Ha thats funny, sounds a lot like some of the Gyms that I have been to. I just dont get it with some of these guys, They load up a bar with FAR more weight than they could possibly lift for one rep on their own.And then get a few spotters to lift the bar for them. WTF is with that ? Hell why not just get a forklift up in the Gym and load a thousand kilos and bench that? How they are supposed to feel the pump training like that beats me. Yet you will almost never see these guys doing squats. These are the guys who wear trackpants the whole year round because their legs are so small and underdeveloped they look like they have spent their life confined to a wheelchair....

Not a bad post. However I have to say I am a little sceptical about the Alleged benefits of Tribulus. I have heard so many claims of Tribulus increasing testosterone, Yet I dont recall seeing any official lab reports that can back this up. I have used it before and never noticed any difference.

I have to admit that I have used these " Pre workout " Supplements and believed that they gave me some kind of boost. However when they ran out and i had to go without for a while I was lifting exactly the same weight and rep range whether I had the supplements or not. So overall I am not impressed, Definately not worth the money payed for them

R32 GTR all the way. You could dangle the keys to any other car in front of me,and I will grab the 32 everytime. Theres just something about that late 80's shape and feel that has won me. I appreciate all the others....but R32 GTR is my Dream car

Definately sounds like a timing issue to me. odd however that it comes and goes. What sort of fuel you running in it ? Sounds a lot like the timing is retarding, A classic symptom of which is the glowing exhaust manifolds.I wonder if the Knock sensors are faulty

Well true with the AE86 parts, However there is no shortage with suspension components for them. Coilovers,sway bars etc are plentiful. A jap spec sprinter with the 100 kw 4age will beat an NA skyline.So one with the 20 valve should Mop the floor with it. Just look at the power to weight ratio and that should give more of an indication. Sprinters weigh in around 900 - 950 kgs. Factor in a 134 hp ( standard ) to 160 hp ( 20 valve ) engine and then all of a sudden you got a fairly respectable power to weight ratio. But throw some windy roads into the mix and its all over, Sprinter first-daylight second

What about something totally different to allthose that you mentioned. Howabout an AE86 Sprinter ? weighing in at around 900 kgs or so and being rear wheel drive. Plus you got the " Old school " styling as well. Plenty of choices for engine conversions at a later date also.4age 123 kw 20 valve blacktop engine would give such a light car a really good power to weight ratio to boot as well.. And to be honest as time goes by , These cars are only gonna increase in value PS a 20 valve sprinter would mop the floor with an NA skyline

Nothing wrong with being compulsive when personal safety is concerned. Mate it was a terrible experience. Something I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. To this day I still get images in my mind of it happening, And what would have happened if that bar landed on my Face or head...RIP to me if thats the case. I had a go at the staff of the Gym and the pisspoor excuse was " Why are you trying to lift something that heavy ? " FFS I just did 10 full reps by myself without really pushing too hard. As for the Grip I must admit it was a thumbless grip. I mainly do this because when you really load a Barbell up. The Thumb under tends to Hyperextend the Thumb tendon. However in this scenario I highly doubt I would have been able to stop that weight from moving even if I didnt. As for the Bar Whenever you are to use a Bar in the Benchpress. Firstly have the Bar sitting without any weights on it. Then turn the bar over a few times whilst looking at the centre of the Barbell. If you see the centre moving then DO NOT use it.. My situation was if you picture the loaded Bar , imagine that the weights were higher than the centre part of the bar. As I lifted out of the rack and brought bar forward to start point. As soon as I stopped bring it forward it spun over and boom.....

+1 Also. I also dropped a Bar on my chest except at the time I was lifting 110kg. I blamed the Barbell as on my first set I was able to do a set of 10 but it felt funny. 2nd set the stupid bar spun over in my hands and fell flat on my chest from full arms length. No broken bones but severe internal bruising. I never did Barbell bench press ever again after this.Upon inspection of the bar it wasnt straight,it was a bit like a banana.No wonder the whole bar spun on me. Smith machine or dumbells FTW

Man thats a pretty respectable upgrade. I sure hope Transmission,engine,clutch can take this sort of upgrade

Why draw the line at only V8's vs turbo cars ? Why not include V12's , rotaries, Diesels....Hell why not include a Jet engine as well........Really mate what is the point of this thread ? its just like arguing Religion or Politics There is no right or wrong - only personal preference

Yeah bearing in mind you have already spent a pack on the Commodore I would also say keep the Commodore. But do a really good value mod that I always did. Drop your Diff ratio to 3.7 or 3.45 at the least. This will really make the car pull SO much harder at all speeds. Bore a large hole through the floor of the airbox and run a ram cold air intake from the front as well..... Both of these mods should make you enjoy the machine a bit more
