinks. Said fool did the bolt for it but we did a search and found an unknown hectic car parked in the next street. Police were called and we just waited outside of his car until he came back whimpering and apologizing making BS excuses not to call the cops as he has a sick mother at home ....blah blah... Too late junior ..Cops are on their way. He got charged and had to pay for the reinstallation of all of my stuff.
  19. Just out of curiosity what is the criteria for getting an official SAU sticker ? Is it a requirement to be a paying member or can anybody pretty much order the stickers ?
  20. Lol...Fk thats Hilarious.....I love the comparison
  21. What is the intended usage for the Car ? 500rwkw is going to be totally useless for anything other than all out Drag racing or being a Dyno Queen. With a Turbo that big it isnt going to be a nice thing to drive at all. Being able to smoke the tyres at 110kmh isnt smart. Think light switch power delivery, Your car will be like driving a mobile slingshot except with no traction...Nothing ,Nothing then wheelspin If you have a copy of Gran turismo 3 at home have a drive of the Suzuki escudo pikes peak car fully modded with no traction control...That will give you half an idea
  22. Well if I was in your shoes first thing I would have done is Bitch slap your best friend. As a one off I would say your engine is ok.But getting into the habit of revving up stone cold engines ( like some oldies do )..Not good for long term wear
  23. It really depends on how it was serviced in its life. Heck my corolla is now knocking on 300000 km with original engine. Just done a new water pump ( old one started leaking - Bastard to replace ) and a timing belt for good measure. Thing only uses a litre every 5000 + kms and not all of that is getting past the rings. Crank seal is leaking . Yet some pretty new cars you see these days are churning out Blue smoke when the car is less than 5 years old.
  24. Big flame outs on Gearshifts and the occasional stalling due to overfueling to be expected
