  1. ^^ + 1....To run my engines in I used to do a steep hill climb ( Blue mtns/ MT Ousley ) in the tallest gear. Stop every now and again and take off.
  2. is it a sandwich plate for an oil cooler ?
  3. Man doing Donuts in a gravel carpark is a no no in a nice car like a Skyline. Think of all the Gravel chips and shit being hurled toward your paint and rims. Leave that sort of driving for VN Crappadores
  4. I had the Bostons in mine. The X over itself was about the size of a pack of cigarettes. They were mounted inside the door trim quite close to the speakers
  5. Buy yourself a cold Beer to celebrate what could have been certain disaster avoided
  6. I shit you not, But there used to be a guy getting around Fairfield in an EXA Turbo with a hole cut in the bonnet and atmo BOV sticking straight out about 10-15 cm....That looked stupid. I also seen several guys with holes cut in the side of front bar and pod filter partially sticking out. WTF are these guys thinking ?
  7. I am thinking that it isnt the ultimate flow.At high speed the air would bank up against it and rather go around as its an easier path
  8. Sympathy for you, to spend the sort of dollars rebuilding and then have this happen after only 6000 ks must be gutwrenching
  9. Quick fun little machines, But have you had a look at the sort of money people are asking for them these days ?? If getting a rotary is a must then I would be going for an earlier RX7 . even the series 6 are not that expensive anymore. As for fuel economy an old friend I had used to own one. We are talking V8 like fuel consumption here.... Are you sure you want a Rotor as a daily ? They really are more of a weekend fun machine
  10. To be truthful I have always thought that they are a good looking car. However anybody I ever spoke to regarding them has always criticised them for Being too heavy, Difficult to work on, Turbos too small for decent upgraades, fragile transmissions etc How true all the stories are could be anybodys guess.....Go for a ride in one and have a good thorough look at it
  11. Yeah nice machine, Unfortunately for me I am still some months off from buying one or I would seriously consider your one..I have seen it getting around ...Burwood Area ? Good luck with sale
  12. Yes I agree with you on that one...Knowing how the US will always support local manufacturing as opposed to an import, I very much doubt that Holden will succeed in pulling that deal off. If Holden goes down it would be a catastrophe here. Imagine the follow on effect. Part manufacturers would close down immediately Job losses in the thousands...Time will tell
  13. Well yeah you may have me there. Yes I am sure that there is some guys pushing that sort of Horsepower out of completely standard motors. But it sure sounds like a game of Russian Roulette to me. Forgive my ignorance as I am a firm believer in building an engine to suit the power goal.
  14. Stock internals + T88 ???? Sorry mate but I really see this poor RB dying a rapid death
  15. ^^ Yep that is a Beautiful 33. I was never a fan of the red colour, But the rim choice, kit etc the end result is really very nice
  16. If its a GTS4 the quick way that you will know is that it will have a torque split guage in the instrument cluster. On the left side. Post pics of the car it will help
  17. Toyota supercharger....? I am guessing that its the SC14 from the 1GGZE which has the electric clutch.I would love to see pics of this one.I am interested as to why it loses 10-12rwkw in the top end as my understanding is that the Toyota Charger is totally disengaged much like an A/C compressor when switched off.
  18. I remember getting a PM from you ages ago on this. I cant believe that it went on this long and lousy result to boot. Sorry to hear
  19. Sad to see....By any chance did this one occur in the Liverpool/Moorebank area a few years ago ? I remember seeing one identical to this up for sale at Mindaree auctions
  20. Wow ,man thats gotta be a lot of $$ spent on all these supplements. I really hope you get the results you are after. First thing you want to be doing before buying these supps is measuring your daily intake of protein/Weight ratio and seeing if that needs improvement first. I guarantee you that 99% of people who shop for supplements neglect their daily protein intake.
  21. Go the S13 Silvia. So many people go spending a fortune on AE86 Sprinters trying to be initial D...Not a good budget drifter in my opinion. Why bother when an S13 comes with the SR20 and beefier Gearbox and diff standard.Whilst the Sprinter guys have gotta spend and change pretty much everything...S13 All the way
  22. Sounds like a great idea...Pick a circuit, pick a car thats totally stock and post up lap times.Tsukuba isnt really my cup of tea. I much prefer the Nurburgring or de la sarthe II the high speed tracks are my fave
  23. Man when you first said that you had a go against the Typhoon my first impression was that maybe you had a quick squirt say 0-60 or rolling to 80......But from 100 to 180 ??? Man thats seriously a dangerous habit that you really need to get out of. Get a CAMS licence and get to the track and do that sort of thing...Not that hard these days....Our streets and Highways are crap and dangerous for high speed. Imagine if a Kangaroo or Wallaby got in front of you.....Or for some reason you just had a freak Blowout......
  24. Welcome....Quite a Beast the Soarers. I used to work with a guy who managed to get 12.8 out of his Soarer.Standard turbos boosted to 16 psi, mines computer with SAFC , front mount with full exhaust, custom Dumps etc Not bad for a big heavy luxo Barge
